By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on May 28th, 2008

Chloe bag.jpg

We’re big fans of the Chloe Saskia shoulder bags, but we’re not sure sure about this patchwork version.

Sure, it seems Kate Bosworth is a fan, but what about you?

Yay or nay for the Chloe Saskia patchwork pouchette, $1,560?

Lauren Conrad loves her CC Skye Lucy bag

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on May 27th, 2008

Lauren Conrad purse pics.jpg

Looks like Lauren Conrad really loves her CC Skye Lucy bag, $795.

We’re not sure if it can be entirely credited to the bag, but these are definitely some of the more fashionable and attractive paparazzi photos we’ve seen of the star of ‘The Hills.’

It looks like the Lucy is a good style and size for everyday use and running around town, as LC is seen doing.

Hamptonites eagerly expect Mulberry pop-up shop

By Andrea Thatcher on May 21st, 2008

Mulberry.jpg

Mulberry chose a great season to open up a pop-up shop in the Hamptons, with a collection full of pops of color that the preppy set loves.

The fuschia of the Leigh tote, shown, is just one of the bright hues of the spring line full of greens, reds, and yellows.

The East Hampton shop will open on Saturday just in time for Memorial Day revellers.

“We had tremendous success with our stand-alone stores in New York and we thought this was a great opportunity to bring the brand to the client,” Joe Judge, vice president of Mulberry USA, told WWD.

Karl Lagerfeld’s handbags take inspiration from the man himself

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on May 8th, 2008

Karl handbags.jpg

If you want a piece of Karl Lagerfeld, one of his new handbags to debut in October is a great way to get it.

“We wanted to create details that are very identifiable with the designer,” Abe Chehebar, chairman and chief executive officer of the Accessory Network Group which collaborated with Lagerfeld, told WWD. “Karl has seen [the collection], and loves it.”

The details in question include silver zippers that resemble cravats, woven Ks, and tote handles in the shape of Karl’s signature shades.

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on May 1st, 2008

Temperley wristlet.jpg

It can be hard for a girl to choose between pretty and punk! But here’s a bag that doesn’t make you choose.

A sweet shape and feminine pink leather pair perfectly with your girliest dresses. Studs mean this bag would be at home at a concert or festival too.

No wonder this $595 small ida clutch from Temperley London was chosen by Elle Accessories.

Designer to watch: Roman Savell handbags

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on April 30th, 2008

Roman Savell copy.jpg

A broken zipper and overworn handles and my old black tote is shot. Good thing I recently discovered Roman Savell handbags, and their Bravo bag , $395, in particular (shown in black).

Not only do patent leather pocket and tassle details make the nylon version of the Bravo bag, $225, more stylish than, say, that other black nylon bag with a big-name label, but you won’t believe how much we fit inside it and how well it’s organized. (See pictures after the jump.)

For more about the Bravo bag and the Soho clutch, $195, shown in red above, keep reading.

Designer Pick of the Week: Mulberry Roxanna Patent Tote

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on April 15th, 2008

Mulberry bag.jpg

It greets us every time we go to the Intermixonline homepage and it has worn us down.

Sure, it’s not very fashiony and it kind of looks like the Hayden Panettiere for Dooney & Bourke bags, but we love this Mulberry Roxanna patent tote, $795.

Red patent leather accessories can be more versatile than you might think – a colorful bag is an easy way to add a pop to an otherwise boring outfit.

Barbie accessories from Christian Louboutin

By Andrea Thatcher on April 9th, 2008

Loubinette pouch bag.jpg

This may look like a handbag for a very chic Barbie doll, but at $1,195 you won’t find this Loubinette pouch bag at Toys ‘R’ Us. It’s just in at Net-a-Porter.

The cutesy-cutesy look of this hot pink satin bag only makes it more covetable for the girlie girl. But what about Louboutin’s Passmule Zeppa wedges in hot pink? Keep reading.

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on April 7th, 2008

L.A.M.B.jpg

Forgive us, but we kind of thought L.A.M.B. handbags were already high end.

But apparently we were wrong because the brand is set to launch a Black Label named Aston with bags ranging from $525 to $1,495.

Retail Site Review: the15dollarstore.com

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on April 7th, 2008

messenger bag copy.jpg

As the name suggests, everything at the15dollarstore.com is $15. It’s kind of like a dollar store, for fashion.

The catch? It’s mostly juniors clothing and accessories by brands you’d find at the Deb shop or mass retailers.

But who among us hasn’t rocked a little juniors wear long after our days as juniors of any kind had ended?
