ShinyStyle Gallery: Comme des Garcons for H&M

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on November 13th, 2008

Compared to reports from Tokyo, the US reception of the Comme des Garcons for H&M collection was tame. By 11:00 this morning the 5th Avenue store had calmed down, and you could shop pretty easily. If you wanted to.

As ShinyStyler Sharon said, “it really isn’t that great and pretty expensive.” So it looks like the rumors of overpricing were not exaggerated.

But for the die-hard Comme des Garcons fan, it’s still a unique opportunity to own a piece from your favorite designer.

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on November 4th, 2008

Alexander McQueen.jpg

Sure everyone gets to vote (today! so go do it!) but not everyone can buy Alexander McQueen – until this spring!

Rumors of an Alexander McQueen for Target collection were true, but the designer will not be creating a collection for the Go International range.

Instead, the limited edition collection will be for a new initiative called Designer Collaborations which launches in March. The project is said to focus on young and emerging designers.
