With London Fashion Week nearly over it’s time to begin looking at some of the best collections the style world has seen this year.
And of course Christopher Kane’s AW 2012 range stands out here. Using his statement neon and unique fabrics the designer created an 80s feel with his bright purple leopard prints fashioned into knee length frocks, bright red snakeskin trousers and chunky fur coats.
Post box reds featured in sheer lace dresses with black leather trimmings while darker rouges were used to update the traditional boyfriend style knit jumper.
This key piece of the collection was teamed with floral numbers to create that mismatched statement 80s look.
We wonder if we can get a few more credit cards.
See the gallery below for all the pics from the show.

Burberry is always a show that never fails to disappoint and Christopher Bailey’s AW 2012 collection for the British fashion house was no different.
Models marched down the catwalk clutching striped umbrellas, which protected them from the fake snow that gave a nod to a quintessential British winter.
Of course the statement Burberry trench made an appearance- this year with fur and tweed twists- but what really stood out were the bow belts used in just about every look from jackets to striped skirts and as belts for coats.
Shapes gave a nod to the Victorian era with jackets flared at the waist and just below the knee A-line skirts given a little bit of an extra width, they were coupled with baker boy hats to really finish off the look.
However, the colour palate was anything but Victorian with yellows, blues and browns all making up main part of the collection.
After this display, stripes and bows are sure to be two looks that are hot on the highstreet this autumn.
See the gallery below for all the catwalk pics.

We heart London Fashion Week and can’t get enough of all the styles. And the best bit for us is how different each designer and look can be.
This weekend was just one example with Matthew Williamson and Pam Hogg both showing off their ranges for AW 2012.
At Matthew Williamson styles were – dare we say it- safe but also reflective of the designers’ style.
Shift dresses with embellished necklines and in a range of patterned, luxe and chiffon fabrics marched down the catwalk, while a red lace and feather dress gave a nod to the ballroom dance theme. Long chiffon dresses and classic daytime khaki trousers and preppy blouses completed the look.
Over at Pam Hogg the designer displayed her trademark fetish PVC fabrics, which formed bodices with sheer panels as well as featuring in thigh high boots and on military style jackets.
Latex and metallic fabrics moulded into long catsuits also gave a nod to the futuristic trend, while boning, bows, pvc and sheer fabrics gave the traditional Victorian bonnet a structured modern twist.
However, the highlight of the show for us was the Russian dollesque frock and hat outfit shown off on the catwalk by Jamie Winstone. We want….
See the galery below for all the catwalk pics.

After a successful run in New York the fashion extravaganza has finally arrived in the capital.
London Fashion Week opened with a bang this morning with designer duo Antoni & Alison setting the scene for autumn/winter 2012.
Showing a collection only made up of dresses, the name kind of gave it away ‘models walking up and down in dresses’, the designs were a mix of fairly simple cuts in various fabrics and prints.
The collection was rich in colour with playful details such as oversized buttons, houndstooth, and big florals. Now the beauty in this collection is that all the intricate textures and details are in fact printed on!
All models wore Mia Farrow cropped style wigs, creating an army of pixies teamed with winged eyes. How very 60’s.
Welcome to London Fashion Week! We can’t wait what is ahead for the rest of the week.

The Spring/Summer trends have just hit the highstreet but we’re already lusting after Autumn/Winter style thanks to New York Fashion Week.
One designer that’s caught our eye is Marc Jacobs who sent his models down in military clad jumpsuits and hats for his winter 2012 Marc by Marc Jacobs range.
Stripes and flat lace up boots completed this look, while 60s geometric prints also got a look in thanks to Marc’s use of these in shift dresses with skater style skirts, coats and blouses.
Keeping in with the winter tradition fur also made an appearance on double breasted buttoned military style coats, while reds, dark blues and blacks made up the majority of the colour palate.
If only we could get our hands on these now.

Luscious lashes were a key trend on the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks with a huge range of designers putting a great emphasis on these.
One look that really stood out however were doll lashes, which were feathered, curled and defined to really give that pretty girly look.
Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs kept their look simple with minimal make up and a thick line of liner to emphasise the lashes, while Viktor & Rolf turned the good girl into a bad rock chick thanks to their use of bright pink mascaras.
See the gallery below for the top five darling doll lash looks.

The fashion, music and acting world was left distraught over the weekend with news that singer Whitney Houston had been found dead in her hotel room.
The 48 year old was found in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by one of her entourage a Beverly Hills Police Lieutenant told American magazine People.
Despite attempts by the emergency services to resuscitate her, Whitney was pronounced dead at the scene, although there is currently no information on what caused her death.
Both the Grammy and BAFTA awards paid tribute to the talented star who not only created some great hits and films but also made a mark on the fashion world.
RIP Whitney. You’ll be missed.
See the gallery below for a gallery of Whitney.

Last night was a fashion gals dream with two main A-list events attracting celebrities to the red carpets.
Over in LA the music world including Katy Perry, who turned up in a blue long lace fishtail frock, and Rihanna who went for a backless black number, walked the style parade at the Grammy awards.
They were joined by Taylor Swift, who looked great in a gold high neck sleeved lace fishtail dress, and Nicki Minaj who took Lady Gaga’s extreme fashion place in a red satin cape. She accessorised her look with her very own Pope.
Over in blighty making a more sophisticated entrance was Meryl Streep who went for a black dress at the BAFTAs.
She was joined by Michelle Williams who went for a 50s dress with a white bodice and black skirt complete with a corsage.
Christina Hendricks showed off her hour glass figure in a black fishtail number while Penelope Cruz added some colour in a wine red strapless straight dress.

If you suffer from bad hair days then one Spring/Summer 2012 trend you’ll love is the wrap look.
That’s right, next season you can hide your bad barnet in style thanks to the likes of Marc Jacobs, Kevork Kiledjin, Anna Sui and K Nicholas making it fashionable to stick our hair under turban like wraps.
Give a nod to the ethnic look and go all out with a turban style head scarf or take a more subtle approach inspired by Marc Jabobs and Luca Luca stick your hair under a wrap with bow detailing.
We think this look is perfect for those beach locks and if you’re feeling barnet brave, a night out too.

Victoria Beckham has achieved what many singers, actresses and models all desire. She’s created a successful fashion range, which is taken seriously by the style world.
Unlike many stars which have ventured into this industry hoping their name is enough to sell their ranges, Victoria has grafted hard to achieve her status as a respected designer, showing at New York fashion week and creating ranges we all want.
She’s also become a “must have” label for stars to be seen in on the red carpet. Last year Cheryl Cole showed her old pal some serious style satisfaction wearing a light pink creation on the Pride of Britain Awards red carpet.
However, she’s not the only one with the range grabbing the attention of Gisele Bundchen, Kate Winslet and most recently Michelle Williams who wore a short patterned number for the 2012 Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon.
See the gallery below for our top five celebrities wearing VB’s designs on the red carpet.
