Keira Knightley was the “worst bridesmaid in the world” at her brother’s wedding.
The British actress took on the role at her 32-year-old sibling Caleb’s wedding to Kerry Nixon in Scotland last month, and although she is usually very careful when she is wearing great clothes, Keira clumsily spilt food on her bridesmaid’s dress and accidentally ripped it.
She said: “I don’t normally spill things down myself but every single drink went down that dress.
“Then they had a curry buffet at this wedding and the curry went all the way down the dress as well, and then I went to the toilet and I got it stuck in the door and it ripped it all the way down the back.
“So I was the worst bridesmaid in the entire world.”
Despite her numerous wardrobe malfunctions, the 26-year-old screen beauty had a “great” day and loved wearing the plum coloured dress – although she is doubtful she will be asked to perform the role again.
Speaking on TV show ‘Live! With Regis and Kelly’, Keira – who took her new boyfriend, Klaxons star James Righton, to the nuptials – said: “I’m never going to be asked again. It was a great dress and I had a great night.”

Kate Moss is organising a pre-wedding meal for her and her fiance Jamie Hince’s families.
The supermodel – who will tie the knot with The Kills guitarist in Oxfordshire, South East England, on July 2 – has lined up celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s latest London restaurant Dinner as the venue for their families to get to know each other better before the big day.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She and Jamie don’t want anything to go wrong on the day and they thought this would help break the ice and make everyone a lot more easygoing.”
The guest list for the meal includes Kate’s ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, her mother Linda and father Peter – who divorced when Kate was still at school – as well as Jamie’s dad William, mum Carole and older sister Sarah.
And the 37-year-old catwalk star – who was originally going to fly her guests to Paris for a meal at the Ritz, but had to change her plans after some guests couldn’t make it – is hoping there is no “awkwardness” between her and 42-year-old Jamie’s families.
The insider added: “Kate wants it to be light-hearted and not a ‘Meet The Fockers’-style grilling from either side.
“It’s the bringing together of two families so it’s a big deal for her. Kate wants them to all get merry, eat fantastic food and just relax with each other before the wedding day and the party. She doesn’t want any awkwardness on the day.”

Thandie Newton has a “low maintenance” beauty routine.
The stunning actress has minimal time to get ready in the mornings because she takes her two daughters Ripley, 10 and Nico, six, to school every day so Thandie insists the few products she does use are effective.
She said: “If you’re low-maintenance, it’s really important that the stuff you do use really works. It’s all about multi-tasking. The kids have to be at school by 8.30 every day and I don’t want to look like I’ve just got out of bed so I wash my face and I put on Olay’s Total Effects Touch of Foundation.”
Although Thandie is famed for her gorgeous complexion, she admitted her skin dries out very easily so she has used moisturiser every day for as long as she can remember.
She said: “There’s a truth in that old ‘black don’t crack’ thing. But dark skin like mine gets very dry – you get these ashy deposits on your legs, so I’ve used moisturiser since the day I could walk.”
Thandie also has a laid back approach to food and revealed she doesn’t waste her time on fad diets.
She told Britain’s InStyle magazine: “If I go away for Christmas and eat too much, I don’t get stressed about it. If I need to lose weight, I eat less pasta.”

Victoria Beckham scouted the model for her new sunglasses and jeans range at a beach party.
The fashion designer was so impressed with 25-year-old actress Alice Greczyn when she spotted her lounging on the deck of a friend’s beach house in Malibu, California, that she immediately approached her and instructed soccer player husband David to take a photograph of her.
Alice explained: “Victoria asked me if I modelled, which I used to do before I started acting. I was immediately struck by her smile. You don’t often see her smiling in pictures but it’s really kind.
“She then called David over and directed him as he took my picture. Amazingly I wasn’t nervous. She’s lovely and he was such a gentleman although it tickled me that David Beckham was taking my picture.”
Victoria revealed she was instantly struck by Alice, as she perfectly embodies the spirit of her summer 2011 collection.
She explained: “I’m always on the lookout for inspiring girls, and I believe in fate, so meeting Alice was meant to be. She embodies the spirit of my denim, is naturally beautiful and a perfect fit for the collection. I loved finding Alice – a young fresh talent.”
In fact, Victoria was so impressed with Alice that she even named a pair of jeans after her.
The model added to Britain’s Grazia magazine: “It’s so flattering. But it reminds me how funny living in Los Angeles can be – you go to a friend’s barbeque and you leave the face of Victoria Beckham’s look book.”

