It looks like the television stars were told to arrive at the Screen Actor’s Guild awards early, so we’re still waiting for a lot of the big movie nominees to step out of their limos. So here’s what a lot of TV’s loveliest ladies are wearing and a few movie stars too!
Jennifer Morrison (nominee, ensemble drama cast for House) – Ann Valerie Hash
Katrina Bowden (nominee, ensemble comedy cast for 30 Rock) – Christian Siriano – what up Project Runway!
Melissa Leo (nominee, female lead actor for Frozen River) – vintage/Bulgari/Judith Leiber
Holly Hunter (nominee, female actor drama for Saving Grace) – Reem Acra
Jane Krakowski - (nominee, ensemble comedy cast for 30 Rock) – Roberto Cavalli – which she knows because she was texting “her people” as she arrived and the cameras caught her!
Emily Blunt (presenter) – beautiful slinky silver number which the E! hosts failed to ask her to identify, we’re working on it! But she did mention that it was like full body Spanx.
America Ferrera (female actor comedy for Ugly Betty) – Vera Wang

Here at ShinyStyle and across the pond at our U.K. sister site Catwalk Queen we are eagerly anticipating the award season. And last night it officially kicked off with the People’s Choice Awards at the Shrine Auditorium. Overall, The Dark Knight was the big winner of the night scooping a total of five awards. But who really gives a rats about the gongs when there is so much to gawk at on the red carpet. Stars in attendance included Carrie Underwood, Paris Hilton, Kate Hudson, and a witchy-looking Teri Hatcher. To see what we’re talking about, click on the image below to begin our celebrity fashion gallery.
P.S. Make sure to pencil in the Golden Globes next Sunday, when we’ll bring you all the latest style direct from the red carpet. Until then!

The number one place to be on Monday night was at the opening of the new D&G flagship store in Los Angeles. Dolce & Gabbana certainly have some fine young thangs for pals, inviting a plethora of young Hollywood stars to their glitzy bash on Robertson Blvd. The opening also doubled as a charity event, to raise funds for The Art of Elysium – a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children. Among the high-profile guests were Rachel Bilson, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Lauren Conrad, Rumer Willis, and Paris and Nicky Hilton. We have all the red carpet pics of what they wore – check out our special gallery!

There was a glittering red carpet in L.A. last night, even if it didn’t lead to the Golden Globes. The Art of Elysium’s “Heaven: Celebrating 10 Years” anniversary gala was held and many stars turned out in glamorous frocks.
Rachel Bilson and Ali Larter chose to wear white, and it’s refreshing to see two young stars wear white with such youthful freshness and not look like they’re going down the aisle. Bilson wore a long white silk gown, while Larter chose a dropped waist 1920s style down with spaghetti straps, adorned with a flow at the waist.

Movies Rock, much like Fashion Rocks, is a celebration of music in film and was held at the Kodak Theatre last night. Singers and actors mingled on the red carpet, while songs from popular movies were performed by the likes of Mary J. Blige, Fergie and Jennifer Lopez. For the blonde stars on the red carpet, it seems that a black dress was the essential item, though in Jennifer Morrison’s case it was a black jumpsuit. Diane Kruger showed off her legs in a strapless black mini dress, accessorised with a silver clutch, red lipstick and black Manolo Blahniks. Alicia Silverstone chose a drop waist handkerchief hem black dress, with Jennifer Morrison choosing a dramatic black jumpsuit with very wide legs. Click on over to Catwalk Queen to see whos look Helen liked best.
