The 28-year-old designer – who was joined by fellow womenswear creators Louise Gray and Mary Katrantzou and menswear designer James Long in receiving the prestigious accolade – will receive a cash prize to assist him in showcasing collections for the next two consecutive seasons at London Fashion Week.

He said: “I’m delighted to be receiving Fashion Forward sponsorship. It is a huge accolade for the brand and I am excited about what the future holds.”

Meanwhile, Caroline Rush, chief executive officer at the BFC, praised Henry and his fellow winners as an “exceptionally talented group of designers”.

She said: “The recipients for this year’s Fashion Forward sponsorship are an exceptionally talented group of designers.

“2012 is set to be a momentous year, not only for fashion industry, but the UK and I am looking forward to seeing Henry, Louise, James and Mary, taking strides forward in their business development.

“Menswear in London will be put in the spotlight this year making now the perfect time to introduce a menswear prize to Fashion Forward.”

Established six years ago to provide funding to emerging British design talent, the BFC’s Fashion Forward sponsorship has previously been awarded to the likes of Christopher Kane, Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders and Erdem.

The festivities will begin with an invitation-only dinner on January 24 before the space turns into an exclusive nightclub visible online at www.24hoursmuseum.com and then opens to the public on Wednesday (25.01.12).

Speaking about the initiative, where he will show his personal tribute to femininity through interpretations of classical sculptures that make reference to contemporary divas – Francesco explained to vogue.co.uk: “They are my icons turned into sculptures and placed on marble pedestals.”

The museum will close on January 25 at 8.30 pm when the 24-hour period comes to an end.

Prada caused a sensation on Sunday (15.01.12) when Miuccia Prada – who has been at the helm of the Italian fashion house since 1978 – recruited some of Hollywood’s hottest stars, including Jamie, Adrien Brody, William Defoe and Gary Oldman, to model the autumn/winter menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week.

The Carolina Herrera designed gown – worn by actress Kristen Stewart in the movie – provided the inspiration for the $799 dress adapted by designer Michael Shettel for the collaboration between Summit Entertainment and bridal retailer Alfred Angelo and Michael admitted keeping the price down was a struggle.

He said: “There were pricing issues to try to get it down to $799. That was the biggest issue more than design issues.”

The dress features liquid satin instead of the silk used on the gown worn by Bella when she married her vampire love Edward Cullen in the film.

Carolina is also set to sell gowns which follow the same design as Bella’s dress at her CHNY boutique and the designer recently revealed Kristen found trying on the dress for the first time an emotional experience.

She told Vogue.co.uk: “In the initial fitting when Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was very moved. In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film, she was a bride, and a happy one at that. It is always very important to make the bride happy, of course, and in this case I was delighted to do so. It was a very special moment for both Kristen and the character of Bella to share.

“A wedding dress is both an intimate and personal for a woman – it must reflect the personality and style of the bride. Bella’s dress is romantic and filled with a timeless sophistication, very similar to the character. In a way, this dress served as a symbol of the character’s coming of age and introduction into womanhood.”

Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950 will see dresses worn by the likes of late Diana, Princess of Wales and actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Sandra Bullock take center stage. With designs dating back to the early fifties, these famous frocks will have been seen on celebrities as they walked the red carpet at film premieres as well as the British Fashion Awards and the Golden Globes.

The exhibition will run from 19 May 2012 to 6 January 2013, and will showcase designs by Dame Vivienne Westwood, the late Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Norman Hartnell. The latter has created pieces for both Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother and the McQueen label was, as we all know, behind the stunning wedding dress worn by Kate Middleton as she joined the royal family in April.

Other dresses in the exhibition include designs worn by Bianca Jagger and Sandra Bullock.

Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950 runs from 19 May 2012 – 6 January 2013

Joining Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby, who both design for the brand, Whitney is the face of the Autumn Winter 2011/12 capsule collection for the Love Label and Love Label Luxe.

The collection is very seventies inspired and is part glam, part hippie. We’re big fans of Very’s Love label as it offers affordable yet beautiful designs. Love Label prices range from £8 to £75 and Love Label Luxe ranges from £38 to £120.

Famous for its sexy lingerie, Agent Provocateur has made its premium collection Soirée available online. The range, which launched two years ago, has until now only been sold through selected stores worldwide because some of the items contain Swarovski crystals, making them so expensive that they need their own security.

Made from the finest silks, all Soirée items are sold in limited edition so are quite covetable objects.

To mark the online launch, Agent Provocateur has created a short horror film, Fleurs Du Mal, which sees stunning robot-vampire like models playing… almost torturing each other while dressed in the rather risky lingerie.

The most expensive item of the collection, the £15,000 playsuit will however unfortunately not be available online.
