Kate Moss offers Mark Ronson’s mum fashion advice at his wedding to Josephine de la Baume

By Andrea Petrou on October 3rd, 2011

Kate Moss offered Mark Ronson’s mother fashion advice at his wedding earlier this month.

The musician married model Josephine de la Baume in France recently and his mum Anne Dexter-Jones revealed style icon Kate was insistent she wear her Saint Laurent bronze platform shoes at all time because they completed her look.

She told New York Magazine: “I was wearing Saint Laurent bronze platform shoes, and it was in the countryside, so it wasn’t a dance floor, and I kept kicking them off.

“And Kate Moss, sweetly, on many occasions that night, helped me put them on again to get up and down. She said to me, ‘Ann, you have got to put your shoes on. It finishes the outfit.’”

Kate wasn’t the fashion conscious person at the wedding, Mark wore a candy-striped three-piece suit and a white shirt while the bride was stunning in an ivory, off-the-shoulder Zac Posen gown embellished with pearls and a cropped veil.

Other guests included Mark’s clothes designer sister Charlotte Ronson, model Irina Lazareanu and pop-star turned designer Lily Allen.

Josephine De La Baume finds Agent Provocateur undies “empowering”

By emilyborrett on August 15th, 2011

Josephine De La Baume has spoken out about her experience fronting an Agent Provocateur campaign – and the French superbeauty loved it.

Josephine, who is an actress/model and also the gorgeous fiancée of Mark Ronson, found that doing the raunchy AP photoshoot made her feel sexy, powered and confident, as she felt that the lingerie that she modelled showed off the best parts of her figure.

She said: “I worked closely with Johan Renck, the director, so it felt like a collaboration. People say these brands objectify women, but I think Agent Provocateur is empowering. The clothes help you to carry your body with pride.”

I’d like to feel empowered with a little help from Agent Provocateur, but I can’t even afford a G-string from there – lucky old Josephine probably got to keep lots of knickers from the shoot. Looks like it’s empowered in Primark for me then..

Oopsy daisy: Mark Ronson accidentally gives away all of his clothes to charity

By Andrea Petrou on September 28th, 2010

By Emily Borrett.

Mark Ronson must be feeling pretty cheesed off right now (and nowhere near as smug as he does in this photo) about the silly blunder that he confessed to in an interview with The Independent – he accidentally gave away all of his clothes to charity. That’s like my worst nightmare.

As he’s well-known for his love for menswear and sharp suits, of course he’d be asked to donate a few bits and bobs to an auction in the name of charity. But it all went horribly wrong when he asked his friends to sort it out for him while he was away.

It should have been simple – his friends showed him via webcam some items from his wardrobe, and Ronson OK’d the ones that he wouldn’t miss too much. But it seems that his friends got a wee bit carried away, as when the producer returned, he was gobsmacked to find that his wardrobe was completely bare.

He said on the clothing catastrophe: “I was in London so I had him on iChat holding up the suits to the camera. I would say ‘Yeah, that one, that one and that one.’ Then when I got home I opened the wardrobe and I was like ‘F**k, there’s nothing left!’”

Never mind Marky. For us little folk it would be an absolute disaster, but you’re rich so you can have loads of fun shopping for a brand new wardrobe. I’m actually a little bit jealous.

Kate Moss expected at Topshop U.S. opening

By Kimberley Foster on March 24th, 2009

katemoss_hollywoodmove.jpgAfter countless delays and months of setbacks, (“a logistical nightmare,” according to Sir Philip Green), we are now thismuchcloser to the opening of Topshop USA.

Not only that, Page Six reports that Kate Moss is expected to attend the grand opening on 1st April, at the flagship store in New York’s SoHo district.

It’s no surprise considering her collection is already being stocked and waiting for mass consumer assumption inside the store. Indeed, she gets her own special boutique, which will soon stock her new lingerie line.

New York Fashion Week: Lindsay and Samantha at Charlotte Ronson Fall 2009

By Andrea Thatcher on February 13th, 2009

Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan fashion week.jpg

Unfortunately, her famous family (and their significant others) remains the best thing about Charlotte Ronson’s fashion line, as far as I can tell. Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan were on hand for the fall 09 collection, as were Mark Ronson and The Like drummer Tennessee Thomas. The clothing was sort of amateurish styling of Marc Jacobs parodies. I did like the floral print used, and the floral shirt dress after the jump was one of the pieces I enjoyed from the show.

Hot ‘n’ heavy in New York, splitsville in London: Mark Ronson and Daisy Lowe call it quits

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on September 15th, 2008

What a difference a fashion week makes. Catwalk Queen was sad to hear that Daisy Lowe and Mark Ronson have split. The it-couple of New York Fashion Week have reportedly separated following an argument over the 14-year-age gap between them.

Last week the stylish duo were spotted all over the Big Apple at fashion shows, at designer after-parties, and on the front row.

Yesterday, Daisy was back in London and back on the catwalk at the PPQ spring/summer ’09 show. She was watched in the front row by pals, Pixie and Peaches Geldof (who modelled for PPQ two seasons ago). Overall, Daisy is expected to model in two shows this week.

CQ covered the PPQ show here and will be funneling lots of exclusive London Fashion Week goss our way!

With show after show of colourful femininity, the Diesel Black Gold show was a refreshing change, presenting an edgy punk-meets-classic collection. Dotted with distressed denim that has been sprayed with bleach, menswear was given a new lease of life and interpreted for women. Add some low-slung cummerbunds, tailored military jackets, and feather millinery for some 19th century sophistication, and you have a casual too-cool-for-school range, sure to be a winner with the young crowd. Take for example, Daisy Lowe and Mark Ronson (pictured above, left) – this fashion week’s hottest couple, seen just about everywhere.

A few days ago CQ showed us this cover of Purple Fashion Magazine starring Kate Moss and Mario Sorrenti. Kim loved Kate’s super-short, zipped Balmain dress.

Charlotte Ronson moves to the tents

By Andrea Kiliany Thatcher on August 13th, 2008

Charlotte Ronson dress.jpg

Looks like Charlotte Ronson has hit the big time, showing her spring 2009 collection, her sixth, in the Bryant Park tents.

Ronson’s siblings – D.J. and possible Lindsay Lohan paramour Samantha Ronson, and brother Mark Ronson (a D.J./musician as well) – tend to come out to support one another for big events. Does this mean we can look for Lindsay in the tents? Could help the celebrity shortage…

“It wasn’t really a sudden decision, it’s been a progression,” Ronson told Fashion Week Daily. “It’s very exciting for me to know that at this stage of my fashion career, I am able to show in the Tents. At the same time, I am nervous and overwhelmed at the thought. Being in the Tents has always implied a certain status and achievement as well as recognition within the fashion world. I am thrilled and feel honored.”
