Kate Moss has become the subject of a new photographic exhibition.
Shots of the 37-year-old supermodel feature in a showcase of pictures taken by some of the world’s most famous photographers – including Mary McCartney, the late Corinne Day and Paolo Roversi – currently on display at Paris’ Galerie de L’Instant.
However, it is not just the aesthetic beauty of Kate which is captured in the photos, but also her “intelligence”.
A spokesperson for the gallery said: “Kate is one of the most photographed people in the world, and yet she continues to fascinate and inspire. The exhibition is a homage, not only to Kate’s beauty but also her intelligence.”
Among the highlights are a nude picture – taken by Corinne Day – of Kate wearing nothing but a soldier’s tin hat, as well as the model backstage at a Chloe show in 1995.
The spokesperson added: “Despite a lack of interviews and a few scandals, Kate Moss’ career has been a success and has set an example. She has inspired the biggest photographers of every generation as well as contemporary artists including Lucian Freud, Marc Quinn, Sam Taylor Wood.
“It is therefore only fair that we dedicate an exhibition to her, as her work with photographers has been so rich and varied.”
‘Kate Moss by the Biggest Photographers’ – which runs from now until September 14 – was originally scheduled to open in November 2008, but it kept getting put back due to lack of funding.

Lara Stone has been named as the new face and body of Calvin Klein Underwear.
The supermodel – who already fronts campaigns for Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Collection and ck Calvin Klein – will star in the Naked Glamour advertising campaign later this year.
Helen McCluskey, chief operating officer of The Warnaco Group Inc. which owns the Calvin Klein Underwear and Jeans businesses, described the ad images as “traditional Calvin Klein, black-and-white, with incredible eye contact.it’s about lifestyle, it’s sexy, and images are up close with cleavage”.
CEO Joe Gromek added to WWD: “It’s a very compelling campaign.”
Although actress Zoe Saldana presently appears in the ads for the Envy campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear, a spokesperson for the company insists Lara is not replacing Zoe as the face of the brand.
Lara joins a host of celebrities – including Pixie Geldof, Ruby Aldridge, Sky Ferreira, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Dellal and Fei Fei Sun – who currently feature in a global advertising campaign shot by Steven Meisel for ck one.
The model – whose US size four figure is deemed ‘curvy’ by catwalk standards – has previously said she thinks her womanly figure has helped her become a success.
She said: “I’m different because I am fat. It would be nice if I wasn’t the only person with t*ts and an a**e.
“If I could have the discipline to be super-skinny I would be. I think of dieting, then I eat pizza. I’m a woman, and every woman wants to be thinner – unfortunately.”

Kate Moss is organising a pre-wedding meal for her and her fiance Jamie Hince’s families.
The supermodel – who will tie the knot with The Kills guitarist in Oxfordshire, South East England, on July 2 – has lined up celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s latest London restaurant Dinner as the venue for their families to get to know each other better before the big day.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She and Jamie don’t want anything to go wrong on the day and they thought this would help break the ice and make everyone a lot more easygoing.”
The guest list for the meal includes Kate’s ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, her mother Linda and father Peter – who divorced when Kate was still at school – as well as Jamie’s dad William, mum Carole and older sister Sarah.
And the 37-year-old catwalk star – who was originally going to fly her guests to Paris for a meal at the Ritz, but had to change her plans after some guests couldn’t make it – is hoping there is no “awkwardness” between her and 42-year-old Jamie’s families.
The insider added: “Kate wants it to be light-hearted and not a ‘Meet The Fockers’-style grilling from either side.
“It’s the bringing together of two families so it’s a big deal for her. Kate wants them to all get merry, eat fantastic food and just relax with each other before the wedding day and the party. She doesn’t want any awkwardness on the day.”