Sarah Burton didn’t even tell her mother she was designing Princess Catherine’s wedding dress.
The British designer – who is the creative head of Alexander McQueen – was sworn to secrecy when it came to creating the gown the brunette beauty wore to wed Prince William on April 29 and couldn’t even say anything to her family.
Sarah said: “Even my mother called me and asked me, ‘You would tell me, wouldn’t you?’ ”
Catherine – who is now known as the Duchess of Cambridge – was so keen to keep the designer a secret even the team who were working on the dress didn’t know who it was for.
Despite having to stay quiet, Sarah – who took over at the label last year following the suicide of Alexander McQueen – has said making the dress was a “lovely” experience.
She said: “It couldn’t have been more lovely. It was a collaboration. It was made for her and has a lot of her personality in it.”
Sarah added the Middleton family – including sister Pippa Middleton, who she also dressed – were “really nice and down to earth”.
However, her most memorable time was when she had to hide herself prior to going into the Goring Hotel in London the night before the wedding at London’s Westminster Abbey, and she confesses the group shared a lot of laughs about it.
Sarah said: “The most fun I had was trying to hide. We laughed a lot about that.”

Kelly Brook has been left “devastated” after suffering a miscarriage.
The 31-year-old model-and-actress – who was almost five months pregnant with her and Thom Evans’ first child – was rushed to hospital late last week but doctors were unable to save the baby girl.
Her spokesperson said: “I can confirm that Kelly and Thom have very sadly lost their baby.
“They request that everyone please respects their privacy at this very painful time. There will be no further comment.”
Kelly is currently at home with Thom and her mother Sandra after asking friends to give her time and space to grieve.
One pal told the MailOnline website: “Kelly is understandably devastated, she’s at home and she’s being looked after by Thom and her mum Sandra.
“There’s nothing you can say to anyone at a time like this – she just needs to be allowed some time alone to grieve.”
The ‘Piranha 3D’ star – who fell pregnant shortly after she started dating Thom – is said to be “inconsolable” over her loss.
A source told The Sun: “Kelly is absolutely devastated.
“The baby wasn’t planned but she was thrilled and it would have been the best loved little girl in all the world.
“She has always wanted children and a family and although she hasn’t been with Thom long they were so excited about becoming parents.
“Now all those dreams are shattered and poor Kelly is inconsolable. Thom is being a tower of strength to her but he’s grieving too.”

Tommy Hilfiger would love to dress Princess Catherine.
The US designer is famed for his preppy all American look yet he believes Catherine – who wore a stunning Alexander McQueen gown when she married Prince William in a lavish ceremony at London’s Westminster Abbey last month – has the perfect style credentials to represent the brand.
He said: “Catherine has a very classic yet modern style. I would love to dress her and I think she already has the makings of the perfect preppy!”
However, the Duchess of Cambridge is not the only famous female Tommy admires, the 60-year-old designer cited Gwyneth Paltrow as someone who represents the preppy look calling her “effortlessly elegant”.
He told vogue.co.uk: “Gwyneth Paltrow instantly springs to mind. She is effortlessly elegant and has a strong sense of what works for her. She takes a classic piece, a white Oxford shirt for instance, and wears it in a modern way; a slight roll of the sleeve and pop at the collar is very charming and very preppy.”

Eva Mendes says posing in her underwear gives her the motivation to stay slim.
The stunning actress often has to strip off for sexy photo shoots so knows her body must be in tip-top shape, meaning she does her best to stay away from junk food.
She said: “My job requires me to do a lot of underwear and bikini shoots. That’s what encourages me to put the chocolate-chip cookies down.”
Although she is very conscious of eating healthily and doing lots of exercise now, the 37-year-old beauty says it hasn’t always been that way.
She told Britain’s InStyle magazine: “I never cared about exercise or what I was eating until I got into my 20s and then I started to really get into it. I just wasn’t feeling good, so I started eating well, working out and going from drinking no water – ever – to up to three litres a day. All the stuff that I didn’t do as a kid. Ever since, I’ve really believed in the beauty philosophy of starting from within and it kinda changed my life.”

Jessie J thinks she “oozes” Britishness.
The ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ hitmaker – who has written songs for US superstars including Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys – believes she is “representing” the UK and loves her home country and its attitude.
She said: “I definitely like to think I’m repping for the UK.
“I think I ooze British. I’m very sarcastic and I like to take the mickey out of myself. And I definitely do that very British thing of, take things with a pinch of salt, stiff upper lip, you know what I mean?
“Nothing comes easy but we like it that way.”
The 23-year-old singer has previously been open about her bisexuality, and thinks it is a sign of her generation about the easy-going nature of sexuality.
She adds to Stella magazine: “I’ve been with guys and I’ve been with girls. And I kind of think it’s about the person not the genitals.
“A lot of people are like, ‘Oh she doesn’t know what she is.’ But I definitely think my generation is more easygoing about it.
“I mean, I think it’s harder for boys to be bisexual. I think if a girl’s bi there’s more acceptance because guys like it.”

