Jessica Biel’s top beauty tip is to use soap and water.

The ‘Total Recall’ actress has famously great skin, but said her routine for keeping herself looking so good is extremely simple.

She told bellasugar.com: “One piece of advice was from my friend’s beautiful French mother who literally only ever washed her face with Dove soap and water.

“So I’ve heard that bit of beauty advice, and then of course – sleep, water, hydrate!”

However, Jessica does wear make-up and likes to graduate the amount she wears throughout the day.

She added: “I like to be practical and to wear something that’s not going to fade so I can go to a business meeting and still look professional but not over the top.”

“And then when I’m going out at night, what I like to do lately is a smudged line right under the eye and right along the lash line.”

Jessica – who recently split from long term boyfriend Justin Timberake – also recently appeared in a Revlon mascara advert directed by Darren Aronofsky, which co-stars hip hop star Pharrell Williams.

In the black and white 60-second ad, which features her on a bed in a high-end hotel, and putting on the Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara just as rapper-and-producer Pharrell enters into the room.
