If your summer wardrobe is starting to wilt in the heat, here are a few suggestions from the girls at WhoWhatWearDaily on the key accessories for this season.

We know that as far as practical fashion items go, this ShadyLace Parasol, $299, is not very useful. It wouldn’t even function as an actual parasol since it is filled with (lovely, delicate) holes that would allow the sun through.
Used as a table umbrella, we can’t imagine it’s much more effective. But, it’s so pretty! We love the leaves and branches design, and can only imagine the fetching shadow it casts.
As if Ray-Ban Wayfarers don’t get enough attention with their celebrity fans – the brand is set to draw a whole lot of attention in New York City tomorrow.
At 12:15 on the corner of 31st Street and 6th Ave in Midtown, some sort of stunt is set to go down to draw attention to a billboard designed by Ron English – the first of five contemporary artists Ray-Ban is showcasing with “Project Colorize.”

When we show you a new Louis Vuitton bag, like the $1,050 Palermo PM at right, or share our Louis Vuitton resort handbags preview, it’s a pretty sure bet that cheaper lookalikes will soon be popping up on street corners and online auctions like Ebay.
But a new court ruling provides restitution to Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton, punishing Ebay for allowing the sale of fake LV’s, Christian Dior fashions, and several prestige fragrances.
Last week we showed you our exclusive preview of the Louis Vuitton resort 09 collection, but we just didn’t have room for the accessories! So here is part one of our LV accessories report – the handbag part!
Hmm … do these sandals look familiar?
As is often the case with designer-inspired items, these Bona Drag gladiator sandals take a runway item and make it not only cheaper, $58, but more wearable.
These sandals are all-black with a more streamlined, less Lego-like look to them than the designer originals. Each buckle along the leg is adjustable for a perfect fit, though once you’ve got them how you like them there is a zipper entry.
Vegans and bargain hunters alike will also enjoy the “man made leather.”

Dolce & Gabbana have created three new sunglass designs for summer, each featuring 112 Swarovski crystals on the sides in floral formations.
Each frame will come in black or white with colored semiprecious stones like turquoise and coral.
Retailing for $960, the glasses will hit shelves at Ilori, Dolce & Gabbana boutiques and speciality stores this month.

Shopping for jewelry is one of the more intimidating areas of retail. Even for a more modest piece you’re left asking a store assistant to take things out of a case to think about and try it on in front of her with her two cents thrown in where you don’t need it.
That’s why we love shopping for jewelry online, and were excited to learn about St. Kilda’s new online shop. Read on to see what we thought.
All buckled up, this shibori-dyed organic hemp and cotton tote looks like a normal handbag. But a hidden solar panel and included cell phone and Ipod adapter prove that this bag is something different.
The Willow Tote, $332, uses solar panels to charge phones and music players while it is worn.
This would obviously be best for city dwellers who get plenty of sun while jetting from place to place. I feel like I would have to leave mine on my porch in order for it to get a good charge as running to the car or office probably wouldn’t cut it.

Images of Botkier’s handbag line for Target have hit the Web in advance of the July 20 launch.
“[It's] a mix of luxury and utility with a downtown edge,” Monica Botkier told New York Magazine. “It is for the chic, modern woman — it features rich textures and luxe metallics, combining my signature use of hardware as the jewelry of a handbag while still keeping a focus on functionality.”
The bags, which range from pochettes to totes, will all have Botkier staples like plenty of interior pockets and a long key chain.

Most of us think we’re giving our feet a break when we slip on flip flops for a majority of the summer, but apparently we’re wrong.
They’re so comfy compared to our sky-high heels we like to wear our thong and flat sandals as often as we can, and that’s the problem according to New York City podiatrist Dr. Oliver Zong.
According to Dr. Zong, “a soft-soled shoe generally does not allow the foot to naturally roll from heel to toe since it generally has a softer midfoot – and the lack of support will generally cause more injury then good.”

While we don’t condone matchy-matchy purse/outfit or purse/shoe combos, there are times when your everyday bag just won’t do. You have to swap your stuff to a evening purse or a larger tote or just a different color handbag. It can be a pain, and it’s easy to forget things in the process.
