Here at ShinyStyle and across the pond at our U.K. sister site Catwalk Queen we are eagerly anticipating the award season. And last night it officially kicked off with the People’s Choice Awards at the Shrine Auditorium. Overall, The Dark Knight was the big winner of the night scooping a total of five awards. But who really gives a rats about the gongs when there is so much to gawk at on the red carpet. Stars in attendance included Carrie Underwood, Paris Hilton, Kate Hudson, and a witchy-looking Teri Hatcher. ShinyStyle Gallery: D&G L.A. opening attracts Tinsel Town’s starlets

The number one place to be on Monday night was at the opening of the new D&G flagship store in Los Angeles. Dolce & Gabbana certainly have some fine young thangs for pals, inviting a plethora of young Hollywood stars to their glitzy bash on Robertson Blvd. The opening also doubled as a charity event, to raise funds for The Art of Elysium – a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children. Among the high-profile guests were Rachel Bilson, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Lauren Conrad, Rumer Willis, and Paris and Nicky Hilton. Well, the phenomenon that is the new generation of 90210 is apon us. And look at that, Shannon Doherty still looks like she’d cut your throat for a lip gloss.

The gang gathered, no not at the Peach Pit, but in Malibu for a party to laud the show’s permiere on September 2. In possible stunt-dressing Jenni Garth wore white (get it, she’s the good girl) and Doherty wore black.