It’s good news for Gisele Bundchen who has been named the world’s top earning model for the seventh year.
The Brazilian beauty has topped the list, compiled by Forbes.com, since 2004, but this year saw her income increase by a huge $20 million to earn $45million over one year.
Proof of Gisele’s star status enhancing brands is easy to find, as after becoming the face of hair care brand Pantene in March 2010, the company’s sales went up by 40% per cent in Latin America.
Despite earning so much the simple things in life please the supermodel, and she likes nothing more than to clean the house she shares with husband Tom Brady, their 16-month-old son Benjamin and her three-year-old stepson Jack.
Gisele said: “I love it. Cleaning the house is actually very therapeutic for me. Becoming a parent has given me a whole new perspective on life. I can’t put into words how much I love it.”
In second place in the poll is German model Heidi Klum, who earned $20 million through her recent partnership with website Amazon.com and launching her own clothing line with sportswear brand New Balance.
Third place went to British model Kate Moss, who made $13.5 million from deals including her own bag collection with brand Longchamp and a campaign for Christian Dior.

Kate Moss’ wedding to Jamie Hince will be like a “small festival”.
The supermodel – who is set to marry The Kills rocker in a ceremony in Oxfordshire, South East England, on July 2 – is planning for her nuptials to last for days and has spared “no expense” in preparing for the ceremony and celebrations.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kate wants it to be a party to remember and like a small festival.
“She doesn’t want her guests to leave for days so she’s making sure there I plenty of food and entertainment. It’s a no-expense spared do – thought most of her budget will probably go on alcohol.”
However, the 37-year-old catwalk beauty has had to change some of her plans as the original church in Budford where she wanted to get wed is not big enough to fit in all of her guests.
Three bands are to play at the reception to be held at her Oxfordshire home, while additional music will be provided by DJ Kevin O’Leary.
Kate’s hen party is expected to be held next month at the Isle of Wight Festival, which is being headlined by the Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.

Rankin would consider breaking his no-weddings rule for Kate Moss.
While the fashion photographer has always refused to act as official photographer at weddings because he finds the pressure too great, he would step in if close pal Kate Moss – who will marry Jamie Hince in July – asked him to photograph her nuptials.
He said: “You don’t say no to Kate but she wouldn’t ask me – she’ll probably get Mario [Testino]. If she did ask though, I’d tell her to get back up as well as me. I’d be so nervous , and not just because it’s her – for anyone it’s a really special day. There’s too much pressure on it and so much stress seems to surround weddings. I always say no to photographing family weddings – I’ll always set up a studio on the day but I won’t take pictures all day. You don’t want to mess it up.”
If Rankin – who along with photographing Kate has worked with Sienna Miller, Heidi Klum and Vivienne Westwood – does decide to take pictures of Kate’s wedding he should find it easy as he revealed he learned his craft by taking pictures of family and friends.
He told vogue.co.uk “I was studying accountancy at Brighton University and I was surrounded by lots of art students when I thought I should be doing something more expressive. I was given a camera for my 21st birthday and just started taking pictures of my girlfriend and of my friends. Then I quit uni and started redoing my A-levels again. It was great.”

Cindy Crawford is unhappy that today’s models are so much skinnier than her contemporaries.
The 45-year-old star – who was one of the original supermodels alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington – thinks being a model was much easier in her day and admitted she is happy she is not trying to compete with today’s stars.
She said: “I just saw the CoverGirl commercial with Taylor Swift and I thought, ‘Wow, it is so hard for models to get a job these days.’
“You have to sing and act, too. There doesn’t seem to be as much work specifically just for models.
“And I also think when I was modelling, size 6 (UK size 10) was a normal size and now it’s like 2 (UK size 6) or 0 (UK size 4).”
While Cindy admitted there are times when she wishes she looked the same as she did at the height of her modelling career, she says having kids Presley, 11, and Kaia, nine, with her husband Rande Gerber is much more important.
She explained to Parade magazine: “I think what really shows on your face – besides good hair colour – is if you’re happy in your life. If you’re doing work that you enjoy and that is rewarding, then as my mom always said, ‘You’d rather have smile lines than frown lines.’
“I don’t look the same as I did 20 years ago, nor should I. Sometimes I get that little pang, like ‘Oh, bummer, I wish I did’. But at the same time, I see my children and I see them growing up and I look at my husband and the marriage that we’ve worked on and have together, and if all that is good and working, it’s a lot easier to be kind to your little fine lines or where gravity’s gotten the better of you.”

