It’s definitely a month for celebrity and charity collaborations and next on the bandwagon is soul singer Mary J Blige.

The singer has teamed up with designer friend Catherine Malandrino to launch a T-shirt collection called FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino.

According to WWD, the collection features tunics with hand-painted messages such as “I’m Free” and “I’m Power.” and a percentage of all sales will benefit FFAWN, the Foundation for the Achievement of Women Now charity set up by Ms J Blige started 2008.

Mary told WWD: “Catherine has been a dear friend of mine for years and, after she learned about FFAWN and our mission, she offered to create a T-shirt collection that would celebrate being women, being strong and being free. These are not your average T-shirts.”

Victoria and David Beckham design t-shirts for Sports Relief

By Andrea Petrou on January 20th, 2010

Becks.jpgThe Beckhams are rarely out of the media spotlight.

Victoria always makes a fashion story, and David, well lets be honest who wouldn’t want to hear about him at every opportunity?

However, this time we really think the couple deserve a spot on the fashion news pages.

The duo are designing a range of t-shirts for this years Sports Relief.
And it seems as though the whole family has got involved, not only will each t-shirt feature the Beckhams for Sport Relief logo it will also have a combination of the footprints of each family member, and one style features a picture of David showcasing his football skills.

At leat £5 from the T-shirts, which will be sold at Sainsbury’s and TK Maxx, for £9.99, will go to charity.

Designer t-shirts for amazing prices at eco pop-up shop

By lotte on November 13th, 2009

Luella enviro foundation tee.jpgIf you’ve already decided to buy the Pixie Lott designed t-shirt, why not carry on the good deeds and go on a charity tee roll? Designer t-shirts are definitely having their moment right now, as a number of fashion houses have been producing their take on the normally cheap classic. But as these versions usually cost at least £60 (right now, for example, you can get this very cool Marc by Marc tee for £65, while this similarly brilliant See by Chloe number will set you back a mere £105), it’s usually better value to head to your local Urban Outfitters for a cheap and cheerful graphic tee.

The charity-designer collaboration is a classic one, and this time around it’s the Environmental Justice Foundation that’s launching a pop-up boutique in London’s Carnaby Street. Open from today for just two weeks, all t-shirts cost £30, and with designs by Luella (pictured), Giles Deacon and Richard Nicoll, we’d highly recommend getting down there as soon as possible – the tees are on sale only until they sell out!

Pixie Lott designs a charity t-shirt for Moschino

By Andrea Petrou on November 13th, 2009

pixie-lott-moschino-1258066644.jpgOver the past few months we’ve reported on a number of collaborations between celebrities and high street stores, who joined to design various ranges for charity.

Next to do her good deed is Pixie Lott. Not content with designing a charity t-shirt for River Island, the popstarlet has gone back to the design board, this time teaming up with Moschino to design a limited edition T-shirt.

Her grey tee features a graffiti design of lyrics from her songs and all profits made will be donated to the Perthes Association, a charity that supports families and children suffering from Perthes’ disease and The Italia Conti Trust.

The T-shirt will available exclusively on the Moschino virtual boutique from mid November and we think the £85 price tag is more than worth it.
