Alexa Chung is dating Theo from Hurts

Alex Turner had better get back on the dating scene soon, because his newly exed love Alexa Chung is already in a sneaky relationship with Theo Hutchcraft from the electro Brit band Hurts.

We have to admit we were a bit choked when we found out that Alexa and Alex had called it a day on their relationship – fashion’s best couple!- but we like Theo’s style, so maybe he will be a reasonable substitute for Miss Chung.

A source leaked to the Sun newspaper: “It’s still early days but Theo is really keen on Alexa. They met at the American music festival Coachella in April and Theo has been spending a lot of time in New York, where Alexa lives. They share the same interests – music and fashion – and get on really well. But the relationship is still raw and they’re not putting too much pressure on each other to make it work at this stage.”

Awww, you guys. Now your relationship isn’t a secret anymore, can we see some his’n'hers matching denim outfits, please? Thanks.

Alexa Chung is set to have her own fashion reality TV show

Anyone who’s seen every episode of Project Runway and is now having major fashion-TV withdrawals will be so, sooooo excited about this news – the Lifetime network that Project Runway is a part of have got a new show in the pipeline – and it’s going to be fronted by our very own Alexa Chung.

The show, which is rumoured to be called “24-Hour Catwalk”, will show designers competing against each other in runway challenges, with the iconic designer Cynthia Rowley apparently taking part in the show. No doubt Alexa will pull out all the fashion stops when it comes to her outfits for the show. She’ll also need to get a cute little phrase she says at the end of each show, like when Heidi Klum says “Auf Wiedersehen!”.

We hope that this project goes ahead SO MUCH. Nothing beats sitting in your PJs on a Sunday night eating ice-cream and watching tearful designers screaming at each other while they huddle over their sewing machines like prisoners of war.

If you’re like us you were sad and surprised to read today that UK super-couple Alexa Chung and Alex Turner have ended their four-year relationship (they seemed so happy!), so we are paying tribute to the end of their relationship the only way we know how – a style spotlight on one of the past ten years’ best-dressed couples. After all,we’re talking about Alexa and Alex here!

From the time that they first got together, Alexa and Alex were always right at the top of our style radar, rocking a his and hers blend of indie and Britpop style, jazzed up with a little bit of Alexa’s fashion know-how and magic.

It’s sad news, but they’re both very beautiful, popular and talented, so it will be interesting to see what happens to the pair next. Check out the gallery above for our countdown of our favourite looks from one of the coolest couples from the UK.

Alexa and Alex in happier times back in 2008

It’s bad news for one of Britain’s coolest couples, as news has reached our ears that young fashion icon Alexa Chung and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner have decided to end their much-publicised relationship.

We were surprised to hear this – we’ve always thought the couple seemed so solid – but reports have surfaced that the couple have been rowing recently and decided that enough was enough. It’s said to be a sad but happy split, as the pair say that they hope to stay friends.

Having said that, it’s hardly surprising that the two have drifted apart with their hectic schedules, as Alex is frequently on the road with his bands and Alexa has a full diary for the summer as she settles down to work in New York.

For the four years that they’ve been together, Alex and Alexa have been known as one of the UK’s coolest and most well-shod couples, appearing at pretty much every festival worth being seen at in his n’ hers festival fashion.

It’s sad news, but good luck to the couple – we don’t think that either of them will have much trouble finding love again once they’re ready to get back on the celebrity dating scene.
