invisible hit counter

Full circle.JPGI'm not sure about you, but I think Angelina's looking amazing at the moment, and if it wasn't for my major crush on Brad, then I'd say he should stick with her, but well, all's fair in love and war and all that.

So imagine my delight when I got a look at Full Circle's new Autumn/Winter range, which features a dress, not so different from the one from the Michael Kors dress Angelina wore to accompany Mr Pitt to the Inglorious Basterds premier. Oh and it's also quite similar to the one his ex Jennifer wore on the front cover of Vogue.

Now we said similar, not the same, as this stunning dress has sleeves as opposed to the strapless look both women went for.

However, the material and straight cut style are a pretty close match.

As well as the Brad stealing dress the company has also teamed up with accessory Lou Dalton.

The designer, who previously worked with Tommy Hilfiger and Ted Baker has created a range of bags in moc croc, faux fur patchwork and leathers to bring a retro, vintage fashion feel to the collection.

Now I'm not sure about you, but I'm buying that dress quickly and heading, to LA.

If you want to stand out from the fashion crowd and get your hands on designs by someone who could possibly be the next Tom Ford, then get yourself onto the Asos website sharpish.

The shopping site, which keeps us up until all times of the night uming and ahing over the latest dress, is now stocking Laden Showroom an independent boutique previously in Brick Lane.

So why are we getting so excited about this boutique? Well the shop stocks a huge range of up-and-coming British designers, many of whom then go on to be big names.

We love the Renne London button batwing dress, priced at £48 and the Flamingo Fade Print Jersey Babydoll Dress, which will add a bit of 70s tie dye magic to your clothing collection.

However, we get the feeling these won't last too long, so get typing fast.

Vintasian Collection.JPGIt's been said before but I feel as though I should reinforce it and show how grateful I am to the internet for changing the way we all shop.

We can shop in our pyjamas without being arrested and sent to a loony bin, and save on piling on the makeup just because we have to go outside.

Yes there are many sites dedicated to helping us spend our money and helping us get through the insomniac ridden nights with wide eyed dreams of what will match the dress we just purchased at 3am. Now it seems there's another one that's joined the online gang.

Boutikee, launched today, combines ethnic style and vintage clothing giving us style that's more East Asia and Europe than Eastenders.

We love the Grecian style Asymmetric dress in the Vintasian summer collection, which priced at £79 is a bargain. Polka dot fans will also go dotty over the retro-chic black and white polka dot crop top (£29) and skirt (£39).

However, if you're a try before you buy girl then you can also visit the stall at Portobello Market, west London every Saturday this summer 2009. Just don't forget not to change out of your PJs.

Nothing sums up 4th July more than this Catherine Malandrino American flag-print dress. The designer considers this dress symbolic of her breakthrough in the USA, and even wore it at the end of her Spring 2009 catwalk show. Since then it has been seen on everyone from Heidi Klum to Kelly Ripa. The dress is still available from Catherine Malandrino's online boutique for $450.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!

White the stand-out trend on the Oscars red carpet

Comments (0)

You'd have to have a black and white TV not to notice how many white dresses there were on the red carpet for the 2009 Academy Awards. Of course you can check out all our Oscars coverage here, but we've also got a new gallery of all the white dresses. From the positively bridal Penelope Cruz in vintage Balmain to my personal favorite Marisa Tomei in Versace Atelier, you could see a lot of these dresses walking down the aisle. Plus, pre-spring is the perfect time for a white trend to emerge, don't you think? We know you can't wait to get all tan and whip out some white. So check out our gallery, below, and tell us which Oscar dress you'd wear in your wedding in this poll on our bridal blog.

Etsy picks.jpg

If you're as into 50's Mad Men fashion as most of us here at Shiny, take a look at this vintage 50's red plaid dress, $55, from starletvintage on Shop Etsy. We're guessing it doesn't come with the belt but we suggest you take a cue from the seller's styling because it looks adorable.

More pics after the jump.

