Penelope Cruz stepped out during day 9 of the Canne’s film festival to host an auction in aid of the Jenkins-Penn Haitian relief organisation.
The spanish actress stepped out in a gorgeous red wrap dress and silver shoes to mark the occasion, which aims to raise funds by auctioning off star’s dresses. And one celeb that really came up trump is Salma Hayek who donated the first ever Gucci Couture dress, which she wore to day one of the Cannes film festival.
However, we feel we’ve spoken enough about Salma so we decided to have a trawl around to see if we could find a frock similar to Pen’s at of course, a highstreet price. And we did. Now it’s not exactly the same, but the neckline and length are almost identical to Ms Cruz’s. It’s from Very and we think it’s a steal at £59.
Team it up with flats for a day in the office or with heels and accessories for a night out.

We’re all for wearing our clothes as much as possible but it’s very unlike stars to do the same making us wonder if Myleene Klass has become a victim of the clothing credit crunch.
The presenter who is currently enjoying the highlights of the Cannes Film Festival has not stepped out of her bright yellow shoes since, it seems, the event started teaming them up with every outfit she’s been snapped in at premiers, parties and even out and about.
Myleene teamed up her peep toes with a chiffon layered skirt for the Chopard party and then again with a white tea length strapless dress for the De Grisogono Dinner Party and now they’ve made their way into her everyday life too.
The starlet was snapped yesterday out and about in a black and white spotted boatneck dress, which she teamed up with a red bag, and yes, you guessed it, those yellow shoes.
View our mini gallery to see what we’re talking about.
What do you think of these peep toes and do you think Myleene is setting a good example to us fashionistas by showing you can wear the same thing over and over again. Leave your comments in the box below and let us know.

Day seven of the Cannes Film Festival saw a huge range of events. But one that really stands out to us here at ShinyStyle in the Chanel Party, which was of course hosted by Karl Lagerfeld.
And it came as no surprise that Vanessa Paradis was the guest of honour. The model who turned up with hubby Johnny Depp, looked stunnng in a black backless dress and shoes andkept it casual with minimal make-up and loose hair.
Vanessa is fronting the new Coco Coccon collection for the brand this year, but it’s not the first time she’s been associated with Chanel.
The actress has frequently chosen to walk the red carpet dressed in ChanelL, and in 2004 Karl made her the ambassadress of the “Ligne Cambon” handbag range. The following year, the designer asked her to pose again, this time for the “New Mademoiselle” bags.

Yesterday we reported that Cheryl Cole was being paid £250,000 to perform at the De Grisogono jewellery dinner party at the Eden Rock Hotel in Cap d’Antibes during the Cannes Film Festival.
And last night, wearing a strapless Roberto Cavalli dress and jewellery from de Grisogono, she did her thing singing ‘Fight for This Love‘, ‘Three Words‘, ‘Parachutes’, and a new song, ‘Stand Up’.
The singer was escorted at the event attended by the likes of Naomi Campbell by the head of the company, Fawaz Gruosi and we have to say we think she really stands out as one of the best dressed of the festival.
Keep reading for for our daily Cannes Festival round-up.

While many of us were spending most of our weekend avoiding the wet weather, shopping and getting over the shenanigans of Friday and Saturday night the A-listers were living it up in Cannes for the weekend of the 2010 Film Festival.
Naomi Watts, turned up to thr arrivals photocall in a printed Diane von Furstenberg dress before following in the footsteps of Salma Hayek and wowing in a Gucci Couture frock, while Evangeline Lily wore Emilio Pucci for the You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.
Elsa Pataky opted for the traditional bridal inspired white dress worn by many A-listers at many awards events this year while Roxanne Mesquida also wowed in a Grecian inspired strapless frock in gold and cream dress for the premier of Kaboom.
Check out our gallery for the best dressed celebs of days 4 and 5 of the Cannes Film Festival 2010.

While many of us would just be happy with one nice dress on a night out, celebrities and their bank balances can demand much more.
And Eva Longoria is just one example. The Desperate Housewives actress wowed us on the first night of the Cannes 2010 Film Festival opting for a white, bridal inspired frock to take her down the red ailse carpet.
However, it seems either the big frock got the best of her or she just wanted to show off as she was snapped at the Robin Hood after party in a gold metallic short dress.
Despite our bridal jibes we think she looked lovely in both frocks, but we’re leaning towards the gold one for our favourite.
Let us know which one you prefer by leaving your comments below.

We’re not ashamed to admit we’re slightly envious of celebrities. They get to don pretty dresses, get their make-up done and turn up to glamorous parties. However, it seems that they too can have one dress too many and what’s the best way to clear them out? Donate them to charity of course. This is something Brit actress and ShinyStyle favourite Carey Mulligan has decided to do.
The starlet is joining the likes of Elle Macpherson and Alexa Chung and donating the Vionnet frock that she wore this year to accept her Best Actress award, to Oxfam, to raise money for the charity’s women’s projects.
Carey told Vogue: “I’m honored to be able to donate my Bafta dress to support Oxfam’s work helping women living in extreme poverty across the world.”
The dress will have a starting bid of £50 and will be auctioned alongside other items from 10am onwards on Thursday 13 May.
Funds raised from the sale of the dress will go to Oxfam’s women’s projects across the world to support vulnerable women.

They may have dressed up to the nines for the 2010 British Soap Awards on Saturday night, but our soap stars weren’t as bright eyed and bushy tailed yesterday morning.
Although some starlets including Gemma Merna and Jorgie Porter did their best to dress up at the risk of being snapped.
However, others went for the trackie and no make-up look complete with the obligatory bottle of water and big sunglasses to help, with what we can only assume, those post soap award hangovers.
We think there’s a huge difference from the stunning frocks of the night before to the morning after, but we’re pleased to see that even celebs have hungover dress down days.
Take a look at the gallery below and let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.

