Fashion Face Off: Lady Gaga VS Fergie
We never ever thought we’d be writing this, but it seems someone might just be stealing Lady Gaga‘s funky fashion crown – well for performance costumes anyway.
So whose the contender? Black Eyed Pea’s Fergie.
Now we know that stage costumes are usually out of this world (think Rihanna right through to Girls Aloud) and are a perfect way for singers to express themselves, but we think Fergies outfit, complete with Gaga style sharp shoulders, is a hot competitor to Ms G’s look.
And we have to admit Fergie wears the space age silver top, complete with Madonna style bosom cups, really well.
But has she gone far enough to beat Lady Gaga’s Armani Prive designed costumes? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.
Tilda Swinton the latest celeb invited to Costume Institute Gala
From our U.K. sister site, Catwalk Queen.

Tilda Swinton has been invited to attend this year’s highly anticipated Met Costume Institute Ball by Miuccia Prada. The Oscar-winner will join US actress Kate Banks in accompanying the designer to the superhero-themed do.
They are just a few in a long-list of top designers and A-list celebs who will appear at the annual event next month in New York. Titbits about who will be wearing what are beginning to trickle through with other star/designer hook-ups including Liv Tyler and Fergie, who will both be dressed and accompanied by Francisco Costa.

Fergie the new face of Calvin Klein
Hot on the heels of Fergie’s gig as the newest face of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign, come whispers that she has signed on to be a Calvin Klein spokesmodel.
Personally, I can kind of see the MAC association better than the Calvin Klein one. While the singer looked great at the Grammys in one of his designs, the classic minimalist look isn’t usually her signature style statement.
I guess Calvin disagrees because sources at the company have described Fergie as “a perfect fit”, according to OK!. The source said that Fergie is “beautiful and fun and brings a lot to the brand.”
If the rumours are true, the Black Eyed Pea will join Eva Mendes, who has already been signed up for CK’s new fragrance campaign.
It’s great that Calvin Klein is using more ethnic, curvy models as opposed to the pale waifs of yore, but it might take a little while for the fashion community to adjust to the switch.
Grammy Awards: The color guard – Corinne Bailey Rae, Natasha Bedingfield, Rihanna and Fergie
Spring brights were blooming at the Grammy Awards tonight, with several songstresses donning bold color. Corinne Bailey Rae wore a short, electric blue frock, as did Rihanna in Zac Posen. In a violent violet, Natasha Bedingfield seems to be enjoying her Reem Acra gown. And lastly, Fergie set off her tan with a yellow Calvin Klein number.

Fergie and Taylor Swift announce Grammy noms

Fergie and Taylor Swift were both sporting some sexy legwear as they announced the Grammy Award nominations yesterday. The Black Eyed Peas singer had on some sexy thigh-high boots, while the country crooner sported booties and striped tights. We can expect lots more fashion to come when nominees like Amy Winehouse (record of the year, album of the year), Beyonce (record of the year), and Rihanna (record of the year) rock the red carpet.
LBDs are how they roll at the Movies Rock red carpet

Movies Rock, much like Fashion Rocks, is a celebration of music in film and was held at the Kodak Theatre last night. Singers and actors mingled on the red carpet, while songs from popular movies were performed by the likes of Mary J. Blige, Fergie and Jennifer Lopez. For the blonde stars on the red carpet, it seems that a black dress was the essential item, though in Jennifer Morrison’s case it was a black jumpsuit. Diane Kruger showed off her legs in a strapless black mini dress, accessorised with a silver clutch, red lipstick and black Manolo Blahniks. Alicia Silverstone chose a drop waist handkerchief hem black dress, with Jennifer Morrison choosing a dramatic black jumpsuit with very wide legs. The low-down on Fergie’s unique style
Check out this interview from Guardian Unlimited with Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson on how she wears whatever she feels like. That’s definitely a major part of fashion–dress in clothes you feel comfortable wearing. You don’t always have to play up to the latest trends. If you’ve found something that works for you–then wear it! It’s all a matter of confidence. The more confident you feel in your clothes, the better you’ll look in them. I mean, look at Fergie in a white t-shirt, shorts and black vest. Very simple outfit, right? But she pulls it off–she has such personality, that she makes even a simple tee and shorts look fashionable. And again, performing at a concert, she’s wearing basic Bermuda shorts and a checkered belly shirt, but she spices it up with a hardware-accented belt and black blazer to make it her own funky style. Take a look at Fergie’s designer dress after the jump.
Steven Alan ruffled panties

Fergie has these panties, you say? These Steven Alan ruffle panties are peppy and playful, yet sexy and innocent at the same time. They’re 100% cotton, super comfortable and perfect under a skirt when you’re afraid you might flash someone–get your own pair for $38. I’m getting into the whole ‘more is really more’ thing when it comes to my unmentionables and I’m starting to think that my collection of G-strings may be put into retirement soon if I keep finding cute and sexy full panties like these!
Fug-a-licious

Fergie suffers from a common affliction known to many otherwise pretty girls who decide to dabble in the questionable world of headwear. Is this 80s hat an homage to Boy George in Culture Club? Wearing trends are good. When trends wear you, you know you’ve gone too far. Fergie is a trendazoid who wears about 20 trends at a time, thinking that too much of a good thing is never enough. However, this 80s hat is way too trendy to the point of looking utterly fergidiculous.
