Jet black lace from Bisou Bisou £86.50 via Damaris
It’s almost time for that one day of the year when couples feel the pressure of ‘being romantic because someone said so (rumour has it Hallmark ‘invented’ it to sell more greeting cards..) and singletons either feel a) miserable because they haven’t got someone special to share chocolates and champagne with or b) put on their best ‘I really don’t care’ face and get on with their life.
Now for us Valentine’s is not so much about the ‘lovey dovey let’s show the rest of the world that we’re ever so in love’, but the fact that we can splurge on new investments for our lingerie collection. OK we do that whenever we feel like it – coupled up or not – but it’s always great to have an extra excuse for bringing out the plastics. We’re talking cards not PVC – though there’s nothing wrong with the latter…
Lingerie obsessed as we are, we’ve scoured the web to find some of the most delicate, seductive and darn cute underwear options available, so that you can drop hints or click buy in good time for Valentine’s Day. Happy shopping!
Gossard
This sumptuous corselet in floral lace and silks is the perfect choice for a glamorous, vintage inspired look. Get it from Brastop, £41.95 (RRP£59).

Beauty, Christmas gifts, Features, Gallery
By Elisabeth Edvardsen on December 7th, 2012
The other day we wrote about five Christmas gifts women don’t want, in hope that boyfriends, fiancés and husbands out there might realise that Crocs are DEFINITELY NOT on our list of fashionable things. Now that we told you what we don’t want, we only thought if fair to drop more than a subtle hint about what women (OK us) absolutely love to find nicely wrapped under the Christmas tree. After all it can be difficult know what to get the super cool, kinda geeky, utterly adorable, sometimes naughty, very hot, hysterically funny lady in your life.
Here are our top 25 Christmas gift choices for her this year.
De' Longhi Vintage Coffee Machine
Which better way to start every new day for the rest of one’s life (or until the machine breaks or you upgrade) than by making a fresh cup of coffee?
Available from John Lewis for £189.95.

Famous for its sexy lingerie, Agent Provocateur has made its premium collection Soirée available online. The range, which launched two years ago, has until now only been sold through selected stores worldwide because some of the items contain Swarovski crystals, making them so expensive that they need their own security.
Made from the finest silks, all Soirée items are sold in limited edition so are quite covetable objects.

To mark the online launch, Agent Provocateur has created a short horror film, Fleurs Du Mal, which sees stunning robot-vampire like models playing… almost torturing each other while dressed in the rather risky lingerie.
The most expensive item of the collection, the £15,000 playsuit will however unfortunately not be available online.
CHECK OUT THE GALLERY BELOW FOR MORE OF THE COLLECTION

Josephine De La Baume has spoken out about her experience fronting an Agent Provocateur campaign – and the French superbeauty loved it.
Josephine, who is an actress/model and also the gorgeous fiancée of Mark Ronson, found that doing the raunchy AP photoshoot made her feel sexy, powered and confident, as she felt that the lingerie that she modelled showed off the best parts of her figure.
She said: “I worked closely with Johan Renck, the director, so it felt like a collaboration. People say these brands objectify women, but I think Agent Provocateur is empowering. The clothes help you to carry your body with pride.”
I’d like to feel empowered with a little help from Agent Provocateur, but I can’t even afford a G-string from there – lucky old Josephine probably got to keep lots of knickers from the shoot. Looks like it’s empowered in Primark for me then..

Daisy Lowe has revealed that she feels the most comfortable just in her lingerie.
The model, who has worked with the likes of Pam Hogg and Agent Provocateur in the past, and is set to appear in the iconic men’s magazine Playboy in September, says sexy undies are what she feels the most comfortable in.
Daisy told Playboy magazine: “It’s flattering that men think I could be sexy. I would like it if taking my clothes off made other women feel they can do the same. I’m more comfortable in my underwear than anywhere else. You don’t have to worry about how to dress your shape. It’s just there.”
It’s a proud thing to have a normal sized woman with womanly curves like Daisy be so proud of her shape. More power to her.

Agent Provocateur’s non-celebrity campaigns can be a little weird, but this is the weirdest. And Pixie Geldof is in it. Does she count as a celebrity? Either way, she’s willing to work with centaurs. Seriously. Furry centaurs. Couldn’t they get the centaurs from Harry Potter?
There are some sweet pieces in this collection, but also some stuff you could easily get at Victoria’s Secret or Frederick’s of Hollywood.
Click through for more pictures, including Pixie as a pixie.

The Kate Moss fans over at our U.K. fashion site have been following the is she isn’t she story of Kate Moss for Agent Provocateur for weeks. Here’s a handy round-up of the information so far.
- Kate Moss is still in at Agent Provocateur, as their bridal campaign gal.
- Lily Cole and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were mentioned as new AP faces, but have yet to be confirmed.
- Alice Dellal has possibly been tapped for a future AP campaign.
- Dellal isn’t the only new talent rumoured to be on the AP payroll.
There is further whispers that New York model Paz de la Huerta (pictured left), and Helena Christensen have been selected for AP’s next mainline campaign, along with Dellal.

From our U.K. fashion blog, Catwalk Queen:

We all know that Kate Moss can pull a crowd in London, but what about in New York? Apparently so, with the Brit model attracting a hoard of A-listers to the launch of her new Agent Provocateur campaign last night, at Milk studios in New York.

This Agent Provocateur promotional film seems to show off Kate Moss’s mediocre acting more than any underwear, but we’re sure fans will take what they can get. Fashionista wonders if Kate’s too thin to be sexy, but we’re mostly wondering what’s up with her eyes?

We take it back, Elisa is a genius. After trashing the weird arm bands accompanying her outfit on last night’s Project Runway, we glimpsed a bit of the the 2008 Agent Provocateur swimwear due out in March. Similar, no?
Did anyone else immediately think this grown woman was wearing swimmies because her Mommy wouldn’t let her in the pool alone without them? Perhaps victims of near-drowning incidents actually will go for this style – low oxygen to the brain and all.