Agyness Deyn has taken up boxing during her training for the London Marathon.
The British supermodel – who is taking part in the charity run with designer Henry Holland on Sunday says she has been working with a coach in the US to help prepare for challenge.
She told Britain’s The Times newspaper: “A friend suggested I would be good at boxing because of my long limbs, so I joined his gym in downtown New York. My coach has such a good name – Action Jackson.
“I didn’t think about what would happen if I got injured – you have to live your life.”
The 28-year-old beauty says she hopes to complete the 26.2-mile race by trying to forget about how long it is and is taking inspiration from the Tom Hanks movie ‘Forrest Gump’, in which he runs for days at a time.
She said: “My tactic for getting through the 26 miles is to go steady and stop thinking about how far I have to go. Like Forrest Gump, I just keep running.”
Agyness also keeps in good shape by watching what she eats but doesn’t deny herself treats.
She explained: “I try to be aware of what food I put in my body, and I eat lots of green veg and juices. That doesn’t mean I’ll deny myself a burger and chips, but it might mean I will make it myself, so I know what’s in it.”

Claudia Schiffer says “nothing” could persuade her to walk the catwalk again.
The German supermodel – who gave birth to her third child last year – says she has no interest in strutting her stuff up and down runways as she doesn’t like all eyes to be on her.
When asked what would get her on the catwalk again she replied: “Nothing, definitely. Nobody believes me but I’m very shy – much better in small groups of people than on a stage with everybody looking at me. I understood that I had to do it when I was modelling but now, since I don’t have to do it, I’d rather not.
“Designers are very clever at trying to persuade me to do it each season and it’s flattering that they do, but nothing would change my mind.”
Instead, the 40-year-old beauty wants to concentrate on launching her debut cashmere collection with German knitwear brand Iris von Arnim (IvA).
She said: “I’d much rather be working on this new project anyway.”
“I want to meet all the press and buyers personally – it’s that kind of project.”
It was announced in November Claudia will help design the range, which will represent her personal ethos and style.
She said: “I have been looking for the right partnership for a very long time and I feel very lucky to have found it with IvA. We have the same inherent values and I was delighted to find a company that was able to interpret my vision.”

Fashion News, London fashion week, Models

By Emily Borrett.
All the fashion week fun comes to an abrupt stop as the sobering news of the alleged rape of a model during London’s stint broke today.
The accused is the husband of 23-year old supermodel Heidi Mount (pictured left), Shawn Mount, New York hair stylist, who allegedly carried out a sexual attack upon a 24-year old female in a London hotel last week after attending a LFW after-party with her.
Wife Heidi, who has modelled for the likes of Chanel and Alexander McQueen, is said to have been working in Milan at the time of the alleged attack. Shawn Mount has not yet been convicted of anything has flown out to join his wife working at Milan Fashion Week.
Yesterday the Metropolitan police released a statement: “We received a complaint of a serious sexual assault at 1.30am on September 20 at a central London hotel. The 24-year-old victim was referred to the Haven Centre (a victim support centre). A 30-year-old man was arrested on September 21 on suspicion of rape and bailed to return to a London police station in November. He has not been charged and we are still investigating.”
Our thoughts go out to all of those involved in the incident.

Hippy 70s chic and boho were the order of the day for Anna Sui.
Sui’s designs have got to be one of my favourite collections of NYFW. Models marched down the catwalk channelling Woodstock and flower power.
Denim playsuits (I’m holding on to mine from this season) teamed with 70′s style floral crochet cardigan knits and hats filled the catwalk.
And it didn’t end there with rouched suede boots and floaty chiffon and cotton “maxi” dresses, in a patchwork of florals, paisleys and Liberty prints completing Sui’s collection.
I can’t wait till I can get myself some of the highstreet copies.
View the gallery below and let us know what you think of the designs.

Celebs are no stranger to crafts. There was the knitting craze a while back and many have appeared on celebrity cooking episodes including Come Dine With Me, Hell’s Kitchen and of course celebrity Masterchef. However, although cooking has become a trend we would never have expected Kate Moss to dip her talents into this sector. How wrong we were.
According to The Sun, the model, designer and wild child has decided to get all aunty Mabel on us and has starting making jam.
And it’s all organic too with the supermodel making this sweet spread from damsons picked from her country estate in the Cotswolds.
In fact she so serious and so confident that her jam is a sticking point that she’s invested in expensive equipment and she’s also approached friend Sir Philip Green about getting her jars on Topshop’s shelves. We hope it’s not going to be too close to the clothing.
