Spring/Summer 2012 trend alert: The orange dress

If you’re looking for that special outfit to brighten up this damp, dull summer then the orange dress may be a perfect option.

Hot on the Prada and D&G summer 2012 catwalks, this hue is great for brightening up any day.

Take a leaf out of Demi Lovato’s book and go for a skater style dress teamed with a biker jacket for a 50s inspired daytime look or copy Katie Holmes’ simple frock for an evening event.

Paris Fashion Week AW 2012: Fatima Lopes

With the Oscars taking over our fashion and beauty brains the past few days, we almost forgot about another huge style event. And that’s of course Paris Fashion Week.

Opening its doors as London Fashion Week closed, we can’t wait to see what’s on offer and judging by the few shows we’ve seen we know we’re going to be in for a few treats.

First on our fashion radar is Fatima Lopes who sent her models down the aw 2012 catwalk in a nod to the 80s fetish scene.

Tight PVC and leather dresses formed the main part of the collection, whilst blazer dresses, jumpsuits and baggy harem pants added to the fierceness of this range. Colours were vibrant with reds being a key hue. It was however toned down through the use of creams, blacks and browns.
