Katie Price has attacked Cheryl Cole’s sense of style

By emilyborrett on September 7th, 2011

Katie Price has slagged off Cheryl Cole’s sense of style in her new magazine, “Katie”. Excuse me while I split my sides laughing. Oh goodness, where do I even begin..

The failed fashion designer, model, novelist and singer has now turned her hand to running her own magazine “Katie” – which apparently includes bitchy commentary about other celebrities, and right now Cheryl Cole is in the firing line for that colour-blocked orange and purple outfit that she wore during her brief stint as a judge for the US X Factor.

Katie furiously (ghost)wrote about Cheryl’s admittedly bad fashion choices: “The whole thing is absolutely hideous. I don’t know who’s responsible for the outfit and the horrific hair but I hope Cheryl sacked them. It looks like she’s put on weight.” Madam Price, I am sorry but you are the last person who can talk about horrific hair.

The ex page three girl also slammed Cheryl’s bandmate Nicola Roberts for her fashion choices. “She always gets it wrong. She is trying to be unique but she doesn’t have the confidence to carry it off.” Katie, you can’t carry anything off.

The whole thing is a little bit ridiculous, and the only words that came to mind when I read this gossip was “Pot. Kettle. Black.” Am I right?

“Love and Other Drugs” star Anne Hathaway admits that Oscars criticism was “tough”

By emilyborrett on April 8th, 2011

We’ve always had a soft spot for Anne Hathaway here at ShinyStyle – sweet, modest and down to earth, she’s just the right kind of star that we’d all love to be best friends with. Which is why hearing her speak out about how it felt to recieve so much criticism over her performance at the Oscars made us want to make her a cup of Horlicks and give her a big cuddle.

The lovely doe-eyed actress had to present the opening of the Oscars with heartthrob actor James Franco, and their back-and-forth banter was awkward to say the least (you can see the video here) – though we think that the actress did the best she could with the awful lines she was given, bless her, and was a real trooper about it, others have heavily criticised both the actress and the producers for her clumsy, not-particularly-funny presenting style. I suppose it’s a hard act to follow when Ricky Gervais is your predecessor..

Poor old Anne finally spoke out about her experiences at the Oscars on the Today show: “The critics were tough. They said we were the worst show ever. I think that qualifies as tough.” When asked if she’d do it again, the actress replied, “Maybe. Perhaps. No.” We’ll take that as a definite no, the poor duck.

Don’t worry Anne, we still love you!