Unlike many of the A-listers that turned up in fab frocks for the Met Ball over the weekend, Alexa Chung opted for an androgenous style.
She turned up at the fashion focused event looking stunning in a Phillip Lim tux, which made her stand out from the crowd in a good way. To give the look a more femine feel Ms Chung also teamed this up with a cutesy girly blouse, which looks suspiciously like Chanel, a brand that Alexa is a huge fan of.
However, one of our favourite parts of this outfit was Alexa’s black shoes. We’re currently trying to find out where these are from (if you know please tell us by leaving your comments below) but we’ve found a very similar, and we’re sure, cheaper pair from Shudoo.
These Bertie Seychelles have a peep toe, which is perfect for the summer, and come in at a very reasonable £80.
Grab them now.

Last night the WAG brigade was out in force as Manchester United players hit the red carpet for the annual Man U player of the year awads.
However, although Coleen Rooney was the style star of the night in a LBD complete wth a statement zip at the back, the famous WAG, who never usually puts a foot wrong, made the ultimate faux pas leaving the sale labels on the soles of her shoes.
We know this is something that happens to the best of us, although our labels would read New Look rather than Coleen’s Louboutins, but it’s not something we expect from our favourite WAG. Perhaps it’s the late nights and early mornings she’s been experiencing since the birth of her little boy.
Many of the player’s wives and girlfriends made a sophisticated albeit sombre approach opting for black, with the exception of Michael Owen’s wife who wore an on-trend 50s frock, and a few WAG wannabes who took tack to a whole new level.
View the gallery below for all the fashions from the night and let us know your worst fashion faux pas by leaving your comments below.

Kristen Stewart has become a style icon in her own right.
Unlike many of her Hollywood counterparts the Twilight star has shunned the girly cutesy look and gone for a funky fashion look which gives an ever so tiny nod to the Gothic trend.
The key part of Kristen’s style is that whatever she wears she looks comfortable in and although she favours casual styles such as jeans, trainers and hoodies, she also looks hot on the red carpet thanks to her choice of little dresses and heels.
We’ve picked our some of Kristen’s best looks and matched up some highstreet versions for you to buy.

This story won’t really come as a surprise to many of you, especially, if like us, you think Cheryl Cole is stunning.
The troubled singer has just been voted as the world’s World’s Sexiest Woman for the second year in a row in FHM‘s annual poll.
Cheryl beat Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, who came second, and Angelina Jolie, who came a pitiful (no pun intended) 70 on the list, to regain her crown for the title which was voted for by readers of the magazine.
What do you think of the result? Does Cheryl deserve the crown or do you think there are others out there who are better? Let us know by leaving your comments below.

Celebrities are becoming huge in the world of campaigns and not a week goes by when we don’t tell you about a new partnership, from Madge for D&G, Cheryl Cole for Loreal and even Beth Ditto for Evans.
However, just as we thought this was becoming the norm it seems some designers are rebelling against these celebrities. According to WWD a recent report has found designers are going back to their roots choosing models over the latest hottest Hollywood celeb.
Designer Stefano Pilati, who is shooting Yves Saint Laurent‘s campaign, said: “Actresses are fantastic, but they’re not models and it’s not easy.”
“[Actresses] have an attitude, but will never be the fashion attitude. To me, fashion photography is with a model; otherwise, it’s a portrait.”
And his views were echoed by Frida Giannini, the creative director at Gucci, who tapped statuesque Raquel Zimmermann for the Italian brand’s fall-winter spots.
“The other issue with celebrities is that they are characters who are often associated with a certain film. I prefer a strong, generic face that’s not related to any world — whether that be music or Hollywood.”
And Karl Lagerfeld always ensures he uses models for his Chanel campaigns, why? “Because I love them: They have the right look and class,” he said.
We’ve already seen a few brands going back to their model roots. One example is St John, which dumped Angelina Jolie in favour for Karen Elson, last year.
But what do you think? Take a look at our gallery of models and actresses in various campaigns and leave your comments below.

Katie Holmes has always been known for her style. However, over the past few years the fashion focus has been more on her little girl Suri, whose trademark heels have become a statement in their own right.
But while Katie has been busy pushing her little girl into the realms of high shoes the laid back fashionista has gone the other way, opting for flats over skyscrapers.
She was spotted out and about in LA sporting a pair of on-trend retro style plimsoll trainers, which are perfect when teamed up with shorts or jeans for that casual summer daytime or festival look.
Get a similar pair to Katie’s with these high top trainers from flip flop brand Havainanas. We think they are a bargain at £45. Get them exclusively from Harrods now.

As far as my opinion of Nicola Roberts goes, she’s not someone I give too much thought to. I think she’s a reasonably stylish gal, despite her unfortunate beginnings in a television created bubble pop band. Big fan of the red hair and the pale skin, yet something has gone very wrong here. So lets learn a lesson, if you are slapping on the suncream to keep your skin pasty white this summer (as I will be), you have to be more careful with what you wear. Particularly if you’re quite slim too, showing off too much skin can just make you look like a bit ill. Combining a fragile pasty frame with a very small outfit and nothing to fill it reminds me of ladies of the night funding some kind of habit thats emaciated their frames. If you subscribe to the petite and pasty club, all showing dresses never look right. Even dita von teese tends to only show off one asset at a time at most, otherwise there’s just too much glaring white skin on show. So cover it up a bit, and tone down the colour if you want to avoid looking like your biggest fashion influence was the older side of the red light district. I’m not suggesting she’s all the way there with this outfit, but she’s definitely buying her ticket.
