The Venice Film Festival has kicked off for another year, and Hollywood’s A-listers are already strutting their glam stuff on and off the red carpet.
Jessica Alba was one of the first celebrities to be spotted at the 67th event turning up to her hotel in a cute white ruffled skirt. She later changed into a stunning strapless mini dress complete with a long train, which she teamed up with cage heels for the Machete premier.
Natalie Portman also wowed when she turned up in a plain, yet glam strapless blue frock for the photocall of Black Swan before taking her look one step further in a gorgeous red dress for the premier, while Isabella Ragonese opted for a long ballgown monochrome strapless frock for the event.
And Naomi Campbell also made an appearance turning up in a black puff style black mini-frock and cage heels for a dinner held by Quentin Tarrantino.

Last night London played host to two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise, who stepped onto the red carpet for the premier of Knight and Day.
Cam, as usual, looked stunning in a silver luxe v-neck jumper dress, which she teamed up with black peep toe shoes.
She was joined on the red carpet by Camilla Kerslake, who opted for a smart white playsuit, which she accessorised with gladiator heels and a black belt. Some stars went for a more elegant look, namely X-Factor contestant Stacy Solomon who opted for a sophisticated two tone taffeta ball gown frock complete with a sash, while Edith Bowman opted for a black shift dress and blazer for her appearance.
However, there’s always one star who doesn’t quite get it right and this time we’re sorry to say the award for worst dressed goes to singer Anastacia, who went for a brassy Pat Butcher style leopard print coat for her red carpet entrance. We’re sorry Anastacia but The Vic is in Woolford, not the West End.

It was the night that Twilight fans had been waiting for and many camped out a week in advance to see Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and co, grace the red carpet for the premier of Twilight Eclipse, which was held at the Nokia Plaza in LA.
And we don’t think they were disappointed. Kristen Stewart graced the red carpet in a white Elie Saab asymmetric blackless number and Christian Louboutin shoes. However, she changed these half way through as they were hurting her feet. Dakota Fanning also went for an Elie Saab beige feathered frock, which she teamed up with beige shoes while Ashley Greene opted for a gorgeous a light-blue column dress by Alexis Mabille Couture.
And the boys didn’t look to bad either. Robert Pattinson looked every inch the Hollywood star as he walked the red carpet in a maroon Gucci suit, which, let’s face it, only he could get away with while Taylor Lautner opted for a sleek grey tailored number for his appearance.
Take a look at the gallery below for all the Twilight Eclipse premier pictures.

While we were crowding round the BBQs, eating burgers and cheering on England, the US stars had more demure events to be thinking about.
This weekend saw the 61st annual Tony Awards, which celebrate the best in American theatre and although they are not as well known as perhaps the Oscars or Baftas, A-class celebrities still strutted their fashion stuff on the red carpet.
Catherine Zeta-Jones accepted her best actress in a musical award for her Broadway debut in the musical A Little Night Music, in a baby blue strapless organza gown complete with beading, while Lucy Liu looked went for cute and girly in a pink frilled Marchesa frock.
Scarlett Johansson went for celeb favourite Elie Saab opting for a black beaded gown, which she showed off when she went to pick up her award for Best Performance in a Play by a Featured actress while Paula Abdul opted for frills and fishtail in a Tony Ward Couture frock.
However, not everyone went for beaded and bare skin. Naomi Watts took a risk in a nude suit style fock with long sleeves by RM by Roland Mouret gown that kept bare skin at a minimum while Cate Blanchett took an even bigger one in a silver Armani Prive suit.
Thankfully we think the risk paid off.
We also think a special fashion mention goes out to Helen Mirren who, like Scarlett, opted for a black frock to wow on the night, and Glee star Lea Michele who shone in sunshine yellow.
Tell us who your best dressed of the night was by leaving your comments below.

