We think a big congratulations is in order fo Coco Rocha who has just announced she has got engaged to interior designer boyfriend James Conran.
The 21 year old Canadian model come designer, told fans on her blog yesterday: “I’m very happy to announce that I am engaged. Mr. Conran proposed last week and I most definitely accepted. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy as I am right now. I can’t wait to start the rest of my life with him…
“Love you with all my heart James, xoxo, Coco.”
The couple met when he designed the interior of her New York apartment, and it seems Mr Conran is equally as excited about the proposal. He wrote on his Twitter page last night;
“We are two sappy fools in love.”
It seems today is a hot day for model announcements and this time it’s Kate Moss’s turn to be in the limelight.
The supermodel has apparently been signed up to star alongside Sex and the City star, Mikhail Baryshnikov in a ballet, rumoured to be named Baryshnimoss.
The ballet will be shown at a fund-raising event and then as a gallery installation. However, it’s not going to be an easy move from heels to points for Kate.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Kate has to be fit, healthy and looking good, so her late nights and heavy partying have to be reduced.
“I know that she is very happy to do that and has talked about wanting to get fit and healthy herself. It will be a movie made for them so she doesn’t have to be a prima ballerina, even though she is having classes.”
Naomi Campbell will be making a special appearance at Westfield London tomorrow where she will host a pop up shop in aid for her Fashion For Relief cause.
The supermodel will be lending a hand in selling the official Fashion for Relief T-shirt designed by Vivienne Westwood, which were unveiled last week at her LFW charity show and worn on the catwalk by a host of celebrities including Dame Shirley Bassey and Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh from Girls Aloud.
Funds raised from the sales of the T-shirt, which retails at £40, will go to The White Ribbon Alliance to support the health needs and rights of women and girls around the world, with particular focus on its partners in Haiti , who at this time are helping to rebuild the healthcare system for mothers and babies.
Naomi has personally signed 10 T-Shirts, which will be available for £70, at the pop-up shop, which runs until Sunday 28th February.
The supermodel said: “I am delighted that Westfield London has partnered with myself and the White Ribbon Alliance to support this years Fashion for Relief in London . I am very grateful to Vivienne Westwood and her team for their dedication to this project whilst they themselves were in the midst of preparing for their own fashion week show. The Fashion for Relief Pop Up Shop at Westfield London has been such a huge success and I’m looking forward to my visit to Westfield tomorrow to personally help out.
“Purchasing a limited edition Westwood Fashion for Relief T-shirt is a great way for everyone to get involved in raising funds to help mothers and babies in Haiti who are most vulnerable after the recent disaster.”
However if you can’t make it down to the shopping centre you can still get your hands on one of these must have t-shirts by logging on to www.naomicampbell.com.
Cindy Crawford is one of those women we love to hate. She’s beautiful, has a gorgeous figure and she’s got brains.
Following the launch of her home collection at JCPenney, the US department store chain has now announced that it will be working with the supermodel to create a range of jewellery.
“One Kiss by Cindy Crawford,” is claimed to be inspired by a henna symbol which means “kiss,” and will include silver or gold necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
Cindy said: “I am thrilled to expand my partnership with JCPenney and look forward to bringing my expertise to the fine jewelry business.”
We hope the model’s collection will be coming to the UK soon, until then you can buy the collection online.
Lara Stone has barely been out of the spotlight this year due to her high profile campaigns for Louis Vuitton and a number of magazine spreads.
And her personal life has also caused huge waves with the model announcing her engagement to funny man David Walliams last month.
However, today she’s racking up the column inches for her modelling and acting work starring in the new advert for Versace’s Versus fragrance.
The 30-second clip shows her dancing in a room full of mirrors with flashing pink and purple lights in the background. Sounds like our ideal Friday night.
Kate Moss shows us why she’s one of the most successful models of this era with this stunning shoot for Hapers Bazaar.
Posing in seductive, cleavage-revealing lingerie, Moss gets into bed with two guys before confessing she doesn’t consider herself a fashion designer: “I’m not really a fashion designer. I just love clothes. I’ve never been to design school. I can’t sketch. I can’t cut patterns and things. I can shorten things. I can make a dress out of a scarf,” she told the magazine
We’ll be buying the magazine so we can keep that quote next to us while we’re unsuccessfully trying to draw out our dream dress, and we’re sure many men will be sneaking this issue off the shelf too.
Many of us have a fashion icon that we look up to in some way or other. Sometimes its lusting over their hair, sometimes we want their eyes (not literally) and other times we wish we had their figures.
Love Magazine obviously agrees with us because for its third bi-annual edition its created eight different covers each showing a different model, who are claimed to represent our ideal of beauty in the fashion industry.
The models shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott include Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lara Stone, Jeneil Williams, Amber Valletta, Daria Werbowy, Kristen Mcmenamy and Natalia Vodianova.
Katie Grand, editor-in-chief at Love, told Vogue: “For this issue of LOVE, we took eight women who are generally acknowledged as the most beautiful in the world, got them to show off their bodies – widely regarded as the most perfect in the world – and photographed them all in exactly the same position for the cover.
“We did this to show how much they differed physically from one another, which is why we also printed their measurements.”
Evans has been the hero for plus sized ladies for a good few years now, and definitely deserves recognition for leading the way in plus size clothing.
