All things “Sex and the City” are grabbing shoppers’ interest right now, and the Cosabella “Sex and the City” lingerie range is no exception.
The Manhattan flagship Bloomingdale’s store will be hosting a launch party Thursday, as part of a week-long lead up to the movie’s big New York premiere.
There will be free foot and body massages by Oasis Day Spa, as well as two screening passes for the motion picture, 100 “Sex and the City” T-shirts, a DJ and gift bags.

Heidi Klum made an appearance at the Bloomingdale’s in Beverly Hills yesterday to launch her new line of jeans for Jordache.
“Every designer owns their butt pocket, so this [is] my butt pocket, which I’m very proud of,” she told People magazine.
The Heidi Klum for Jordache Ellie bootcut jeans with gold lurex that Heidi is wearing go for $160, exclusively at Bloomies.

The former Drake hotel, on Park Avenue and 56th Street may be the new location for Nordstrom’s first Manhattan retail store as Nordstrom Inc. signs a nonbinding letter of intent for the space. Although that particular part of Park Avenue doesn’t contain many retailers, the location is promising, as it’s not too far from the 57th Street slew of upscale retailers, as well as Bloomingdales on 59th Street and Lexington and Barneys New York on Madison Avenue between 60th and 61st Streets.

This first pick is a BB Dakota cable-knit tunic (left) for just $36.90. It looks chic with jeans with or without a long-sleeve tee underneath, and can even be worn as a dress with black or charcoal tights.

What’s better than a fashion trend that breeds comfort? I am loving this oversized sweater thing!
I picked up two in the past week that I know will stick with me all the way ’til spring. First, I grabbed this cashmere kimono-sleeve sweater from Bloomingdales in heather grey. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend at a whopping $299 but I just had to have it. I’ll be loving it up with jeans in the dead of winter on my way to holiday dinner. Next was this cashmere oversized tunic from J. Crew in navy which is merchandised as a dress, but can double as a chic oversized sweater. This only took me for $198 and didn’t generate as much guilt as the Bloomies one. But really, these are two basic must-have pieces that will bring a smile to my face even when it’s ten degrees below zero!

When the rubber rainboot trend first hit the streets, I was a bit skeptical. Mostly because a lot of stores were carrying styles that put me back to grade school. Clouds, rainbows, and pink boots with a kitty-cat face at the toes—I could go on and on. Eventually though, I got sick of dodging puddles in heels, (not to mention I ruined some serious shoes) so, I bought a pair of Marc Jacob All Weather Boots. They were rubber, olive green, up to my knees and Lord have mercy they saved my life! No more drenched jeans, wet feet or ruining great shoes. It really made sense why people loved rubber boots. Coincidently, the NY Times did a little slide show this week of New Yorkers battling recent rainy weather. And guess what the focus was? Rainboots!