Kate Moss’ wedding to Jamie Hince will be like a “small festival”.
The supermodel – who is set to marry The Kills rocker in a ceremony in Oxfordshire, South East England, on July 2 – is planning for her nuptials to last for days and has spared “no expense” in preparing for the ceremony and celebrations.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kate wants it to be a party to remember and like a small festival.
“She doesn’t want her guests to leave for days so she’s making sure there I plenty of food and entertainment. It’s a no-expense spared do – thought most of her budget will probably go on alcohol.”
However, the 37-year-old catwalk beauty has had to change some of her plans as the original church in Budford where she wanted to get wed is not big enough to fit in all of her guests.
Three bands are to play at the reception to be held at her Oxfordshire home, while additional music will be provided by DJ Kevin O’Leary.
Kate’s hen party is expected to be held next month at the Isle of Wight Festival, which is being headlined by the Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.

Daisy Lowe’s skin suffers when she is stressed.
The British model has learned to look after herself better in order to prevent breakouts, which she admits used to be frequent.
She said: “Whenever I get stressed I end up spotty.
“I try to have regular reflexology and get a good night’s sleep.
“I now get lymphatic drainage massages at my gym and they cleared my skin up in about three weeks.”
Daisy also revealed she has learned to accept her flaws and stop envying the bodies of other people so much.
She said: “When I was modelling, I’d often think, ‘Why can’t I be more like so-and-so?’ But I realise you have to be nice to yourself.
“There’s always something you don’t like, so concentrate on what you love.”
The brunette beauty takes care of her appearance, but hates some aspects of grooming, particularly removing her body hair.
She added to Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “I enjoy my legs being smooth but I get annoyed when I have to constantly shave my armpits.
“Bikini waxing is so unfair, but if you want to wear a bikini, you have no choice. I think men should at least do a little clipping in return.”

The ‘Scream 4′ actress is dating boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko and she admits the 6ft 7in sportsman is often telling her what to wear so she complements her 5ft 1in frame.
She said: “He does a really good job at picking his outfits, but now he also critiques my outfits. He’s like, ‘Baby, that clutch you’re so small. You need a smaller one. It’s too big.’ I’m like, ‘Who gave you the idea…fine!’”
Now it would be nice to have a boyfriend who helps you decide what to wear instead of just saying you ‘look pretty’ while actually not looking at you…
Hayden has also previously confessed that she loves to wander around her house in the nude and doesn’t mind if her roommate sees her naked.
She said: “She sees me buck-naked all the time. She walks in and I’m like, ‘Look, I’m naked! Naked girl!’ “

Even though she’s co-created her own clothing line, House of Dereon, with her mother, Beyonce Knowles has admitted she loves clothes by British designer Gareth Pugh because they make her waist look “teeny tiny.”
Now this sounds like something we have to look more into as we wouldn’t mind getting a smaller waist – or we could just have someone photoshop it like Grazia apparently did to Kate Middleton on their royal wedding issue…
Speaking to more! magazine Beyonce said: “I love Gareth Pugh, he’s amazing. His work is so different. The dramatic shoulder pads make your waist look teeny tiny and it’s very structured and graphic and modern. I think the contrast of his garments and my personality is really cool. And I get to dress up and be whatever I want.”

Halle Berry is to receive the Celebrity Fragrance of the Year prize at this year’s FiFi Awards.
The Oscar-winning actress – who has created three highly successful perfumes, Halle by Halle Berry, Pure Orchid and Reveal – will be honoured at the New York event on May 25 in recognition of her Reveal scent.
She said in a statement: “For years I have created my own personal scents by mixing and layering fragrances, trying to come up with something unique and different. It’s a wonderful form of self-expression and I am thrilled to share these fragrances with consumers worldwide.”
The US Fragrance Foundation chooses one celebrity each year that has especially contributed to attracting shoppers to the industry, with past winners including Paris Hilton and Usher.
Black Eyed Peas star Fergie is being presented with the New Fragrance Celebrity of the Year award for Outspoken, while legendary designer Jean Paul Gaultier will also be in attendance to receive his Hall of Fame award.

Kate Bosworth will follow in the footsteps of Zooey Deschanel and Leona Lewis as the new face of Cotton Inc.
The actress will star in the third Fabric of My Life campaign designed to increase awareness of the role of cotton in items ranging from everyday wear such as jeans to high end fashion and is also set to sing the commercial’s theme song.
Ric Hendee, senior vice president of consumer marketing for Cotton Inc., said: “In year three we sought out someone else who had a cinema background and we put the music part behind and focused on more associations with nice clothes and.frankly the editorial side of fashion. We were looking for people from the movies who were really seen as young, female fashion leaders and Kate came to the forefront quite quickly with that kind of perspective.
“She was in fact anxious [to sing] and she said this commercial will give her a chance to make her singing debut,”
The $25 million year-long campaign will include a TV commercial showing Kate wearing designs which feature cotton by Prada, Rodarte and Nina Ricci. Although she is signed up for a full year, the company also hopes to add more people during the campaign.
Website fabricofourlives.com will feature information about the clothes, with Ric saying: “The idea is you don’t have to spend designer prices to find beautiful things. You will be able to click on any one item and be directed to manufacturers’ and retailers’ Web sites if you want to buy it. It’s a nice way to show cotton is [available] in all different price points.”
