Pictures – The British Fashion Awards: Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Samantha Cameron and more

By Andrea Petrou on November 29th, 2011

Victoria Beckham not only won our best dressed award but was also recognised for her talent at the British fashion Awards.

The starlet who turned up in a long black frock, was awarded the Designer Brand award for her brand and the progress it has made.

Meanwhile Alexa Chung who turned up in a silver embellished round neck frock was awarded the British Style award for the second year running.
Kate Moss was also at the event dressed in a questionable mix between a string vest and fishntet type black frock, while Abbey Clancy also made a mistake in an ill fitting cream frock.
Rocking the black dresses were McQueen designer Sarah Burton and Samantha Cameron as well as Kate Hudson who went for a panelled frock.
See the gallery below for all the fashion from the night.

Gisele Bundchen gives birth to a baby boy

By Andrea Petrou on December 10th, 2009

gisele_bundchen.jpgWhile some supermodels were up all night partying at the British Fashion Awards, Gisele Bundchen was probably awake for a completely different reason.

The supermodel and husband Tom Brady have announced the birth of their baby boy who made his entrance into the world on Tuesday.

Making the announcement during a press conference yesterday, Tom referred to the birth as “a wonderful experience” in his life. He said both baby and Gisele were “doing fine” but they couple were still struggling to find a name.

A big congratulations to both.

By Andrea Petrou on December 10th, 2009
British Fashion Awards - Red Carpet Arrivals

Celebrities, models and fashion designers were out in their droves last night to celebrate the 25th annual British Fashion Awards.

The event, which we we’ve been excited about since we reported the shortlist a few weeks ago, took place in London’s Royal Courts of Justice and this year played host to more British designers than ever before.

As we would expect, it was also attended by Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Claudia Schiffer as well as one of our favourite designers Matthew Williamson.

Christopher Bailey the Collection of the Year award, while model de jour Georgia Jagger scooped Model of the Year and there was also good news for Kate Moss who won the public voted London 25 Award.

There was also happiness from Grace Coddington who was given the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and Katie Hillier was crowned Accessory Designer of the Year.

We also think a huge congratulations are in order for Burberry, which won Designer Brand of the year and Christopher Bailey who was awarded British Designer of the Year.

During his acceptance speech, Bailey also revealed that Burberry would display creations during February’s London Fashion Week: “London is our home and our global headquarters, and we are thrilled to be showing again in this, our magnificent and creative city,” he said.

Daisy Lowe fronts Esprit’s SS2010 collection

By Andrea Petrou on December 1st, 2009

Daisy.jpgDaisy Lowe’s week seems to be getting better and better. Not only has she been nominated as Model of the Year at this years British Fashion Awards but she’s also been snapped up as the face of Esprit’s SS2010 range.

The daughter of singer Pearl Lowe and Bush front man Gavin Rossdale, was shot by photographer Barnaby Roper in a car cemetery just outside LA, and we love the casual clothes Daisy is modelling.

Daisy is also joined by Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, the daughter of French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld who will front the Espirit’s casual collection.

British Fashion Awards: Red carpet roundup

By Andrea Thatcher on November 28th, 2007

british%20fashion%20awards.jpgTrue to her exquisite fashion, Agyness Deyn owned the red carpet last night in a black Giles floor-length with ragged train, partially sheer gown at the British Fashion Awards in London. Wearing a single black cuff, she looked amazing from her hair to her toes as she took home the award for model of the year. Kelly Osbourne also looked great in a one-shoulder strap wine-colored satin dress with train. It doesn’t look as good as the champagne dress she wore to the British Television Awards, but it’s a close second. Keep it up, Kelly!
