The girls turn up for the Sex and The City 2 premier

New York was alight with heels, bright frocks and a buzz of excitement as the world premier of Sex and The City 2 took place at the Radio City Music Hall. The film, which will be hitting UK screens on Friday (as if you didn’t know) was attended by celebs including Jennifer Love Hewitt and singer Ashanti, but if we’re being honest it wasn’t them we were interested in.

It was of course the four lovely leading ladies. And we’re pleased to say they didn’t disappoint. SJP turned up in a naturally flamboyant canarry yellow frock by Valentino Couture, which she spent most of the night holding, before changing into a black dress with a sheer lace top and netted pleated tea length skirt. She teamed this up with on-trend turquoise and black heels.

Kristin Davies used the night to showcase a strapless fuscia ruffled frock by Jean Dresses before going glitzy in a short silver mirrored frock for the after party and Cynthia Nixon went classy in a black beaded Carolina Herrera number. And of course Kim didn’t let the side down turning up to both events in a gold low neck beaded Naeem Khan number complete with 50s style hair.

If the ladies are channelling the styles from the film we won’t be disappointed.
