Friday fashion fracas: Which SATC2 character wins your style vote?

By Andrea Petrou on May 28th, 2010

Over the week we’ve been bringing you each of the Sex and the City 2 characters styles where we have used clips from the film to match up some highstreet alternatives. However, one thing we haven’t done, is get you to tell us who your best dressed SATC2 character is.

Is it Carrie who seems to have an effortless stylish wardrobe full of layered, lose and fitted puff dresses and fears no fashion trend or is it Charlotte who may not be as edgy as the other three but works the structured dress and trouser look amazingly well.

Or perhaps it’s the daring, carefree and downright sexy look Samantha always seems to carry off, whether it’s a tight dress or trouser we think she always looks hot. And then there’s Miranda, who really shone in the SATC2 movie elegantly working her trademark shift dresses and turning these from boring office wear to fashion must have.

Have a look at our mini gallery and then vote and leave your comments below to let us know who wins the Sex and the City 2 style wars.

Leona Lewis to sing on SATC 2 soundtrack

By Andrea Petrou on April 13th, 2010

We know you’re as excited as we are about Sex And The City 2, and we’re even more jittery now that we’ve seen the second official trailer (click here if you missed it).

So imagine our glee when we found out Leona Lewis would be playing a part in the SATC craze. The brit singer and X-Factor winner is rumoured to be singing on the sequel’s main theme song alongside Jennifer Hudson, who Carrie’s assistant Louise in the first film.

“They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the UK and the US.
“It’s perfect for the next SATC film.”

Fab fashion, men and now good music, is there nothing that this film has missed?

ShinyStyle watch: Second official Sex and The City 2 trailer

By Andrea Petrou on April 9th, 2010

A few months ago we bought you the first official trailer for the Sex and the City 2 film, and we know all you true Sex and The City fans out there got goose-bumps.

Well brace yourselves ladies because we’ve got ANOTHER trailer for you.

And this one’s just as good, if dare we say, better than the first, giving us a real insight into what we can expect from the film. And we’re not just talking about the stunning range of clothes.

Judging by what we’ve just seen, it seems Samantha will be giving us plenty of those man hungry moments, while Charlotte continues to play (not so happy?) families.

We won’t give too much more away as we’ll let you watch it for yourselves below.

Let us know if you’re as excited as we are.

We were one of the first to bring you the SATC 2 trailer (if you haven’t seen it click here) and now we’re really pleased to say we’ve managed to get hold of some of the first stills for the film that hits cinemas in May this year.

The pictures, courtesy of New Line Cinema, in association with Home Box Office, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures give us a huge taster of what we can expect to see from the film, and judging by these stills we’re in for a fashion treat.

Dogeared launches Sex and The City 2 necklaces

By Andrea Petrou on January 7th, 2010

Sex and the City Necklaces.jpg

The frenzy surrounding Sex and The City 2 has well and truly begun. Earlier this week we published the official trailer, which made us all giddy with excitement, and it seems other companies are also jumping on the bandwagon.

One such brand is American company Dogeared, which has just launched a range of cute necklaces inspired by Carrie’s and the rest of the characters’ most memorable quotes.

These include charms such as a diamond, stiletto, and the Eiffel tower, on gold or silver chains, which come attached to cards featuring quotes like “I’ve been dating since I was 15. I’m exhausted! Where is he?” and “I’m not afraid of heights.”

Although they might not bag you that Mr Big, We think these kitsch pieces of jewellery, which come wrapped in a black and pink satin pouch, are a perfect gift for a BFF or a treat for yourself.

They will be available later on this year from HBO and Dogeared.

How to quell your “Sex and the City” cravings until the film is released

By Andrea Thatcher on September 7th, 2007

JUDIROSENJUMPER_small.jpg
While we wait for more news of the Sex and the City film (supposedly set to start shooting in New York very, very soon with the full cast back in high-heeled action), supplement your thirst for more outrageous outfits on Carrie and Samantha with Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field’s own Web site. On her site, Field’s blogs, sells clothing and highlights items that fit into one of six categories: Sexpot Style, Rock and Roll, Ghetto Fabulous, Fun & Flirty, Evening Glam, and Downtown Daylook. My favorite piece from her picks was the Judy Rosen Shorts Jumper (US$264), a Ghetto Fabulous look.
