David Beckham is to turn his hand to underwear design

David Beckham is following the footsteps of his wife Victoria, who’s now pretty much a fully-fledged designer in New York, and turning his hand to design himself – but instead of sportswear, which is what we’d expect the guy to be designing, he’s actually designing underwear after appearing in a campaign for Emporio Armani briefs.

And you thought he’d be designing the same kinds of tighty-whities he’s always seen smouldering in on billboards, you’re wrong – he’s actually designing old fashioned long-johns. Apparently David Beckham looooves a pair of old-school grandpa-style long johns! Who the hell knew!

When explaining his unusual choice of design for the new collection, David said: “I sometimes wear them to go to sleep. They’re very cool.” Bless him.

A source close to David spoke out about the footballer’s new underwear plans: “David is 35 and knows he won’t be playing soccer forever. But he’s an icon for men all over the world and he wears pants like no one can – so it makes sense for him to launch his own.”

Well, we’re glad that Victoria is around to help him out with his designs and try to sex up long-johns a little bit. We don’t want all our boyfriends to follow suit and start going to bed looking like our grandpa.

Kate Moss is to front a new line of Rimmel lipsticks for her 10th anniversary working with the brand

Kate Moss is set to celebrate ten happy years as the face of Rimmel makeup with a new capsule collections of lipstick for the brand.

The collection will consist of seven different shades which will span from classic pillarbox-reds to coral and pink colours that the model promises will match any outfit. The model said: “My inspiration for this range was really to create a range of easy to wear, classic shades that I have always worn and loved. From bright reds, to soft pinks and nudes, there is a shade for everyone and any occasion. It was also really important for me that they were comfortable to wear. Whatever your outfit there is sure to be a shade to match!”

Steve Mormoris, Senior Vice-President, Global Marketing for Coty Beauty, added: “Kate Moss is the ultimate London girl and truly conveys the London Look: she is a leader in the fashion and beauty stakes and Rimmel is thrilled with our long-standing relationship with the world’s most famous model.”

The new line will be launched at the beginning of London Fashion Week on the 15th, with Mossy turning up to Battersea Power Station in a helicopter to re-create the first campaign she ever did with Rimmel. Viva the London look!

Rosie Huntington-Whitely is set to star in the Autumn M&S campaigns

Britain’s poutiest supermodel, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, is going to be the new face of Marks & Spencer’s Autumn ad campaigns alongside the Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds.

The A-list twosome are going to front M&S’s Autograph collection, one of the department store’s many different clothing lines, though Autograph is one of the most fashion-forward ones. Rosie, who’s previously modelled in Burberry campaigns, said: “I feel proud to be associated with a British high street favourite that holds fond memories for so many people.”

The Canadian heart-throb Ryan also has a fond connection with the store and thinks of M&S with “nostalgia”. He said: “Going into an M&S store with my family or friends always gives me a beautiful pang of nostalgia. The Autograph collection is a modern take on the classic style I love and feel most comfortable wearing. The pieces in this collection are lasting staples that’ll never go out of style.”

The executive director of the store, Steve Sharp, was absolutely ecstatic to get the Hollywood pair to front the brand – we have to say that a Victoria’s Secret model and a Hollywood blockbuster hero is a bit of a step up from Myleene Klass and Danni Minogue dancing around in their pyjamas. He told MailOnline: “Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph – beautiful, exclusive and absolutely contemporary. On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerising performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery.”

Keep an eye out for these two on the telly – Marks & Spencer just got sexy.

Here’s a title we never thought we’d write: Naomi Campbell plans a lawsuit against Cadbury’s chocolate

Supermodel Naomi said that she found the new Cadbury's campaign "insulting and hurtful"

Everyone knows that Naomi Campbell is one supermodel who’s never shied away from a confrontation, but this has to be one of her most unusual fights yet: the Croydon beauty may be about to declare legal war on Cadbury’s, the chocolate manufacturers.

Naomi is said to be righteously angry and upset about a new poster campaign that was launched last week with the strapline: “Move over, Naomi, there’s a new diva in town.”

The supermodel spoke to the Daily Mail about her feelings on the campaign. ”I am shocked. It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me but for all black women and black people…. I do not find any humour in this. It is insulting and hurtful.” Since making her feelings known to the media, it’s said that Naomi’s planning to fight the chocolate manufacturers in court.

The chocolate company seem pretty mortified and have already taken down the ad. In a statement made by the company a spokesperson said, “Cadbury takes its responsibility very seriously indeed and we would never produce any marketing activity we felt might cause offence to any section of society.”

Unfortunately, even a tadpole could work out the racist connotations of the ad, whether Cadbury’s had thought them through or not. I think I’m with Naomi on this one..