It was another star studded night (honestly we don’t know celebs do it) as A-listers hit London’s Berkeley Square Gardens for the Glamour Women of The Year awards.
Abigail Clancy made the most of her footie boyfriend’s absence, turning up to the event in a stunning blue jumpsuit with piping detail around the plunging neckline. She completed the look with a skinny belt. Cheryl Cole also wowed in a soft pink beaded short dress complete with a little train while Radio Personality of the Year – Fearne Cotton – went for big and billowing with a red chiffon short dress.
She was joined in this trend by pregnant Rachel Stevens and Lily Allen who channelled this look with a black dress complete with big sleeves.
UK TV Actress of the Year, Billie Piper, kept it simple in a gorgeous black long dress and Florence Welch, who won band of the year, went for a striking LBD.
Nicole Richie who was Entrepreneur of the Year also wins our best dressed award with her nude long fistail frock.
See our gallery for the best dressed of the night.

It was a night of designer fashion fun as A-listers turned out in their dozens to honour top designers at the CFDA Fashion Awards held at the held at the Alice Tulley hall in the Lincoln Centre.
Sarah Jessica Parker stole the show in a patterned ball gown from Alexander McQueen‘s pre-autumn 2010 collection before honouring her late friend in a moving tribute. The designer’s memory was also kept alive throughout the ceremony with a string of models taking to the runway and showcasing his final collection.
The SATC actress was also joined in the patterned look by Jessica Biel who went for a bright frock by Diane Von Furstenberg and Rachel Weisz, who presented Jason Wu with the Swarovski award for his womenswear collection, also continued this trend in a black and blue knee length frock complete with shoulder detailing.
However, it wasn’t just the stars who opted for this look. Vogue Editor, and celebrity in her own right, Anna Wintour channelled this look with her floral white shift dress.
Gwyneth Paltrow went for a black long slinky dress by Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Michael Kors. And model Iman who was presented with the Fashion Icon accolade from Isabella Rosselini, also followed the black trend in an extravagant fishtail frock.
However Dakota Fanning went the opposite way opting instead for a short white frock by Marchesa. She was followed by Alexa Chung who went for a long beige chiffon gown complete with bow detailing, by Chanel.

Let’s face it, we all wish we could look like the stars on a night out and wanted their expensive outfits.
However, with the credit crunch still looming and many of us not being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds for a TV appearance the chances of wearing Chanel, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen to an event are very rare. Add to that the fact that many designers also lend these outfits to A-listers free and it’s almost impossible.
After seeing some of the gorgeous clothes the stars wore to the TV Baftas last night we decided to have a scout around the highstreet and find some similar alternatives at much more affordable prices. Take a look at our gallery and find out where you can find similar styles to those worn my Tamzin Outhwaite, Tina O’Brien, Michelle Keegan, Sinead Keenan and Gail Porter.

We’ve been a little bit disappointed with this year’s events. Not because of the lack of elegance or glam but because nearly all the celebrities that attend them look so damn nice and this means we rarely get a chance to have a little jibe at the “worst dressed”.
Last night’s TV Baftas also followed this trend with many celebs looking stunning on the red carpet. However, it was Helena Bonham-Carter who stood out for all the wrong reasons.
The actress who we usually admire for her kooky and creative clothing went that step too far teaming up a red taffeta dress with a pirate hat and netted headpiece, which screamed tack. This might not have been so bad had Helena not chosen to wear her sunnies which really made the outfit a complete mismatch.
Helena we love your normal kooky style but this time you just went that little bit too far.

Ok so we’ve been going on about white being a huge trend on the red carpet this year and we’ve seen it everywhere from the Oscars to the Baftas to various premiers in Cannes.
However, just as we thought it was dying out it made a huge appearance on the red carpet at last night’s TV Baftas. Amanda Holden went for this trend but made it stand out with a silver bodice while Kara Tointon and Michelle Keegan went for straight dresses with asymmetric shoulder detailing.
Eastender’s star Lacey Turner also channelled this trend in a white lace frock while ex Corrie star Tina O’Brien and Romola Garai both opted for short white frocks.
However, we’re pleased to say that unlike other events there wasn’t anything too bridal about these dresses. Instead they matched the summer weather perfectly.

