Lady Gaga’s Versace vow
Lady Gaga is only going to wear Versace clothes for the next two months.
The ‘Born This Way’ singer has become obsessed with the fashion house’s garments, both new and vintage, and has decided to exclusively style herself in the clothes.
Speaking at the Schlosshotel Bensberg in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, Gaga – who was wearing a floor-length, low-cut Versace dress and latex gloves – told BANG Showbiz: “Right now what I’m wearing is an archive Gianni Versace. This was never seen before. It is a dress that was made before he died. And actually I’m wearing only Versace for like the next two months. I’m having a love affair with Donatella.”
Gaga – who is in the European country to perform on the final of ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’, which is hosted by Heidi Klum, tonight (09.06.11) – is known for her outrageous outfits, but she insists she feels more comfortable when she is nude.
She said: “I sometimes feel naked with clothes on. Sometimes I feel less naked with no clothes. Does that make any sense? I feel quite comfortable in my underwear or in see thorough things.”
The 25-year-old pop superstar admits she does sometimes go too far with her outfits, but she doesn’t let that stop her from being experimental because fashion should be fun above everything else.
When asked if she ever regrets any of her outfits, she said: “All the time. But that’s part of the fun of it. You know, I always try to get dressed with a little bit of humour. It’s not about being sexy or being just, I guess, attractive. It’s about having fun.”
Daisy Lowe had a weight meltdown
Daisy Lowe had “meltdowns” about feeling like a “massive tree trunk”.
The 22-year-old beauty says it has taken her several years to be comfortable with her curvaceous figure and though she knows she isn’t fat, Daisy admits she can’t help but feel big next to slimmer models.
She said: “It has taken me seven years to get to the point where I can be comfortable with not being as thin as the rest of them.
“The public can say, ‘It’s really cool that you’re not conforming to this anorexic ideal’, but then I still have to go and stand next to all of the other girls. I’m not saying that I am big, but when you stand next to a beanpole, you’re going to look like a massive tree trunk.
“Literally, it’s only in the past six months that I’ve come to terms with it. Before then…it was hard. I used to have private meltdowns all the time.”
The stylish star – whose parents are fashion designer Pearl Lowe and rocker Gavin Rossdale – also admitted when she isn’t working, she loves to wear the clothes of her actor boyfriend Matt Smith, particularly when he is away filming as they make her feel closer to him.
She told the July issue of InStyle magazine: “He dresses really well. I love his style.”
Eliza Doolittle will never have plastic surgery
Eliza Doolittle would never have plastic surgery.
The 23-year-old singer says her mother taught her to be “confident with what they’ve got” and wouldn’t change the “dangly” legs she insured for £10 million.
She said: “I really don’t think plastic surgery is a good idea. People who’ve had it done don’t look younger or better, they just look like they’ve had plastic surgery. My mum taught me that bodies are bodies, and they come in all shapes and sizes – we should be free about that.
“My legs are a bit dangly and my knees point inwards. Everyone has insecurities, but I try not to focus on them. It’s important to be confident with what you’ve got.”
Eliza also admitted she doesn’t think twice about stripping off at the beach on holiday to flaunt the body which has landed her a modelling contract with Nike.
She added to more! magazine: “I like getting a tan, so if I’m lying on the beach I want to get as much skin out as possible.
“I’m thinking of somewhere hot and yummy in Europe. We’ll get a 16-person villa in a cool location and just have an amazing time.”
Kim Kardashian finds her signature look
Kim Kardashian has found her signature look.
The reality TV star – who is famed for her curvy figure and sexy dress sense – says she now knows what looks good on her and doesn’t really change her fashion choices.
She said: “When I moved to New York from Los Angeles, people thought my look would change, but I know what works for me and I’m sticking with it. I’ve been trying out the no make-up look, though. I get it – it’s very ‘fashion’.”
Kim – who recently got engaged to basketball star Kris Humphries – says she is “obsessed” by beauty and loves using lots of make-up to transform herself.
She told Style magazine: “I’m obsessed with beauty. I love the transformation. To get big eyes I use Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow, Lancome mascara and Mac Lash strips fro added drama. Before I apply foundation, I use Bare Escentuals shimmer powder to get a powder glow. I also wear my signature scent Kim Kardashian, which is really light.”

Suri Cruise’s shoe collection worth over £100,000
Suri Cruise’s shoe collection is worth over £100,000.
The five-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has reportedly had several pairs of high-heeled footwear specially-made for her and already has favourite designers.
A source said: “Suri has so many designer shoes.
“She’s a massive fan of Marc Jacobs and she’s had several shoes custom-made, so if they didn’t come with a heel, Katie had them redesigned for Suri. She commissioned a pair of Louboutins for her a while back!”
Suri is said to insist on only wearing high heels and her famous father is happy to indulge her tastes.
The insider added to Britain’s Star magazine: “The older she gets, the less she wants to wear anything but little heels.
“Even when she’s going to play dates or walking on the beach, she cries if Katie reaches for anything but a little pair of sandals with some sort of heel. She literally cries, ‘No, Mama, no!’ And then points to whatever pair she feels like wearing – no matter how inappropriate!”
“Tom loves seeing his little girl dressed up so girlie and cute. He encourages her to wear frilly dresses and tiny heels. He says Suri is growing up to be as fashionable as her mum.
“Everything’s pink. She’s a young girl who knows what she wants.”
However, Katie is said to be getting tired of her daughter’s requests – particularly as she also insists on selecting outfits for her parents.
The source said: “It’s hard keeping up with a growing girl. Suri sometimes picks out the shoes her mum should wear, and then picks out shoes for her dad.
“They genuinely seem to value her opinion and want her to make her own decisions.”

