Scissor cuff from Toy Me

Once, in the parking lot of a Dairy Queen while on a mission trip with the Tennessee Outreach Project, I created a cuff out of two run-of-the-mill forks and fell in love with it. The cool thing, I felt, was that you could create completely different pieces by using completely different forks.
Well, this scissor cuff from Toy Me kind of reminds me of that experiment. Check out the images over at NOTCOT.com where we discovered the piece to see how it actually opens, as well.
There’s definitely something a little bit edgy about wearing a cutting tool on your wrist. Dreamed up by Paris designer Thomas Jaillot and Marco De Michelis, the cuff is part of an upcoming Toy Me collection to be presented next week.

I really like Nelly Furtado’s goddess-esque style at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich last Thursday. The gold studded neckline and extra thin gold belt at the waist spiced up this chocolate dress with high-shine glamor to make it very on-trend. Nelly just glows of radiance–her hair and makeup are perfect and she has just the right touch of accessories. She swapped a necklace, which would’ve been too much with that hardware neckline, for gold chandelier earrings, cuff and studded and gold bracelets. And I love her shoes! The bronzed peep-toe stiletto heels with strap swirling up her ankle and buckle detail are super sexy and coordinate with the ensemble beautifully.
When you’re anxious to finish off an outfit with minimal fuss–but just the right touch–a jeweled cuff affords the perfect opportunity to forego the bangles and create a bold and dazzling look with one simple piece. Cuffs are a staple this fall and winter, especially with the season’s short sleeve turtlenecks, 3/4-sleeve minidresses, and cropped blazers that allow for a few pieces of arm candy.
