We all know that dip-dyeing (the ends of your hair being lightened for a surfer girl look) is a big hair trend at the moment, but we’re not sure about the streaky chunks of blonde at the top of Tulisa’s hair.. Maybe it’s just us but we thought that streaky hair was finally a thing of the past – but maybe that’s just us. Personally we preferred the N-Dubz singer’s dark chocolatey locks..

At the Golden Globe awards

After months of guessing who would land the much coveted role as Lois Lane, we’ve finally been put out of our misery.

It’s been confirmed that the role has been awarded to the lovely Amy Adams who will play the leading lady to Henry Cavill’s Superman, directed by Zack Snyder.

Snyder said: “There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”

We’re head over heels over Cate Blanchett’s Oscar dress, but we know it’s not to everyone’s taste.
Well known for her kooky style, Cate pulled off this stunning light lilac backless frock by Givenchy.

However, unlike many others the detailing didn’t stop there. Yellow beading formed the back straps of this chiffon number, while cut out detailing in the middle really made this frock stand out.

Lady Gaga is no stranger to kooky fashion, in fact we’d even go as far as saying she’s the queen of funky clothes.
Therefore we shouldn’t really be that surprised with the choice of outfits that she wore for her concert in Philadelphia.

However, this white wedding style dress is niggling us.

We’re not sure why, afterall it’s hardly the piece of meat she wore a while back, it’s not PVC and posing a danger to her health and it’s not even THAT outrageous.

It may possibly be the fact that it doesn’t tie in with any of her other fashions, or that we would have expected her to wear something like this for her upcoming rumoured wedding.

However, we’re willing to give her a fair fashion trial so we’re opening up the floor t you.

Our Cheryl is famous for her chocolate-haired, lusciously doe-eyed look, so it was a massive surprise to see this photos today of her out and about right before the second week of live X factor rounds sporting new cranberry-coloured hair. On closer inspection it’s the exact same colour as her yummy leather handbag – I suppose that’s probably not why she dyed it though.

She’s had red tones to her hair before, but this is a shade of scarlet that could rival Storm Lee’s. In the past it’s been a colour that has only been favoured by the bravest of the brave when it comes to celebrity hair – think Rihanna and Florence Welch – but we at Shiny Style can predict that a lot of Chezza fans will be reaching for the Loreal home-kit hair dye now (which is, incidentally, what she used – if you want to get your hair this colour you can find it online here).

Trouser suits, knee length shift dresses and casual jeans form staple parts of the actresses wardrobe and although she’s been spotted in a rare ball gown at some events, the actress seems more comfortable in androgenous suits, flats, long sleeved dresses and frocks that hide away that gorgeous figure.

We know we probably shouldn’t be too surprised at Jordan’s latest outfit, after all, the model and business woman is well known for her body (and booby) flashing clothes.

However, we thought, being a mum and the sheer amount of criticism in the press, would have calmed her down. We obviously thought wrong, because judging by the outfit she wore to the Boutique iPod Range Photocall held at the Worx, it’s getting worse.

The suit, which looks like someone’s covered Ms<strike> Price</strike>, <strike>Andre</strike>, Reid in tin foil, ready to be put in the oven does nothing to flatter the model. And the skirt which gives a nod to the Hawian look makes her look like a space tourist on tour.

She’s been spotted with it dyed pink and bright blonde and girl’s around the world have sported her trademark short cut.

But she’s also lucked out with a few styles, the mohican being one of them. And we’re not too sure about the star’s latest red colour. Yes it suits her funky fashion sense and makes her stand out from the rest of the pop crowd, but we can’t help thinking it may be a little bit too much.

The actress who plays Bella in the Twilight Saga turned up on the New York set of the Late Show with David Letterman with a mane of ginger hair, which looked suspiciously shorter than her previously brunette locks.

She also once again showed off her fierce fashion style with a little black sleeved frock and skyscraper heels before quickly changing into another black frock with statement shoulders and PVC detailing for a screening of the upcoming Eclipse film at the Crosby Hotel in New York.

According to sources the new look is for her upcoming role in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s ‘On the Road,’ but what do you think of her new barnet?

Rihanna’s style is one we like to talk about alot here at ShinyStyle. Sometimes she’s kooky, sometimes she shows us how fashion should be worn and other times she makes us feel better showing us that even the best people can make mistakes.

However we’re not too sure what to make of the outfit she wore when she arrived at Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, South Korea, where she is promoting her album ‘Rated R’.

Dressed in a military style coat over a denim waistcaot, the singer looks as though she’s tried to combine too many styles into one outfit. And while we understand the need to cover up hair after a long flight, we really can’t condone the military style baseball cap, which worn at a side angle looks as though it should be on the set of the Fresh Price of Bel-Air.