Cheryl Cole set to make a return to the US ‘X Factor’
Cheryl Cole is set to make a return to the US ‘X Factor’.
The 27-year-old singer – who was sensationally sacked from the talent series last month – has seen Fox TV bosses make a U-turn in their decision to axe her from the judging panel after show chief Simon Cowell persuaded network executives to give her another chance.
While the reason Cheryl was axed from the panel is believed to be down to worries over her strong North-East England accent and lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul, bosses are reportedly concerned they’ve made a “big mistake” after watching footage of the brunette beauty at the auditions.
With the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker expected to return to the show when the auditions start again in New Jersey on Wednesday (08.06.11), Nicole Scherzinger – who was believed to have taken over from Cheryl on the panel alongside Paula, Simon and L.A. Reid – will return to her role as co-host.
An insider told the News of the World newspaper: “This is the biggest surprise of the lot – Cheryl is back. Who could possibly have predicted this – it appeared that Simon had dumped Cheryl for good?
“But behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl. And key executives at Fox all realised they had made a big mistake. They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realised that she could be a huge star over there.”
Cheryl’s previous contract with Fox will reportedly be upheld, with the star continuing with the auditions and returning for the twice weekly live shows in the autumn.

Jessie J thinks she is “unusual-looking”
Jessie J thinks she is “unusual-looking”.
The ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker – who revealed earlier this year that she hates being recognised – does not rate herself as being “classically pretty”, and has taken “a long time” to feel confident about her body.
She said: “I’ve never really thought of myself as anything. I don’t think I’m classically pretty, I think I’m unusual-looking.”
“I had my teeth whitened just before the Brits. Being a singer, people are always taking pictures of my mouth, and I thought it would be nicer for people to look at white and not yellow teeth!
“It’s taken me a long time to feel confident in my body. I had to get used to the fact that I have no boobs. Now I embrace it. I always get my feet done to make myself feel better even if people can’t see them.
“I was addicted to blusher, but in an unhealthy way, where I looked burnt! And I do love a drag-queen eyebrow. I don’t pluck mine, I just tidy them up every now and then.”
The 23-year-old ‘Do It Like A Dude’ singer – who admits she could not live without lipstick – explained she looks like a different person on her days off.
She added to Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “I’m totally unrecognisable! I’m happy to expose the fact that I don’t look like I do when I wear makeup. People think as soon as you get signed you look great all the time, but it’s not the case.

Star style spotlight: Jessie Wallace
Our favourite Eastender’s lady made us all very happy when she tumbled back onto Albert Square last year. Not only because she bought along Alfie (or Shane Ritchie) but also because it gave us a chance to laugh at the garish Kat Slater fashions.
And there was an extra treat with Kat being heavily pregnant meaning leopard print skirts and dresses were stretched across a big bump, while bodycon frocks also made an appearance – I actually have one of these maternity numbers shoved at the back of the wardrobe because my OH cast similarities between myself and this soapstar when I proudly modelled it.
However, off screen actress Jessie Wallace is completely different to her fiendish fashion character, opting for long elegant or girly frocks.
She’s a fan of the 50s and Grecian style looks, as well as skyscraper heels. Off the red carpet Jessie is a casual girl at heart with a love of denim and on-trend biker chic – perhaps I’ll go for this look once my bump arrives.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen deliberately distance themselves from celebrity brands.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen deliberately distance themselves from celebrity brands.
The twins – who rose to fame as young children appearing in TV and film stars – have not used their faces or names to promote their fashion brand, The Row as they don’t want it to be labelled a celebrity clothing line.
Mary-Kate said: “We were aware of [the growing trend of] celebrity brands. We were trying to get away from that because we’d already done it with Wal-Mart, and we did it well. We’d been there, we’d done that.”
Ashley, 24, was also adamant about moving the focus away from her and her sister with The Row, so that the focus would solely be on the work they produce.
She added to WWD.com: “I was looking at it as I’m switching careers. I’m no longer going by my face. Who knows what I’ll do in the future, if I act again or if I don’t? My point at the moment was, I’m literally disappearing.
“I’m not going to be in front of the camera. I want to do something created with my hands and with my thoughts. It wasn’t about being a face. It was about being able to create something.”
Mary-Kate has not ruled out ever returning to acting however, saying: “Right now we don’t have the time. I was thinking about this recently. We don’t use that form of expression anymore. But it’s still ingrained in us.”
