The D&G Dolce & Gabbana calfskin leather duffle bag, $895, would make such a chic carry on. And we wouldn't even be opposed to carrying it as a purse on those days when we have lots of errands and don't want to add more plastic bags to the landfill.

The distressed leather has just the right amount of shine for fall, the gray is a terrific alternative to black and even the brasstone hardware works.

We showed you Hollywould's ready-to-wear collection yesterday and now we're back with what the brand is really known for - shoes. (Bags, too!) You'll see some of the muted pastels and sea-inspired hues of the clothing line, but more brights and variety.

Yet another perk for the swag hounds that decend on New York during fashion week.

Yves Saint Laurent will be passing out thousands of free cotton totes in New York on Sept. 6 to promote the fall/winter ready-to-wear line.

The giveaway is part of the company's "manifesto" initiative which features newspaper-style catalogues to be distributedin fashion capitals all over the world.

The new Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite collection for men (though we think it would look fab on a woman, too) has been attracting a lot of attention. Some of it inadvertent.

The heist-themed dispays feature the Damier bag under a glass case like a display in a museum in one window, and a mirror image of the scene on the other side except the bag appears to have been stolen. The bag is missing, the glass is broken and fake security lasers are active.

Apparently the scene was so realistic some police officers went into the store to investigate!

Overlook the fact that yes, it is another celebrity-branded fashion range, and you might be surprised by the real quality and design of what is on offer.

We know it's a little off, but this Nappa A Hobo bag , $2,120, is really growing on us.

It works because the leather looks so soft and supple, the ruched ruffles don't look stiff like a lot of cheaper versions.

And the monochromish silver and black color palette is sophisticated enough to keep all the detail from overwhelming.

All buckled up, this shibori-dyed organic hemp and cotton tote looks like a normal handbag. But a hidden solar panel and included cell phone and Ipod adapter prove that this bag is something different.

The Willow Tote, $332, uses solar panels to charge phones and music players while it is worn.

This would obviously be best for city dwellers who get plenty of sun while jetting from place to place. I feel like I would have to leave mine on my porch in order for it to get a good charge as running to the car or office probably wouldn't cut it.

Images of Botkier's handbag line for Target have hit the Web in advance of the July 20 launch.

"[It's] a mix of luxury and utility with a downtown edge," Monica Botkier told New York Magazine. "It is for the chic, modern woman -- it features rich textures and luxe metallics, combining my signature use of hardware as the jewelry of a handbag while still keeping a focus on functionality."

The bags, which range from pochettes to totes, will all have Botkier staples like plenty of interior pockets and a long key chain.

A judge ruled in favor of Dooney & Bourke in the trademark dispute involving their "It Bag" monogram, shown, and the Louis Vuitton Monograme Multicolore collection.

The judge implied it was less a case of copyright infringement as the fact that Vuitton didn't like Dooney & Bourke cashing in on a trend LV started.
