Grammy Awards: Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood was all sweet sophistication on the Grammy Awards red carpet, before changing into a much more dominatrix-inspired getup for her performance. A performance which was, by the way, one of the few we didn’t mute. Though we thought about it. Carrie was plenty loud on the red carpet in this pretty Zuhair Murad gown. The close-ups show you how truly beautiful this fun floral really is.

Grammy Awards: Alicia Keys in Armani

The stiff satin, dark hue and intricate pleating of Alicia Keys’ Armani Grammy red carpet dress are very on-trend with the fall 2008 runway shows we just witnessed. Keys went for a more covered up gown on the red carpet, changing into something a bit more revealing for her performance later. The back is clearly the star of this dress, while the front looked a bit awkward on Keys’ curves. It looks much more flattering in this photo than it did on the E! telecast (speaking of awkward).
