Tyra Banks gets up three hours early so she has time to work out and put on her make-up.

By Andrea Petrou on March 16th, 2011

Tyra Banks gets up three hours early so she has time to work out and put on her make-up.

The 37-year-old model-and-television presenter is currently studying at Harvard Business School and admitted she rises at 4.45am in order to get ready to meet her study group at 7.30am every morning.

She explained: “I have to work out and eat breakfast beforehand and get ready and be a female. But in the end, I never would have had it any other way. I have made life-long friends among my classmates.”

Meanwhile the busy entrepreneur has today (15.03.11) launched her own beauty and style website, TypeF, where women can input their vital statistic and every time they log on, are greeted with content matched to their physical characteristics

Tyra explained to USA Today: “We decided to keep a blank slate for women to fill in what that F means to them. It’s done with humor and fun. It’s a very specific voice. TypeF is saying, ‘No, you are good enough. You deserve to wear that trend too.’”

Fashionable fitness clothing and footwear

By Andrea Petrou on December 9th, 2009

I’ve become a bit of a health fanatic since I started my 7 day detox and with the New Year closing in as quickly as you’re other halves wallet when he sees the £500 bag you want, I’m sure you will too soon embark on one of those resolutions you drunkenly blurted out.

For many the turkey and mince pie fuelled Christmas will be the catalyst for “I’ll join the gym”, where we’ll sign up in January with good intentions, which we hope will continue.

To add to your motivation we’ve put together a gallery of fashionable fitness clothing making you look like a trendsetter on the treadmill.

Write a review about spas and gyms for Wahanda and help charity

By Andrea Petrou on October 16th, 2009

spa.jpgIf you fancy yourself as a bit of a budding writer, then log onto Wahanda now.

The site, which lists a range of information on spas, gyms and beauty therapists, is asking people to tell others about their experiences of spas.

However, unlike other companies, the site is also doing its bit for charity. It’s teamed up with Charity:Water, which helps provide clean and safe drinking water to deprived communities around the world.

For every review you write of spas, salons, gyms and everywhere else, Wahanda will give £1 to help fund a Charity:Water project.

All you need to do is register for a free Wahanda account, find any spas, salons, or gyms you’ve visited, and write a review.
