It was a star studded night on Sunday as celebrities hit the red carpet for the 62nd Emmy Awards, and we’re pleased to say there wasn’t a bad frock in sight.
Glee star Lea Michelle wowed in a stunning Oscar de la Renta mermaid dress, complete with ruffles and a sweetheart neckline, while reality TV star Kim Kardashian sparkled in a white floaty Marchesa Grecian gown, which she teamed up with a loose updo. Heidi Klum also opted for this designer, but unlike Kim, she went for a black mini frock, which showed off those super toned pins.
True Blood star Anna Paquin kept it smart and gave a nod to the 50s in an avant garde Alexander McQueen dress, and even Tina Fey, whose style can be somewhat, iffy, stepped up looking lovely in a fitted funky print Oscar de la Renta frock. Mad Max starlet Christina Hendricks stood out in a purple chiffon frock complete with feather detailed sleeves by Zac Posen and Brit babe Emily Blunt also channelled this colour with a cute asymmetric long dress complete with jewel detailing.
January Jones, who is well known for her quirky style, didn’t disappoint with an electric-blue Versace frock with Madonna-style cone-bra cups and a mullet skirt, while Claire Danes looked sophisticated in a sparkly Armani Prive straight frock.
Black was also a trend for a few celebrities with both Eva Longoria and Kelly Osbourne opting for sleek, yet sophisticated black mermaid frocks in this staple colour.

The Comic Con conference is reaching it’s forth day and it’s been four glorious days of celeb interviews, parties and press conferences.
Angelina Jolie kicked off day one of the conference, where she turned up in a sexy black leather number to promote her new film Salt. Black was also the colour of choice for Vanessa Hudgens who opted for a strapless frock for the Sucker Punch photocall, while Scarlett Johansson opted for the shade at the Avengers press day.
Others such as Liv Tyler and Natalie Portman went for brighter colours. Natalie opted for in pastels with shorts and a tee, while Liv went for a short bright coloured frock for her the Super photocall. Kelly Brook and Eva Mendes also donned pastel taffeta frocks for the Other Guys Maxim party.
However, not everyone felt the need to dress up. Fashion icon and actress Helen Mirren shunned her normal impeccable frocks for jeans and a tee for the first day of the event.
