11th Annual Warner Brothers And InStyle Golden Globe After-Party
HBO's Post Golden Globe Awards Party - Arrivals

It was a night of winners and runners up in last night's Golden Globe awards and then went for both the fashion and award stakes. Celebrities flocked onto the red carpet for one of the biggest events of the year, which took place in Los Angeles and were hosted by UK home grown Ricky Gervais. So who rocked with their frocks?

First on our rocked list is Drew Barrymore who wowed the crowd with her champagne Atelier Versace, asymmetric dress, which was covered in Swarovski crystals. The starlet also bagged herself an award for her performance in Grey Gardens.
She was followed on the frock stakes by Jennifer Aniston and Penelope Cruz who opted for safe, yet classic black dresses to take them down the red carpet in style.
Other celebs were that little bit braver opting for this season's colours. This included Cameron Diaz who wore red, Sandra Bullock who chose purple and Maggie gyllenhaal who went for pink.

Luke Worrall for New Look's SS2010 campaign

Luke W.jpg
We're slightly envious of Kelly Osbourne after seeing her beau modelling the lastest New Look designs.

The highstreet store known for it's collection of celebrity designers and models has snapped up Luke Worrall for its SS10 menswear collection.

We think the 50s inspired range, including jeans, chunky cardigans and duffle coats, plus a range of smarter wear really suits his cool look.

Just a warning Kelly. Don't let this one go.

Ladies who got that extra large tote bag they'd been banging on about this Christmas, may want to look away now because this year it's all about the smaller the better.

According to the Daily Mail, we women have woken up to the fact that carrying around a big bag complete with perfume, a change of shoes and clothes (or is that just us?), is not doing our backs or postures any good at all. It claims that our handbags are now 57% lighter than last year meaning we don't need that huge bag anymore.

And it's not just the paper that's pushing to banish the trend. Celebrities have also been spotted downsizing their bags. One example is big bag offender Katie Holmes who was spotted this month with a much smaller satchel alternative to her previous red Birkin Hermes suitcase oversized bag.

Beyond skin.jpgDo you want celebrity shoes at an ethical price? If the answers yes then you'll love this new range by Beyond Skin.

The brand, which has been favoured by celebs such as Cheryl Cole and Natalie Portman, has just launched a new collection, which will be sold at the newly opened Anthropologie store in London's Regent Street.

The new collection of ballet pumps are made from vintage fabric, sourced from the charity Traid Remade, they may be tad expensive at £68 a pair but with only around 10 versions of each design made, we think it's definitely worth it.

And ladies who like their shoes with a bit of height are also in luck. The company will be launching a range of evening styles and a range made from recycled bottle tops in March.

We'll see you at the tills.

Gallery: Pale and proud celebrities

When we first reported on the sunbed ban bill, we bought you a gallery of super tanned celebrities to show you how ridiculous many look when they over do it on radiation machines.

Therefore, with the news that pale Nicola Roberts is supporting the campaign we thought it only right to give you a gallery of pale celebs, who clearly show you don't need a tan to be beautiful.

Click on the picture below to begin the gallery.

Nicola.jpg
Last year we told you about a proposed private members bill, which would ban under 18s in England and Wales from using sunbeds, and we're pleased to see we're not the only ones backing the cause.

Last night Girl's Aloud member Nicola Roberts also put her weight behind the campaign being proposed by Cardiff North's MP Julie Morgan.

Speaking about her personal experiences the pale red head admitting had felt pressured to have a tan when she was a youngster.

"I was once in a place where I did feel a pressure to have a tan - having a tan made me feel more attractive, it made me feel more accepted and as a young girl being very influenced by peers, by media, by everybody in society, that was just the way I felt... without having a tan I didn't feel attractive, I just didn't feel very good at all," she said.

It is thought that 6 per cent of 11- to 17-year-olds in England have used sunbeds - usually coin-operated, unsupervised, and charging as little as 30p per minute. This figurerises to 20 per cent in Liverpool.

'Sherlock Holmes' German Premiere

The winter weather across Britain and Europe may have stopped football matches and commutes into work but film premiers haven't let a few pesky flakes stop them.

Yesterday Rachel McAdams braved freezing temperatures in Berlin, where she wore a a green one shoulder Alberta Ferretti crinkled silk chiffon gown to the German premiere of "Sherlock Holmes".

She completed the look with 1940s hair, which stayed put throughout the snow.
We're all for looking good on a night out but would you brave freezing temperatures and go out in a short sleeved top or mini skirt in weather like this?

Sophie Dahl marries Jamie Cullum

Sophie.jpgWhile some models are bagging themselves lucrative advertising campaigns Sophie Dahl is concentrating on her personal life.

The former plus size beauty married beau Jamie Cullum this weekend in a civil ceremony at Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest where she wore a bespoke dress by Temperley London.

