Replicas of Bella Swan’s Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 wedding dress go on sale

By Andrea Petrou on November 24th, 2011

Replicas of Bella Swan’s Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 wedding dress have gone on sale.

The Carolina Herrera designed gown – worn by actress Kristen Stewart in the movie – provided the inspiration for the $799 dress adapted by designer Michael Shettel for the collaboration between Summit Entertainment and bridal retailer Alfred Angelo and Michael admitted keeping the price down was a struggle.

He said: “There were pricing issues to try to get it down to $799. That was the biggest issue more than design issues.”

The dress features liquid satin instead of the silk used on the gown worn by Bella when she married her vampire love Edward Cullen in the film.

Carolina is also set to sell gowns which follow the same design as Bella’s dress at her CHNY boutique and the designer recently revealed Kristen found trying on the dress for the first time an emotional experience.

She told Vogue.co.uk: “In the initial fitting when Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was very moved. In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film, she was a bride, and a happy one at that. It is always very important to make the bride happy, of course, and in this case I was delighted to do so. It was a very special moment for both Kristen and the character of Bella to share.

“A wedding dress is both an intimate and personal for a woman – it must reflect the personality and style of the bride. Bella’s dress is romantic and filled with a timeless sophistication, very similar to the character. In a way, this dress served as a symbol of the character’s coming of age and introduction into womanhood.”

Kick starting our best dressed list today is Jennifer Aniston who turned up in a white beaded dress for the Horrible Bosses London premiere, while brights were on the cards for some of the Girls Aloud girls who turned up to support Kimberley Walsh at the Horrid Henry premiere.
Kimberley went for an orange short dress, while Sarah Harding looked hot in a nude knitted frock.

However, it was Nicola Roberts who stole the show in a yellow print maxi dress.

Kristen Stewart was horrified by the robotic baby she had to work with in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1

By Andrea Petrou on July 25th, 2011

Kristen Stewart was horrified by the robotic baby she had to work with in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′.

The actress – who plays Bella Swann in the vampire film series – was looking forward to her alter-ego having a child with her on-screen blood-sucking lover Edward Cullen but admits the reality was somewhat different because they used an animatronic child, which was operated by a member of the crew.

Speaking of the moment Bella meets her half-vampire, half-human child, Kristen said: “In the book that was one of my favourite parts.

“But filming it, this guy’s sweating under your eye line, they get the hand up to touch your face and then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit.

“You’re like, ‘Ugh! Get that thing off me. Get me a baby, this is ridiculous.’ It had hair and it’s a newborn baby.”

Robert Pattinson – who plays the baby’s vampire father Edward – was also repulsed by the artificial baby as it looked like something from a horror movie.

He is quoted by the Daily Record newspaper: “It’s Chucky from ‘Child’s Play’!”

Bella and Edward’s daughter, who they name Renesmee Carlie Cullen, grows much faster than other children and Kristen admits filming with some of the child stars was tough because they were bigger than her.

The 5ft 6in beauty said: “Occasionally I couldn’t pick up the kid.”

Twilight director says Ashley Greene’s pay dispute could turn nasty

By Andrea Petrou on May 19th, 2010

A few weeks ago we reported that there were disputes between Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz and the directors of Twilight were in force over pay and now it seems the row is getting deeper.

Twighlight director Catherine Harwick has waded into the pay dispute over the last two films saying ‘things could turn ugly’ if it is not resolved

Filming for the last two movies have already been delayed as the two stars branded the pay offers as “offensive” and despite alternative offers it seems things aren’t getting better with rumours the the two members of the cast may be replaced.

And it now seems more likely than ever that bosses will have to replace the two actors for final film, Breaking Dawn.

‘It would really break my heart if they were replaced, but it could happen,’ first Twilight director Catherine Hardwick told reporters at last weekend’s Twilight convention in Vancouver.

Oh dear.

What do you think of the scenario? Would you be upset if these two were replaced?

Are Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz out of the Breaking Dawn Twilight film?

Could Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz be out of the next Twilight picture?

If rumours are to be believed then unfortunately this could be the case.

According to sources the two co-stars have yet to sign the contract for Breaking Dawn, which looks set to be split into two films, following disputes over pay.

The Hollywood Reporter said the stars have reportedly branded current pay offers ‘offensive’ in comparison to the rest of the cast, and have refused to sign on the dotted line.

It’s said that because of this producers may cut out the characters out completely or bin one to show they won’t play pay ball. We hope it’s resolved soon.
