First looks: Lindsay Lohan’s new designs for her 6126 range

One actress, come designer, who has not been as successful as the Olsen Twins in her foray into fashion is Lindsay Lohan, whose collection for Ungaro two seasons ago bombed.

However she’s not giving up. Earlier this week we told you that LiLo was planning on extending her 6126 line from leggings to handbags and tops, and we’ve managed to get hold of some pictures from the lookbook, which also seems to include minidresses and leather vests.

According to NY Mag the lookbook’s intro, which tells of Lindsay’s inspiration, reads: “The iconic Marilyn Monroe and the timeless, confident glamour she represents.”

Hmmm we’re not sure about this but we want to know what you think of the first shots of the collection? Are they great or are they grim?

Lindsay Lohan to add handbags and tops to her 6126 range

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t been very lucky in life recently. Her acting work has taken a dry spell and her designs for Ungaro didn’t quite hit the fashion mark leading to rumours that she’d been sacked as creative director.

However the actress seems to be fighting back. According to NY Mag she’s added a range of new clothing and handbags to her own fashion line 6126, which is currently just a leggings range at the moment.

She will be using the same licensee that produces bags for Christian Audigier‘s Ed Hardy line, the California Bag Company, to produce the handbags for the next three years.

The collection, which is said to include 280 garments is due to hit stores in July and will also include tops designed to match her range of leggings.

We can’t wait to see the new looks and we really hope they aren’t as bad as her designs for Ungaro.

Lindsay Lohan continues fashion designing for 6126

It seems the phrase “once bitten, twice shy,” has no meaning for Lindsay Lohan.

Fresh from her her disastrous attempt of fashion designing for Ungaro the actress turned, Jackie of all trades, has announced she’ll remain firmly on the style scene and will continue to expand her clothing line 6126.

According to sketches obtained by WWD, her line will consist of 100 pieces including jackets, trousers and skirts. However, we think she may be going down the Ungaro disaster route with her range of padded leggings (yes you read right), which are said to cost around $100.

And just in case the collection goes wrong, and Lindsay tries to blame others we’ve got it on good authority that she has 100% input into the designs.

Kristi Kaylor, principal in 6126 LLC, told WWD: “She’s intimately involved from Day One, She picks fabrics. She looks at trims. She picks buttons. She doesn’t let anything go into production without trying it on.”

Get in queue now, because Lindsay Lohan’s leggings line ’6126′ are on sale in a big way at Nordstrom.

Some of her styles, like these ‘Star Torn’ leggings, have literally been slashed by 60 per cent in price.

For example, they were retailing for $110 and they now selling for just $43.90. You don’t need to be a maths whiz to know that is quite a substantial saving.
