First Look: Emma Watson’s new ad campaign for Lancôme

By emilyborrett on September 7th, 2011

Emma Watson, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways.. We’re super excited because not only did she dazzle us yesterday at the GQ awards in an Alexander McQueen dress, but we’ve also just seen Emma Watson’s new campaign as the face of Lancôme Paris’ new perfume, Trésor Midnight Rose. And she looks like a dream in the advert!

The ad shows our favourite British actress flitting across city streets with her trademark cropped hair, enchanting bookstore clerks in fedora hats and sizzling at night in a mist of Midnight Rose. How very Lancôme. We’re pretty much sold on this perfume already.

You can check out the new ad in the video below – is Emma the perfect Lancôme cover girl or what? Let us know what you think of the new advert by commenting below.

Big brands fight it out for Cheryl Cole to appear in their ads

By Andrea Petrou on March 11th, 2010

Cheryl may be having a tough time in her personal life (for the record we think she can do so much better than Ashley) but she’s certainly not struggling with her work.

According to reports in the Mirror the X-Factor judge, and current face of L’Oreal, has caused a battle between 3 designers who all want her to front their next season collections and ad campaigns.

Roberto Cavalli has already offered £1.3 million for Cheryl to star in his autumn/winter ’10 campaign, but he’s trailing behind two more designers who have put up offers in excess of £2 million each.

Well, what can we say, she’s obviously worth it.

First Looks: Scarlett Johansson for Mango SS2010

By Andrea Petrou on January 21st, 2010

scar1.jpgScarlett Johansson is no stranger to modelling and not at all unfamiliar with Mango after she fronted the company’s A/W 2009 campaign, for which she received mix responses for.

However that hasn’t stopped her being signed up to front the highstreet store’s S/S2010 collection.

Personally we think Scarlett looks fabulous in this season’s florals and floaty designs and we don’t think anyone will be complaining this time.

Taylor MomsenIt was only last week that we we’re giving you a few hints and tips on how to get Taylor Momsen’s statement look.

And it seems British brands are also taking note of the Gossip Girl’s style. According to NY Magazine the star is set to join a long list of celebs who are now modelling for retailers, and could soon be fronting a New Look advertising campaign.

It may not be Louis Vuitton or Burberry but we think her edgy and sassy looks will work really well with this young retailers looks.

We’ll keep you posted of any developments in the New Year.

Taylor Lautner rumoured to model for Armani

By lotte on December 11th, 2009

Taylor Lautner Armani.jpg In a bit of manly fashion news, rumours are abounding that Taylor Lautner, of shitrless-werewolf-in-Twilight fame, is set to be the face of an Armani fragrance and the cheaper Armani/Exchange line. As Taylor is currently only 17, it could be that Armani wait until his 18th birthday next February before confirming anything, but the levels of hype on the internet surrounding the rumour at the moment means that the fashion brand might have to go ahead with it anyway – or face the wrath of millions of teenage girls on ‘Team Jacob’.

Taylor will be following in the footsteps of the slightly more mature David Beckham, who’s stripped down for several Armani underwear campaigns in the past. If you’ve seen New Moon, you’ll be familiar with Taylor Lautner’s buffed-up body, but we’re thinking he might be a bit young to represent such a well-established brand. Watch this space for updates.

The brand has opted to use Lithuanian model Rasa Zukauskaite, who is no stranger to the brand or high end fashion.

Madonna signed up by Dolce and Gabbana’s 2010 campaign

By Andrea Petrou on November 10th, 2009

madonna.jpgMadonna may have been dumped for a younger model by Versace but the queen of pop has shown she still has it.

The popstar has been signed up by Dolce & Gabbana. Madge will front the brand’s spring 2010 campaign and has already shot the ads in Brooklyn with photographer Steven Klein.

The designers said in their blog: “As Dolce & Gabbana’s spring/summer 2010 collection returned to the Italian roots of the brand, evoking its strong heritage and revisiting iconic pieces such as the corset (the designer’s finale was composed solely of corsets) it seemed only fitting that Madonna, who embodies both the strong sensuality of the brand and who shares an Italian heritage with the designers should be the one to showcase the Sicilian inspired collection.”

It seems Madonna will still be remaining a Material Girl for the foreseeable future.