Last night London was filled with a range of UK TV stars who donned their best frocks and hit the London Palladium for the TV Baftas, which celebrate British soaps and series.
And as you can imagine there were some amazing frocks. Fresh from the Britian’s Got Talent final on Saturday Amanda Holden stepped out in a gorgeous silver and white asymmetric dress complete with a corsage strap and daring split, while Sophie Ellis-Bextor went for a vintage look teaming up a green shift dress with a lace overlay.
Ex Eastenders star Kara Tointon also stole the show in a white long asymmetric dress, which was very similar to the one worn by Corrie star Michelle Keegan.
Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page and Silent Witness actress Emilia Fox however went for a black, Joanna opting for a long cowel neck frock while Emilia for a v-neck slightly boho style.
We’ve put together a gallery of our best dressed of the night but keep reading because we’ll be bringing you alot more TV Bafta fashion.

It was another night of celebrity style as A-listers stepped out to mark the closing of Marina Abramovic’s ‘The Artist is Present’ show at MOMA in New York.
But it was Courtney Love who really stole the fashion limelight at the event hosted by Givenchy. The troubled star turned up looking young and glamorous in a sheer dress by the designer.
Other noted celebrities included Christina Ricci and Liv Tyler who channelled the designer’s latest collection, while Maricarla Boscono took the fashion trend to the next level turning up in a sheer bra top. Bjork also lit up the evening in a gold shiny dress, which wouldn’t have looked out of place on Lady Gaga, while Joan Smalls carried on the sheer look with a white, very seethrough frock.
See our gallery for all the celebrity fashion of the night.

Day 9 of the Cannes Film Festival saw A-listers dressing up in the name of charity for the AmfArRs Cinema Against AIDS benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap.
And it was a night of sophisticated designer dresses. Diane Kruger, Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Dunst went for glam in Chanel dresses while Michelle Williams went for short and daring in a sequined dress by Sonia Rykiel.
Fresh off her catwalk debut Mischa Barton went for Marchesa while Jennifer Lopez unsurprisingly opted for a pink princess frock by Roberto Cavalli.
Paris Hilton also turned up in a white bridal inspired number. However our best dressed starlets of the night have to be Kate Beckinsale, who looked amazing in a silver gown by Armani Prive and Emily Blunt who wowed us in a simple red dress.

We’ve been covering the Cannes Film Festival all week and one thing we’ve noticed is that it’s the usual A-listers at each event. So we’ve decided to mix it up a bit and look at some of the trend that have been flowing around at all the premiers and parties. And what better way to start than with the celebrity style du jour white.
Now we’re not just talking about the bridal look here although Eva Longoria and Fan Bing Bing have sported this trend at one time during the event, we’re talking about the colour in general.
Eva Hertzigova and Lindsay Lohan decided to wear this colour at the Chopard party as did Nicky Hilton and Lady Victoria Hervey and yesterday’s events were no different with Naomi Campbell and Myleene Klass opting for this shade at the De Grisogono Dinner Party and Doutzen Kroes at the Of Gods and Men premier.

Cannes may still be going but last night France was hit by another celebrity fuelled event. This time it was the World Music awards 2010 that took place in Mote Carlo.
Paris and Nicky Hilton made their way from the Film Festival to the music event dressed in pink and white dresses respectively while Jennifer Lopez wowed in an animal print frock and today made headlines as a result of her diva like demands.
Rumour has it the diva who also performed at the awards, demanded a helicopter and diamond encrusted headphones amongst other hugely ridiculous things.
Other more down to earth stars that made an appearance included Hayden Panettiere in a short slinky dress and Michelle Rodriguez who went for a LBD for her red carpet appearance.

We may be well into the Cannes Film Festival 2010 but it hasn’t stopped celebrities making an effort with their frocks, in fact as the days go on the dresses just seem to be getting better, and in some cases bigger too.
The Biutiful premier, which took place yesterday saw a huge variety of frocks from the straight and elegant to the big and not so Biutiful.
Naomi Watts as always wowed in a boatneck black long frock, which she teamed up with minimal make-up for the simple yet elegant look. Helena Mattson also opted for this style and dressed it up with 50s style hair and make-up.
Kate Beckinsdale took the red carpet look to racey new heights with her black luxe dress complete with high split and Naomi Campbell went for a mosaic gold sequined dress.
However while slinky dictated the main fashion theme others went for something completely different. Fan Bing Bing opted for the traditional yet tiresome white bridal inspired frock while Adrianna Karembeu went for a grey version of this theme.
Take a look at the gallery and tell us who was your best dressed.