Get a room, guys: David and Victoria Beckham’s steamy new ad for fragrance “Intimately Yours”

Dave and Vickz have unveiled the racy new  promo for their Mr & Mrs fragrance, “Intimately Yours”. The short film clip, which you can have a good perv over here, shows the superstar duo getting into a lift, sharing a very breathy and passionate kiss, then emerging from the lift again looking a bit rumpled and hot under the collar. Ooh, matron.

It’s not the first time the star couple have flaunted their sex life (and David’s abs) to the public – who could forget their husband-and-wife photoshoot for Giorgio Armani in their undies? Or James Corden’s parody of it too, for that matter. This is one couple that likes to let everyone know what’s going on in the bedroom.

The scent is said to “capture the essence of David and Victoria’s passion and the power of their relationship.” And boy, does it. The promo couldn’t have come at a better time for the Beckhams – with all the recent rumours of David’s affairs and Victoria’s neuroses concerning their marriage, the video practically screams, “Look! We still really fancy each other!”

Awww, you guys… still. Get a room.

Taylor Momsen: Madonna and Lourdes’ new Material Girl

Material Girl's new campaign ad Gossip Girl star and self-proclaimed “bad girrrl” Taylor Momsen is set to become the spokesperson for the “Material Girl” line, designed by Madonna and Madonna’s wonder-girl Lourdes. The eighties-inspired juniors’ collection is set to hit Macy’s in the U.S.A next month.

I’m surprised that Lourdes herself wasn’t chosen to front the brand; after all, Madonna is the original Material Girl (as Macy’s keeps reminding us) and Lourdes is the spitting image of her pop-icon mama. Taylor looks her usual surly, racoon-eyed self posing for the brand’s first ad campaign in a stripy miniskirt, black fur gilet and some very Desperately Seeking Susan-esque biker boots.

ShinyStyle watch: Scarlett Johansson for D&G make-up

It was only yesterday that we featured Scarlett Johansson in our models versus celebrity face-off after some designers said they would go back to using models over A-List stars in their campaigns.

However, we think perhaps we were a little bit too hasty to agree because Scarlett looks amazing in this latest campaign for Dolce & Gabbana Makeup campaign.

The star looks every inch the 50s chick with her Marilyn Monroe curls and we love the blue metallic shade she wears on her eyes. And she’s proved she’s most definitely a muse for the brand. D&G have named a colour in their Roses Lipstick collection Scarlett.

She said of the campaign: “I try to be inspired by old Hollywood glamour, whether that’s Rita Hayworth or Lauren Bacall.”

Britney Spears has reprised her role as the face of Candie’s for the fall ’09 campaign. Currently on tour in Europe, the singer also wears Candie’s clothing, footwear, and accessories in her new music video for “Radar.” Despite what seems like a major Photoshopping job, a rep for Britney claims this is not the case. Controversial Calvin Klein billboard replaced by Doutzen Kroes in a bikini

It didn’t take long (just enough time to achieve maximum exposure, I’m presuming) for Calvin Klein to pull it’s controversial jeans billboard in Manhattan. The company has instead replaced the “threesome” ad with a much less provocative shot of Doutzen Kroes in a red bikini. I’m sure this will come as a sight for sore eyes to many of the locals, namely of the male variety.

The Harry Potter star has made her modelling debut for the label’s autumn/winter 2009-10 campaign alongside four very handsome young men.

“Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign,” said creative director, Christopher Bailey. “I felt [she] would be strong enough to hold the campaign as the only girl, and I loved the idea of her being surrounded by these young, cool British guys.”

Last season she was thrown together with the very handsome Gaspard Ulliel, and now she has been joined by Sasha Pivovarova for the brand’s spring/summer ’09 campaign. Colourfully captured by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the duo appear to mirror each other with matching blonde choppy hair, sharp cheekbones, and perfect pouts. You’d hardly guess there was an 11-year gap in their ages, would you?

Natalia Vodianova the new face of Diane Von Furstenberg, and the first in a while

Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova is set to become the face of the spring DVF campaign – the first ad campaign the label has run in a while.

The pictures were shot last week in Manhattan by François-Marie Banier. Both model and photographer then attended the Guggenheim’s annual Young Artist’s Ball on Thursday where she told Fashion Week Daily: “Diane is an amazing and gracious woman, and to work with her was a true pleasure”.

“She’s done a lot for American fashion, and she’s just such a style icon. Plus her clothes feel like second skin,” she added. The duo is pictures above at The Naked Heart Foundation Auction And Cocktail Party in 2004.

The former Calvin Klein model will also appear next spring in promotional video for Louis Vuitton joining a bevy of supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Stephanie Seymour. Guess she’s getting those three kiddies’ college funds in order. Except her husband is a real-estate heir and the half-brother of a Viscount. Maybe it’s the free clothes.
