Gold shoes kind of clash with the “orange carpet” at the Academy of Country Music Awards, but they’re still really cute.

Miranda Lambert, left, paired hers with a short printed dress. It might be a little matchy-matchy to pair gold shoes with a print with so much of the color in it, but that’s a very southern convension. We love the platform and criss-cross straps anyway.

Academy of Country Music Awards: Karolina Kurkova, Nicole Kidman, Taylor Swift, LeAnn Rimes

It is a mixed bag of fashions at country music events, and most music events really. There was some horrible western wear (we’re looking at you, Miss Nevada) and a lot of prom dresses at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night.

But lucky for us a few fabulous ladies stunned in the style department.

We’re not sure why Karolina Kurkova was presenting at the awards ceremony, but she chose a short, backless romper to do it. It was definitely a fashion-forward choice for the more tradtitional red carpet, but she certainly showed that she still has the body she’s known for.