Isaac Mizrahi for Liz Claiborne.jpg [Click image to enlarge]

More pieces from Isaac Mizrahi's first collection for Liz Claiborne are now available on the company's Web site, some even for purchase. More looks are slated to go up on the site February 15. So far we think Issac's doing his job, creating more modern clothes with more stylish silhouettes that still won't scare our Moms when they walk into Macy's. The strapless dress is definitely the one we'll see bridge the gap and pull in a younger shopper. What do you think so far?

ruffle trend dress.jpg (Click image to enlarge.)

Ruffles were all over the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet, with stars like Marisa Tomei and Teri Hatcher, above, taking part in the trend in a big way. Like the girlie appeal but don't have a formal fete ahead? Well this dress from BCBGMaxAzria is a great way to interpret the red carpet look for everyday.

Anthropologie sale.jpg

This Colette cardigan, $59.95 down from $118, is just perfect for someone with a vintage sensibility. It would accentuate some curves nicely. The It Prada lace has nothing on this Magic Words Blouse, $49.95 down from $98. And while there are several great spring dresses on sale, my favorite is this Iskaldur dress, $149.95 down from $298. I love the color and the print, which is a really understated take on floral. Even on sale it's not the cheapest pick, but it is 100% silk with a silk lining as well.

Target Go International spring 09 dress.jpg

Before we get into details of Target's next Go International designer collaboration with surfer chic Tracy Feith, first things first.

The retailer has released images of its Spring 09 GO International Collection (one of the GO lines with no designer attached) which will hit stores February 1.

As usual the collection is very colorful, and offers lots of separates and dresses like the Bustier Dress in watermelon at right, $44.99. Target cites rock 'n' roll and sporty inspirations for this collection which will sell for $16.99 to $49.99.

For more images from this collection, and details on Tracy Feith, keep reading.

Designer Party Dress 16.jpg

This is probably your last week to buy a party dress online, and you already might be paying a bit extra for shipping if you want to wear what you're buying on Christmas. Since Shopbop ships items within one business day of your order, you should be fine if you want to order this Sheri Bodell Siren dress, $568.

We love the artfully arrange sequin embellishments on this short, strapless style. It's definitely glam enough for New Year's Eve without being all-out bling (so over).

Bargain Party Dress of the Week.jpg

I recently got a fabulous deal on a green chiffon Tahari Christmas dress at Macy's ($160 down to $30 thankyouverymuch) and so I want everyone to find a fabulous dress there! So that's one reason I'm featuring the London Times Sleeveless Crossover-Waist Dress, $110, as our bargain party dress of the week.

Sure, it's a LBD, but the shimmering charmeuse, crossover and pin tucking make it so much more!

The other reason I'm featuring it? Now through Monday Macy's is extending their 20% employee discount to friends and family when you use this coupon:

Ten fashionable gifts under $100

10 under $100 1.jpg

We wrapped up $20 gifts under $200 and are on to the $50-$100 price range. The first thing we looked for? A fab coat for gifting to your favorite girl. We like this Gap plaid belted coat, on sale for $94.99, because the plaid can be a little holiday, a little preppy or a little indie depending on the giftee's style. It's a little something different for the girl who usually sticks to pea coats.

Designer Pick fo the week 9.jpg

We you know we're dedicating all designer and bargain picks of the week to party dresses for the month of December, so here's our second pick for Designer Party Dress of the Week.

We had to have at least one awesome red showstopper and this is it. The Catherine Malandrino Tuxedo Swing Dress, $425, would work equally well with a cardi for a family celebration or glammed up for a night out.

And we think the little red dress is a great alternative to all the little black dresses in your wardrobe, not just at Christmastime.

We'll try to find a similar red number for our Bargain Party Dress of the Week on Thursday, meanwhile check out Catwalk Queen's

20 under $200 11.jpg

You get some of your greatest shopping ideas from your friends, right? Me too! So for the next few items in our gift guide I've kind of copied off of my friend Jill's Christmas list (maybe I should let her husband know!).

The Frye Harness boots, $198, aren't going anywhere. They've become one of the modern classics of affordable boot styles that you know will stay en vogue for years to come. A little bit cowboy boot, a little bit motorcycle boot, this style takes cues from both of those but makes them cleaner and straighter.

Check out items one through five here, and six through 10 here, or keep reading for 12 through 15!

We're doing the best of beauty too! Click here for the first 10 beautiful gifts under $200.