However as a pioneer for these fashions its somewhat been left at the wayside as other retailers, such as Asos, which launched its Curve collection last week, breeze into the plus size market. And it’s not just retailers who have been making (a very appreciated) bigger is beautiful storm.
V Magazine dedicated an issue to plus sized models, while last year Glamour used a curvy woman for its cover. Mark Fast also cast size 14 girls to walk in his LFW show
Therefore it’s no surprise that Evans has really stepped up its advertising game. The retailer has enlisted a range of top plus size models including Britney Vecchio, Hayley Morley Amber Tolliver, Peeky and Crystal Renn to front its new campaign. And we love this shot which shows them wearing a selection of this season’s must have jackets.
We really hope these beautiful women can show those teeny tiny “give them a burger” models that bigger is far more attractive.

The gossip dust has barely settled following the news of David Walliams’ and Lara Stone’s engagement, but that hasn’t stopped the couple from making more plans.
And this time it’s babies.
Just before they flew back to London from Brazil, Lara told the Mirror: “I want to have a family and be a good wife. I want a family soon.”
Many men may have bulked at this quick turnaround but thankfully for Lara, David has previously expressed his desire for children.
“I’d like three,” he said.
“A little gang.”
We’re sure with Lara’s modelling genes and David’s good looks the children will be beautiful whenever the couple decide to have them.
It’s been a week of model engagements. Earlier this week Kate Moss announced she was engaged to beau Jamie Hince and today the rumour mill is going into overdrive with news that Little Britain comedian David Walliams has proposed our model du jour Lara Stone.
The couple who have been together for 4 months announced their engagement this week after David received the blessing from Lara’s parents.
Cindy Crawford is known as one of the first top supermodels and although she may not strut her stuff on the catwalk as regularly as she once did, she’s still up their as one of our style icons.
So we were thrilled when we spotted a similar pair of sandals to the ones she wore at a launch party late last year.
The Margherita sandals from Geox have the same similar t-bar design to Cindy’s black leather ones, and we love the zip detail on the heel too.
Head down to Geox now and for £85 you can turn the pavement into your personal catwalk and strut your stuff in a pair.
Kate Moss is no stranger to the world of fashion design, and unlike other actresses and models, she does it well.
Her ongoing and successful range for Topshop has had us saving long and hard for some of her pieces, and now it seems her designing conquest is set to continue with news that she’ll be creating a range of handbags for Longchamp.
The model, who has fronted a number of campaigns for the brand will be working under the supervision of Longchamp’s artistic director Sophie Delafontaine to produce the collection thought to be out around the middle of February.
But if you don’t manage to get your hands on one of these this season don’t worry. According to Vogue this is one partnership that won’t be fading out after one season.
Lady Gaga has been one of 2009 hottest stars and it seems she’ll be continuing her press domination in 2010.
Last week Polaroid announced her position as its new creative director and this week it seems the Lady herself has taken the power reigns.
According to the gossip grapevine, or in this case The Sun, she’s set her sights on Lara Stone, to appear in her next music video of upcoming single Alejandro. Although details are still a little bit shaky, we’ve gathered that the face of Louis Vuitton is number one on Lady Gaga’s casting list, and if it happens we think it’ll be an excellant collaboration.
However, there’s also some bad news for Miss Gaga today with claims that designer Mark Fast has refused to lend the singer any of his creations. According to reports in Metro News, Mr Fast said this was over concerns that his designs would be overshadowed by the singer.
“I love her music and that Bad Romance song is stuck in my head all the time, but we don’t necessarily have to accept everyone just because they are famous,” he said.
“‘My work is about a lifestyle. It’s not fast-food fashion. It’s not about trends, it’s about classic, it’s about the body, it’s about beauty. Maybe that gets lost in the picture with certain celebrities.”
Now after the Antonio Berardi debate, we’re not sure we should believe everything we read so we’ll be trying to get hold of Mark’s people to get the full story. Keep reading for the latest updates.
She may be off sunning herself on the beaches of Thailand at the moment, but when she’s back at home Kate Moss shows us why she’s been in such demand for all these years.
The issue, which hits the shelves in February looks at the sexiest icons of all times and judging by Kate’s pose on the front cover we can see why this may wing itself under your other half’s jacket.
All photos were also shot by renowned photographer David Bailey.
It seems as though our rage against size zero models is set to continue today, with news that Lara Stone still gets criticised for being a bigger model.
The size 8 stunner who used to refer to herself as “the fat one,” before accepting her size, told Vogue: “People still tell me I’m fat, but when I look in the mirror, that’s not what I see.”
Lara may be a healthy cut above the rest of the size zero models and with a range of successful modelling campaigns under her belt including her latest venture with Louis Vuitton, you’d think the industry would be proud to have such an inspiration. However the skinny tunnel vision of stylists and designers still haunt her.
She told Vogue: “It’s depressing when the clothes don’t fit and you are always the odd one out…I was on a shoot last week and the stylist took out this tight corset dress and said, ‘Here, put it on,’ and I was like, ‘Who are you kidding?’ There was no way, so that was very rude of her. It’s like, come on, she’s a woman; whether you’re buying jeans at the mall, or wearing couture, you know what it’s like for clothes not to fit. It’s not an easy kind of rejection, because it’s very personal. It’s you, you’re body. You take it personally.”
