Comparisons are being drawn between Anna Sui’s previous collections, and her forthcoming range for Target. The designer has already cited Gossip Girl as inspiration for her Go International line, but clearly her past runways have also provided a good start. Four dresses from her 2006 and 2007 collections have been modified for her new retail range which is set to land in store on September 13. Most of the items will sell for under $50 (woot!) click here to check out the lookbook.

Target is churning out the designers like clockwork right now – lucky for us!
Two weeks ago we were telling you how the retailer nabbed Brit export Jonathan Saunders for its latest GO International program, and now we’re hearing word that Anya Hindmarch and Sigerson Morrison are also hopping on board.

Erin Fetherston items are trickling onto the Target Web site for purchase, like the $39.99 velvet pants above at right. They seem to be the only thing available for sale right now, but hint of things to come. So if there’s something you really want to get, I’d be checking back every day this week. Some suggestions? The look on the left up top includes the chiffon bunny-print dress, only $44.99. And Gossip Girl fans might notice that the red satin head band in the middle looks a lot like the one Blaire wore in last week’s episode! At $7.99 it’s the perfect way to sample this American in Paris’s romantic look.
And what else does a new Go International collection for Target mean? The Alice Temperley items are on sale. Keep reading for our picks!

Target is on a roll, announcing another fabulous designer for an upcoming collection. First, it was Alice Temperley, then Erin Fetherston (both still to come), now it’s Jovovich-Hawk. Designed by model/actress Milla Jovovich and model Carmen Hawk, the vintage-inspired clothing is worn by fashion trendsetters like Chloe Sevigny and Joy Bryant. Jovovich told the LA Times recently “Our Target line will have all our classic pieces: smock dresses, tunics, minis, all vintage-inspired, great prints,” she said. “To be able to do it with a big company that can afford to do it for a good price so that real girls can afford it. That’s the reason we were interested.” The collection will appear in stores this spring and clothing will retails for about US$35.

London-based designer Alice Temperley first introduced her feminine frocks to the English runway in 2003. By the time she debuted in New York in the spring of 2006 she already had a following in America. For her Target Go International collection coming to stores September 16th, Temperley created interpretations of her fall 2007 ready-to-wear collection, using the same gray, black, white, and blue palette, high Victorian necklines, and floppy bow accents, while making the clothing more everyday wearable and, of course, a lot more affordable.

Joining past designers Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, and most recently Libertine, Erin Fetherston has been announced by Target as the next designer for their Go International collection. Fetherston is known for her girly dresses and cute accents like ruffles and bows, and she brings these trademarks to her Target collection. The clothing is very ‘little Parisian girl’ with Peter Pan collars, ruffle accents, and an oversize heart handbag. The American-born, Parsons Paris-educated designer’s collection won’t debut until November (Alice Temperley’s Target line comes first), so for now we’ll just have to ooh and aah over the pictures from the Target pressroom.
