Daisy gets nailed!
I’ve had a fashion crush on Little Mix since I first clapped eyes on them when Tulisa was using the X Factor as a perfume product placement vehicle, with a subtle arm tattoo. Jesy, Perrie, Leigh Anne and Jade make the sort of brilliantly bold style choices that inspire us to layer, clash and burn any “sensible greige workwear” that has mysteriously found its way into our wardrobe. After all, greige is clearly not the way to Zayn One Direction’s heart.
Admittedly, I’m not always bold enough to follow their look to the letter – but I love the idea of wearing it on my fingertips. So it was really exciting to hear the girls were collaborating with Elegant Touch.
Working with designer Jenny Pasha and their stylist Alex Knox, the girls have each created a false nail and wrap design reflecting their personalities. Jesy’s black stud effect press ons are awesomely edgy, but Perrie’s alternate stars and sparkle design was the one that won me over.

The wraps can last for over a week if you look after your nails, and the falsies will keep going for around three days, although they’re perfect for parties and less perfect for writers on deadline (Perrie, if you’re reading this – how do you type?) Luckily the nails come with adhesive backing, so they’re much easier to apply than traditional, glue on falsies – you press ‘em on and peel ‘em off, so you can use them next time you have a big hand based event, like some shadow puppetry or a demonstration slot in home shopping channel.

She’s known for wearing dresses made from prime steak and dressing up in outrageously weird fashion-forward outfits that make even the biggest exhibitionists around look twice. But now a darker, weirder side of the self-proclaimed Mother Monster has been revealed. We know, she can’t get darker or weirder can she?
Lady Gaga is being sued by her former best friend and personal assistant Jennifer O’Neill for unpaid overtime, and that ladies and gentlemen – a lawsuit between a disgruntled former slave friend and celebrity – usually brings out the darkest, weirdest, twisted facts about the relationship and the personal habits and demands of the celeb.
In a 14-page document recently revealed in the court proceedings the insane demands made by the star have been made public. Joy! The singer apparently requests a pink-haired mannequin to keep her company while chilling out in her dressing room as well as any type of cheese you could think of and silver satin bed sheets. Don’t think that’s weird enough? There’s more…
The Born This Way singer also requested that her room was kitted out with posters of David Bowie, Queen and Elton John, and during The Monster Ball Tour in 2009-11, her dressing-room was to be furnished with white leather sofas and yellow, lavender or white roses. Standard.
And with this Lady Gaga joins the celebs who are batshit crazy and have more demands than the Queen. But we’re not sure she beats diva Mariah Carey, whose tour and promo appearance demands are said to have included Cristal champagne (to be consumed via bendy straws) – later replaced with a $200 bottle of cabernet sauvignon, pink confetti in the shape of butterflies, and get this, 20 WHITE KITTENS (a necessity for turning on Christmas lights in Westfield). Luckily the latter was stopped by British Health and Safety officials.

And so it’s back, the hugely popular (but terribly titled) Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC1 for a new run this Saturday. This year’s line up of hot-footing slebs is the usual mix of sports stars, soap stars and TV presenters and, as always, the judges include Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Len Goodman but this year ITV-defecting Alesha Dixon will be replaced by actual dancer, ballet star Darcey Bussell. Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly are back as hosts and Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball will be running the spin-off show. Here are the runners and riders in this year’s competition.

The celebrity baby boom is still in full flow with a new spate of stars announcing they are soon to be yummy mummies.
Fearne Cotton surprised us all when she announced she was expecting her first child, while Adele is rumoured to be nearing the end of her pregnancy, despite only announcing the news a few weeks ago.
Lily Allen also announced her good news, while Claire Danes and Imogen Thomas are also expecting bundles of joy.
There must be something in that A-list water.

The Fifty Shades of Grey rumour mill is once again churning with whisperings that Emma Watson is the front runner to play shy and innocent Anastasia Steele in the films.
Earlier this month a poll on ShinyStyle found that many of you thought the Harry Potter starlet would be a perfect match for the role, with 48 percent of you voting for her as the best candidate.
But does she really have what it takes to play that innocent girl transformed into an erotic woman?
Her style suggests she may. Firstly she’s got that kooky cute look going on with her love of 50s and 60s netted frocks and skater style skirts.
However, her other style side is more siren, thanks to her dramatic bold eye makeup and grown up red carpet ball gowns.
We’re just not sure we can picture her out of Hogwarts.

