X Factor 2011: Pics- what Tulisa, Kelly, Janet, Sophie and Misha B wore this weekend
It was a sad night for Tulisa yesterday as one of her groups, Nu Vibe, got sent home. However, there was nothing to cry about when it came to her weekend X Factor outfits.
The judge looked hot in a black dress with a rising hem and embroidered detailing on Saturday night, while a short while netted 50s style frock on Sunday ensured she really stood out. However, she faced fashion competition from fellow judge Kelly who wowed in a gorge red minidress by Todd Lynn on Saturday night and a stunning black dress with sheer panel detailing at the neckline, on Sunday.
And the contestants also showed they had style. Misha B went for a structured purple puff sleeved dress which really made her stand out. Also going for an outrageous look was Kitty who went for a white structured short frock while Sophie played it safe in a slinky red number. Giving a nod to the lace overlay look was Janet while Sami went for a turquoise number.

Yay or nay?: X-Factor Tulisa’s new hair
Yesterday was the X Factor Press launch in London’s leafy Greenwich, and we couldn’t resist having a gander at the paparazzi photos to have another gawp at our new line-up of judges. Neither could we help staring long and hard at Tulisa Contostavlos’ new hair, which has acquired some yellowy stripy bits in it all of a sudden.
We all know that dip-dyeing (the ends of your hair being lightened for a surfer girl look) is a big hair trend at the moment, but we’re not sure about the streaky chunks of blonde at the top of Tulisa’s hair.. Maybe it’s just us but we thought that streaky hair was finally a thing of the past – but maybe that’s just us. Personally we preferred the N-Dubz singer’s dark chocolatey locks..
What do you think? Vote in the poll below to let us know whether you think Tulisa’s new dye-job is a do or a don’t.

Cheryl Cole annoyed by Cowell snub
Cheryl Cole was annoyed Simon Cowell didn’t have the “guts” to tell her she had been sacked from the US ‘X Factor’.
The 27-year-old beauty – who was officially replaced on the show by Nicole Scherzinger earlier this week following two weeks of speculation – is upset the music mogul had created a “circus” around the talent show and believes it is “shoddy” her dismissal was made public before there had been any official statement.
A source said: “Cheryl is very much her own person and she hated the circus that the ‘X Factor’ had become.
“She was annoyed that when the bad news came, Simon did not even have the guts to tell her himself and left it to another executive.
“But she was even more upset that the discussions over her contract became open season for everyone. It was shoddy to say the least.”
Cheryl is also said to have hit out at 51-year-old Simon by claiming she is no one’s “puppet” in text messages to her friends.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “After the reports surfaced at the weekend that Cowell wanted her back, her pals were clamouring to know what was going on.
“Her text response was short and brutal – that she was ‘no one’s puppet.’ It said it all. And while not mentioning Cowell by name it was clear who she meant.”
Meanwhile, Nicole – who was originally supposed to co-host the show with Welsh presenter Steve Jones – has confirmed she only found out she had replaced Cheryl as a judge when she read reports in the press.
She said: “I haven’t said this yet, but I think it’s official that I have been made a judge. It’s an amazing opportunity.
“I’m kind of finding out along with everyone else. It’s kind of crazy to read about it in the newspaper first.”
Cheryl Cole set to make a return to the US ‘X Factor’
Cheryl Cole is set to make a return to the US ‘X Factor’.
The 27-year-old singer – who was sensationally sacked from the talent series last month – has seen Fox TV bosses make a U-turn in their decision to axe her from the judging panel after show chief Simon Cowell persuaded network executives to give her another chance.
While the reason Cheryl was axed from the panel is believed to be down to worries over her strong North-East England accent and lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul, bosses are reportedly concerned they’ve made a “big mistake” after watching footage of the brunette beauty at the auditions.
With the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker expected to return to the show when the auditions start again in New Jersey on Wednesday (08.06.11), Nicole Scherzinger – who was believed to have taken over from Cheryl on the panel alongside Paula, Simon and L.A. Reid – will return to her role as co-host.
An insider told the News of the World newspaper: “This is the biggest surprise of the lot – Cheryl is back. Who could possibly have predicted this – it appeared that Simon had dumped Cheryl for good?
“But behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl. And key executives at Fox all realised they had made a big mistake. They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realised that she could be a huge star over there.”
Cheryl’s previous contract with Fox will reportedly be upheld, with the star continuing with the auditions and returning for the twice weekly live shows in the autumn.

Cheryl Cole was “shocked” to have been axed as a judge on the US version of ‘The X Factor
Cheryl Cole was “shocked” to have been axed as a judge on the US version of ‘The X Factor’.
The British beauty – who is reported to have been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel of the show alongside L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell – did not expect to be sacked and is upset Simon, with who she worked on the UK version of the show, did not tell her of the move in person.
A friend of Cheryl’s said: “She is completed shocked and stunned. She never saw this coming.
“The fact Simon didn’t tell her in person hurt. She never thought he would do that to her.”
The 27-year-old singer has told friends she feels like she has been strung up by her former boss and was not given a chance to hold her own on the musical TV talent show.
She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as telling a friend: “I’ve been hung out to dry and I know who’s to blame. I’ve had no opportunity whatsoever to prove myself and instead they’ve just cast me aside like a fool.”
Now Simon has been accused of “losing his touch” on the show, with Fox forcing his hand to release Cheryl, proving he is no longer the “arch manipulator” he thinks of himself as.
A source said: “Simon Cowell wants to be seen as the arch manipulator, the controller of everyone’s destiny, yet he seems to be losing his touch.
“He thinks he keeps everyone on their toes by leaving announcements until the last minute, but it just looks desperate. He prides himself on being able to charm everyone into doing hat he wants but the tactic is not working.
“He couldn’t get most of the US stars he wanted for ‘The X Factor’ and the Fox guys over-ruled him on Cheryl, which has got to hurt.”
It is now thought Cheryl will return to the UK version of the show, alongside Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “She is hurt but has agreed to come back. She doesn’t want her British fans to think she would desert them. She is determined to make it clear she hasn’t failed.”
