Rodarte the second ever US design team nominated for prestigious Swiss Textiles Award

Sure, sure, we’ve got Olympic fever. But design awards are more our kind of international competition. Today, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte became only the second ever US design team to be nominated for the Swiss Textiles award.
The award is particularly coveted because of a 100,000 euro prize purse, which any growing designer would love to get their hands on.
The prize will be awarded in November in Zurich, and is notoriously difficult to predict. Other nominees include Richard Nicoll, Cathy Pill, TOGA, Louise Goldin, and Jean-Pierre Braganza.
