Diane von Furstenberg dress sale.jpg

A bunch of new items have been added to the sale section of SaksFifthAvenue.com. Plus, a small link at the top of the homepage lets you know that you can get free shipping on any order with the code SFASHIP4 through November 16.

Clearly, now is the time to search for that holiday dress. And we think we've found it.

This Diane von Furstenberg Ellen Marie Sparkle Dress is to die for in a wool blend that offers more structure than her jersey knits. It's currently on sale for $195, down from $325.

Yay! The Neiman Marcus Christmas book!

Neiman Marcus Christmas book.jpg

If you're moving a little slow this Monday morning, get your creative (and consumerist) juices flowing with the Neiman Marcus Christmas book. Since the book is always fantasy for us, the economic downturn and falling sales of luxury goods don't diminish our enjoyment of the catalog one bit.

For notables from this year's offerings, keep reading. We'll whet your appetite with these options - a lifesize replica of yourself made out of LEGO bricks and a luxury wedding package beginning at $1.3 million, and one gift costing $10 million.

What girl doesn't fantasize about buying a little bit of everything in Barney's? That's the theme of the store's fall catalog, created by Simon Doonan and starring Coco Rocha.

Rocha is photographed as the character Emma, and Emma has a dilemma.

"Making decisions has never been my strong point. When faced with a chocolate eclair or a macaroon, I dither and procrastinate and end up nibbling on both" says Emma.

Gwyneth Paltrow is lending her name to support Saks Fifth Avenue's 2008 Key for a Cure campaign. The actress models a T-shirt designed by Karl Lagerfeld, which features a sketch of the man himself, in advertising for the charity. The T-shirt will retail for $40 (at least $35 going to charity) to support the cancer awareness initiative, which has previously been backed by Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, and Renee Zellweger. The T-shirts will hit the Saks website in October.

Bergdorf window 1.jpg

We're off today, but wanted to leave you with some fashionable fun for the Fourth!

Fashion designs by Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta, Lisa Perry, Isaac Mizrahi, Peter Som for Bill Blass, Chado Ralph Rucci, and Donna Karan are integrated with pictures from "A Grand Old Flag" by Kevin Keim and Peter Keim.

nicolekidman_voguedressbergdorfs.jpgThe dress worn by Nicole Kidman on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue (you know, the one where looks decidedly bump-free) has gone on sale at Bergdorf's.

Created by costume designer, Catherine Martin, the dress, which is also worn by Kidman in her forthcoming flick Australia, is currently on display in the department store's window, just a week after appearing in the style bible.

The "Shopaholic" movie has been filming at Henri Bendel several times this month, and star Isla Fisher hasn't been immune to her character's obsession - shopping!

"We're one of her favorite stores," a Bendel's spokeswoman told WWD. "[Isla's] character shops at Bendel's often, being that she's a shopaholic."

Rogan Gregory copy.jpg

Looks like Julie Gilhart, fashion director for Barney's New York, is such a big fan of Rogan Gregory's upcoming capsule collection for Target's Go International range that she's arranged for the mass retailer to launch the collection at the New York and Beverly Hills Barney's New York stores.

Prada pumps collage.jpg

The right-off-the-runway footwear from Prada was a little too much for us, but these Prada silk crystal pumps are just right. Except for maybe the price, which is $750.

L.A.M.B.jpg

Forgive us, but we kind of thought L.A.M.B. handbags were already high end.

But apparently we were wrong because the brand is set to launch a Black Label named Aston with bags ranging from $525 to $1,495.