Vanessa Paradis has made headlines this week over her split with Johnny Depp.
The pair are said to have separated on friendly terms after drifting apart.
Sources are citing the split on Johnny’s workload, as well as linking him to co-star Amber Heard. There are also claims that Vanessa felt overshadowed with her beau’s work life, while hers had taken a tumble.
However we don’t agree with the latter for one second with Vanessa being a hit on the fashion scene.
The actress/model/singer’s gap teeth made her a unique model for a range of high profile designers, while she was a muse of Karl Lagerfeld.
Therefore it’s no surprise that she’s a popular face on the Chanel catwalk and at events.
And let’s face it, any friend and inspiration of Karl Lagerfeld, is more than good enough for us.

Four years ago the WAGs were out in Germany, showing off their tans, taking those credit cards to their limits, tottering around in their heels and competing with each other in the style stakes.
However, this Euro competition there have been minimal outings by the WAGs. Perhaps it’s down to a lack of the queen bees such as Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole and Abbey Clancey who all made big statements with their Hermes bags, hair extensions and big sunglasses previously. Or perhaps its because these ladies have finally grown up.
Coleen Rooney has shunned the heels this competition opting for shorts and tees to take son Kai out to the beach, while Alex Gerrard has also been staying low in the style stakes.
Melanie Slade, a WAG known for her subtle style has remained that stereotype, while new WAGs such as Kaya Hall are also steering away from the style limelight.
It may please the England coaches but style gals like us not so secretly miss those fashion escapades.

Whilst we were celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee, A-listers were out and about attending a range of events.
Emma Watson dazzled in a marble print short dress at the MTV Movie Awards.
She was joined in the style stakes by Kristen Stewart who went for her trademark short dress- this time a luxe silver number, and Charlize Theron who vamped it up in a red VB frock.
Over at the CDFA Fashion Awards, Dakota Fanning and Kate Bosworth both gave nods to the 60s with cute printed bohoesque dresses. We heart.

This weekend stars stepped away from Cannes and walked into Las Vegas to celebrate the 2012 Billboard music awards.
Standing out from the crowd was Katy Perry who went for a lilac, shimmering mermaid inspired frock, while Taylor Swift made a fashion mark with her racy red long dress.
Miley Cyrus showed off her pins in a short white suit, while Alicia Keys went for a classic black tight dress.
We also heart Zooey Deschanel’s cute 60s inspired sequined tunic, which was teamed up with thick black tights.

The Corrie and Hollyoaks leading ladies stole the style show at this years British Soap awards.
Doing it for the cobbles were Michelle Keegan, who went for a stunning midnight blue long backless frock, while Brooke Vincent also followed the backless trend in a purple plunge neck number.
Samia Smith kept it safe, yet stylish, in a simple black frock.
Over in the ‘Oaks camp Jennifer Metcalfe showed off her curves in a turquoise long bodycon frock, while Claire Cooper went for a slinky silver number. Anna Shaffer also stood out in a red vintage lace short frock.
Flying the fashion flag for Eastenders was Preeya Kalidas who went for a racey red strapless frock with empire line styling and Shona McGarty kept it simple in a black frock.
Making a special appearance was Emma Bunton who also kept it simple in a black batwing dress.

Rihanna and Tyra Banks stepped out to celebrate the TIME 100 Most Influential People in the World event, wearing long pink dresses to mark the occasion.
The ladies were joined by the likes of Tilda Swinton who went for a white vintage style suit, and Georgina Chapman who also channelled this trend in a 20s feathered frock.
Also wearing white was Sandra Lee who rocked the 50s tea length dress, a sure sign that this trend is here to stay.

Pop’s quirky princess Lady Gaga celebrated getting one year older this week.
The starlet opted for a quiet do with close friends and family for her 26th birthday although she still “had a blast”. She ditched the disco and went to a cycling class and the gym and it seems the only diva demand she had was that Bruce Springsteen was played in the studio.
After the exercise the pop princess returned home to a meal cooked by her mum.
If Gaga’s style was as simple as her birthday we doubt we’d be as fashion focused on the singer. Thankfully her meat dress, statement PVC dresses and undies as well as those super high shoes give us something to talk about.

Rumour has it that two of the world’s stylist ladies had a little spat this week. At Sir Phillip Green’s 60th birthday party Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow had a little falling out after they bumped into each other on the beach.
The story goes a little bit like this: Super fit Gwyneth ran past a crisp munching Kate who asked the Hollywood star why she was jogging. Gwyneth replied: “So I don’t look like you when I’m older.”
This prompted Kate to throw some crisps at Gwyneth and tell her to “eat some f****** carbs”.
Of course the rift has been denied by Gwyneth’s people but we’re not so sure we buy it.
And the little spat has prompted us to get a little bit feisty in the fashion stakes. We want you to tell us who of the pair is the most stylish.
Is it Gwyn with her classic, laid back style and statement party dresses or do you favour Kate’s kooky, soft rock looks?
