Every year there are a huge range of trends spotted on the Oscars red carpet.
Last year we saw an abundance of slinky white frocks, and the year before white wedding dresses made an appearance. However, this year one trend that really stood out was the red dress.
The hue, spotted on Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams was moulded into a huge range of styles.
Natalie showed off the colour in a stunning strapless style, while Michelle Williams went for a 60s flouncy look with her frilled choice.
Emma Stone went for a deeper shade of red with her simple halterneck number, while Diane Kruger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley chose almost identical figure hugging dresses in this shade.