The winter wonderland themed wedding was attended by close family and friends.

Sophie's godmother told the Daily Mail: "It was a very beautiful occasion.

"Sophie looked absolutely fantastic."

Congratulations guys.

Kylie.jpgKylie Minogue shows us how to brave the snow in style.

The pint sized songstress was spotted in Bromptom Road this weekend and kept toasty in a chunky puffa style white coat, which she teamed up with a high waisted belt as a nod to this year's styles.

Ms Minogue also continued the trend with a black hat, biker boots and skinny jeans, showing us all how we can stay stylish in the snow.

Celebs dress up for The People's Choice Awards

Celebs turned out in force for the first awards evening of 2010 and The People's Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre last night did not disappoint, giving us the drama and fashion sites you would expect from such a star studded bash.

Although Mariah Carey looked a vision in her white mermaid style dress, the diva didn't do so well when it came to taking the stage to accept her Favorite R&B Singer award. She was claimed to stumble and waffle for a good few minutes before being helped off the stage by her hubby.

PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS 2010

However other celebs caught our eye for the right reasons. Sandra Bullock wowed the crowd with a gold brocade Vivienne Westwood frock, which she teamed up with Brian Atwood heels. Taylor Swift also looked her usual stunning self in a gorgeous white beaded dress.

PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS 2010

Also making an appearance were Jessica Alba in Antonio Berardi, and Diane Kruger in Hervé Léger. We can't wait to see what the other events of the year hold for the fashion world.

Emma Watson.jpg

There's something magic about Emma Watson, and were not talking about her role in Harry Potter. It seems everything she touches, is a success and this time the spell has fallen on her younger brother Alex Watson, who has made his modelling debut in Burberry's spring ad campaign alongside Emma who will be fronting the brand for the second time.

According WWD, chief creative officer Christopher Bailey met Alex through Emma, and "loved their dynamic, their brother and sister energy," so he decided to take a chance and use him in the campaign.

We think the brother and sister duo cut striking figures against the 18th-century townhouse theme, and its clear this year's womens trends are set to continue along the lines of big shoulders.

The campaign also features musicians George Craig and Matt Gilmour, the son of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, and Max Hurd, a grandson of Douglas Hurd, Britain's foreign secretary under British Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and John Major.

Angelina.jpgIt's finally happened, Cheryl Cole has finally been knocked off the "I want to look like her post," by equally gorgeous Angelina Jolie.

In a survey of 3000 people by Superdrug Angie was named as the number one celebrity we all aspire to look like. The actress beat off 20 other rivals including Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightly, Beyonce Knowles and Kylie Minogue to become the number one beauty icon of the decade.

And we have a sneaky suspicion many of you chose this beauty because, lets face it, we'd all kill to have pouty lips and high cheekbones, which would attract Brad Pitt.

Do you think the prize went to the right celeb or is there someone else you would like to look like. Let us know by leaving your comments below.

Get the look: Rihanna's bandage leggings

Rihanna leggings.jpgRihanna is well known for her choice of outrageous, yet always stylish outfits and there have been a number of times when we've prayed that we could afford just one little item from her huge wardrobe.

Well we've been given a very late Christmas present as we've just spotted the singer in Topshop leggings (well we said one little item).

The singer, teamed up her trademark shoulder pads and figure hugging PVC pants with the pair of bandage leggings from Topshop Unique to see in the new year, and she's definitely made ours as a result.

For an every day look team these up with a mini leather skirt or jumper dress.

Sarah J.jpgSarah Jessica Parker walked onto our screens as a style icon, and despite a few mishaps here and there, she's remained firmly at the top of the fashion ranks. So we were hardly surprised when she was spotted already wearing a two piece outfit from Chanel's SS2010 collection.

The Sex and the City starlet sported the prairie style crochet two piece during an interview and we're sure you'll agree the poppies coupled with the cutesy skirt are a perfect nod to the next season, giving us wonderful images of picnics and of rolling in the hay.

With Chanel setting the trend this season crochet is going to be a big, so we say get those needles and knitting balls out and get practising now.

Get the look: Sienna Miller's bikini

Comments (1)

sienna.jpgWhat do celebs do when the Christmas season is over? Hit the beach of course. A range of stars are beating the winter and post Christmas blues by going away. Kate Moss and her beau Jamie Hince hit the shores of Thailand, while Lily Cole and Lindsay Lohan have opted for St Barts.

However its Sienna Miller that really grabbed our attention. Taking a break with former, and if rumours are to be believed, current flame, the actress and fashion designer donned this cute Gingham and denim bikini for her sun baking time.

And while we might not be able to bring you the celebrity lifestyle and boyfriend we can tell you her two piece can be bought from Agent Provocateur. It costs £90 for the top and £55 for the bottoms. Buy it online now, and save it for your summer holiday. If of course you can't wait until then, then you can always brave the frost and lie in the back garden.
