Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp turn up for Chanel party in Cannes

Day seven of the Cannes Film Festival saw a huge range of events. But one that really stands out to us here at ShinyStyle in the Chanel Party, which was of course hosted by Karl Lagerfeld.
And it came as no surprise that Vanessa Paradis was the guest of honour. The model who turned up with hubby Johnny Depp, looked stunnng in a black backless dress and shoes andkept it casual with minimal make-up and loose hair.
Vanessa is fronting the new Coco Coccon collection for the brand this year, but it’s not the first time she’s been associated with Chanel.
The actress has frequently chosen to walk the red carpet dressed in ChanelL, and in 2004 Karl made her the ambassadress of the “Ligne Cambon” handbag range. The following year, the designer asked her to pose again, this time for the “New Mademoiselle” bags.

Robert Pattinson gets wax model at Madame Tussauds

We don’t usually focus all our attentions on a man, but since it’s Friday and the man in question is Robert Pattinson, we know you’ll agree that a story all about him is entirely justified.
The Twilight star and all round heart throb has achieved the ultimate celebrity endorsement and made it into the wax work haven of Madame Tussauds. His wax work replica will take place in the VIP hall alongside Johnny Depp and George Clooney.
Liz Edwards, a representative for Madame Tussauds, said: ‘R-Patz is one of the hottest celebs on the planet. We are delighted to be able to give them the chance to cosy up with their idol here at Madame Tussauds and judging by the reactions of the first to meet him here this morning he is set to top our most-kissed list of celebrities very quickly!’

Keith Richards for Louis Vuitton?

Keith Richards is no stranger to magazine covers, but fashion ad campaigns? WWD is reporting rumors that Richards recently posed for a Louis Vuitton ad in New York.
While he may be more ubiquitous in music magazines, like the cover of Rolling Stone with Johnny Depp, above, Richards has his fair share of fashion connections. His wife is model and one-time Vogue covergirl Patti Hansen.
His daughters Theodora and Alexandra Richards have followed in Mom’s footsteps and are probably more recognizable to today’s young fashion pack than Keith himself – until now.
We foresee dark lighting and beautiful photography like the Gorbachev ads.

So, it seems that Jean Paul Gaultier has been very inspired by the recent pirate explosion, made popular by Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean. With an array of styles featuring camouflage, pirate hats, military jackets, and lacy captain’s brides, this was surely a voyage to remember. Gaultier also completely ignored the smoking ban, having many of his models puffing on pipes or strutting the catwalk, long white cigarettes in hand.
