Maybe it’s the expectation of carefree days requiring nary a gadget or umbrella in sight that leads to buying purses only big enough for a wallet and some sunglasses.

Designer Pick of the Week: Dolce & Gabbana framed leather handbag

This Dolce & Gabbana framed leather handbag is technically part of their spring offerings, but I love it for fall. The soft brown sort of modernizes the gray tones we’ve been seeing and the black trim makes it a neutral fit for any outfit. Though, at $2,175 I doubt anyone who could afford it would be caught dead in a spring ’08 bag next fall. More like spring ’09.

One thing that makes me dry heave? The thought of people wearing it with the matching shoes!
