The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star threw a huge bash at her Hollywood Hills home over the weekend to mark the spooky holiday today (31.10.11) but those living nearby were unimpressed with the noise levels and made a complaint to the authorities.
After having a word with the cops, Drew agreed to keep the noise down and no further action was taken, gossip website TMZ reports.
Drew isn’t the only celebrity to get into the Halloween spirit by throwing a huge bash.
Supermodel Heidi Klum wowed the crowd at her party at Tao Las Vegas by arriving on a gurney in a skinless corpse costume.
Speaking about the ensemble, which needed three-and-a-half hours with a makeup artist to complete, she said: “This is my thirteenth Halloween party this year and I wanted something different. I was thinking how it would look if I had all my skin ripped off, and so…voila!
“We started in July. We started with a body suit that was white. And then, basically, everything had to be hand-painted. Izquierdo used anatomical photos of the human body to accurately render the bones and muscles.”
Drew Barrymore was chosen as the face of Neiman Marcus’ The Art of Fashion campaign because she mixes old Hollywood and modern day glamour.
The actress – who is only the second celebrity to feature in the promotional shots for the department store, following Jennifer Jason Leigh in 1994 – has posed in designs from labels including Akris and Valentino for the new campaign.
Eddie Nunns, vice president of Neiman Marcus brand creative, told WWD: “The shoot tells the story of a star’s transformation. We felt that Drew Barrymore possessed not only the pedigree and glamour of old Hollywood, but also the confidence and spirit of the modern-day woman – much like Neiman Marcus itself.
“She’s a powerful, modern woman with trans-generational appeal. The project beautifully captures the essence of Neiman Marcus’s edits of the fall collections.”
Photographer Norman Jean Roy has taken the pictures which will appear in the September issues of Vogue, Vanity Fair and W.
It’s been a great month for celebrity style, with starlets making huge fashion statements at a range of events, or just out and about.
We’ve had Angelina Jolie at various premiers of Salt, Jennifer Aniston at the premier of The Switch and Billy Piper and Fearne Cotton painting the down vintage in gorgeous frocks.
And it’s not just these stars that have caught our eyes this month. Florence Welch gets a huge nod for her gold little number, which she teamed up with on-trend boots, while Leona Lewis, whose style we sometimes have to question, also caught our eye in a green structured dress.

Whenever a hot celebrity hits the London streets we get a little tingle of excitement so imagine how we felt when we spotted Drew Barrymore in Covent Garden last night.
The starlet left her hotel to go and meet friends in a casual outfit consisting of ripped jeans, a sheer top and an on-trend biker jacket. She completed the dress down look with lose wavy hair a statement necklace and funky punk belt.
Earlier that day we also spotted Nicola Roberts channelling the A/W aviation jacket must-have, which she teamed up with a tweed skirt.
CoverGirl is a brand we have recently been associated with America’s Next Top Model after Tyra Banks tells the contenders every single week that one of their prizes will be a contract with the brand.
However, it seems that a CoverGirl model is more than just a NTM, she’s also a celebrity too.
Joining the celebrity CoverGirl brigade, which currently includes Rihanna and Drew Barrymore, is Taylor Swift who has described her new role as “a dream come true.”
Swift has just finished shooting her first ads, which will debut in January, and she will represent a new line of luxury products for the brand.
“I am so excited to become the next CoverGirl,” the singer said. “I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl . . . great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves. It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl.”
We’ve showcased a few trends from last night’s Golden Globes for you, including pastels, belted dresses, and dark clors. But now it’s my turn to show you what I just plain loved.
Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange were clearly already in character for the turn as Big Edie and Little Edie in the remake of Grey Gardens last night at the Golden Globes. Here, in one of their more lucid red-carpet interviews, they discuss making the film.
Dark hues may have been the choice for many starlets, but the Golden Globes were also awash with pastels too. Anyone might have thought it was spring by the way some celebs wore their pretty pale colours. Nudes, soft pinks, pale yellows and blues dominated as the likes of Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek took their turns in front of the cameras. [Photos: Jim Smeal/BEI/Rex Features]

While we wait for pictures from the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards to pour in (and pour they will!) we’re going to keep you company liveblogging who is wearing what.

The actress was recently seen out and about wearing this statement necklace by Fiona Paxton. We love the swingy silver strands and can’t imagine what they’d do for a LBD if they look so cool with a rocker T.
The necklace is available at debut, in New York City for $270.
