We might have just got over the huge Jimmy Choo range for the highstreet store, but, as we all know fashion moves on as quickly as your other half when he spots the huge diamond ring you’re ogling at in the jewellers window.

The launch of this range was held last night at Paris’s Grand Palais for an extravagant show to unveil Sonia Rykiel’s the range. And what a launch it was. The fairytale themed show complete with a glittering Eiffel Tower, ferris wheel, swing set and cut-out trees strung with thousands of fairy lights, also featured Lily Cole, who held the reins of a giant moving horse head.

And it seems when the collection launches on Saturday, there may not be the mayhem we reported and timing complaints many of you told us about during the Jimmy Choo launch.

A spokesman for H&M told Grazia: “The Jimmy Choo launch was different because with accessories and shoes we gave people a specific area to try things on and limited numbers of product they could buy, but because this launch is a line of garments we don’t feel this is necessary, so there are no limits on what you can buy or try on.”

However, we’ve been thinking, and we know, if we had to wear a skimpy dress, after a few days of festive treats and drink we’d want something, that would, well, hold us in.

Yes, we know what you’re thinking, it looks like any other shapewear product on the market, but, these PeachyBody pants are claimed to have extra super powers. Peaches Geldof who is now the face of Ultimo’s Miss Ultimo line, showed off her fun and funky side posing on a merry-go-round in a range of Christmas lingerie numbers.

We love the playful styling, which includes bright coloured stockings and bows. However we think her daisy chain tattoos may be going a step too far.

Meanwhile, across the highstreet pond, Tesco has just announced that ex wag Elen Rivas will be doing her first ever lingerie ad campaign for its Diamond Boutique range.

The former fiancée of Chelsea and England footballer Frank Lampard, has kicked off her modelling debut posing in a range of purse friendly lingerie for the Christmas collection, which comes comes in sizes 32A to 38D for bras and 8-18 for briefs and includes fabrics such as silks, satins and lace.

Elen said: “Diamond Boutique delivers everything a designer brand should. The designs are elegant, stylish and fit to perfection. What’s more, even if you buy the entire collection you won’t feel guilty as it’s so easy on the pocket. Apparently even the svelte supermodels legions of women envy face some insecurity when walking in the biggest and nakedest of all fashion shows – the Victoria’s Secret lingerie show.

“For other fashion shows you can be skinny, but for Victoria’s Secret, you need definition,” says Doutzen Kroes who walks for high fashion heavy weights like Christian Dior and Valentino.

“I love feeling so sexy and I love to be on this runway, but you’re nervous because it’s lingerie and it’s on TV,” Kroes said. “There are so many people seeing you live, it’s not like a picture when there is Photoshop after.”

It’s rumored that Kroes will be wearing a frothy pink ballerina ensemble and a Greek goddess get-up in tonight’s televised event on CBS at 10 p.m.

She went on a strict sugar- and carb-free meal plan and did extra jump rope exercises to fit into her frilly finery. For other fashion shows, she’s generally able to eat “what she wants” because she exercises often.

“I’m a little shy and unassuming, which might be hard to believe with my job, so I don’t have to quite become another person out there but I have to think about letting it all go. My last outfit was a black velvet one-piece with pink feathers on the back. I had to show the camera my tail feathers so I did give a little spin,” Marisa Miller says. “Some outfits are complicated, and you have to be aware of how they shift or if they are restricting. When you’re in your underwear, a lot can happen.”

Miranda Kerr plays down the sexiness of the VS experience.

“My mom didn’t mind seeing me up there in my underwear ,” Kerr says. “I am 25 and it’s all very lovely and like a costume. It’s beautiful and romantic … it’s not like standing up there in my everyday underwear. It’s a theatrical show and everyone is there to have a good time.”
