We mentioned a few weeks ago that Michelle Trachtenberg (most recently on our screens in Gossip Girl, but always remembered by me for playing Dawn in Buffy) was going to be collaborating with the jewellery and accessory brand Coach on a jewellery line. We’re not sure whether the line will be available in the UK, but we’re crossing our fingers, because we love the ‘Holiday Bee’ collection that’s available in the US now before her full line is launched.
But really, how could we not love something that’s been described as ‘Marie Antoinette meets Blondie’. You can lust after these edgy but cute designs now – we’re especially loving this bracelet that mixes hardware with the unexpected colour combination of sky blue and yellow Swarovski crystals. One thing we can’t decide is whether it would look better on Blair or Serena…
The stars came out for Pamela Roland yesterday, including Nicky and Paris Hilton continueing their rounds. Amanda Bynes and Michelle Trachtenberg sat next to each other in the front row and looked as if they were having a great time, and just a few seats down was Kristen Bell. Before the show started I also spotted Miss Jay and Nigel of “America’s Next Top Model.”
Designer Pamella DeVos evoked the elegance of Russia with warm furs, crystal- and jewel-encrusted gowns and deep jewel-toned dresses in silk, cashmere, crepe, chiffon and velvet with gold and silver adornments.

While we have next month’s New York Fashion Week to ogle the high-fashion outerwear straight off the runway, for more casual coats Sundance is the place to look.
Lumberjack checks have been in no short supply with both Michelle Trachtenberg and Emmy Rossum choosing cozy styles to keep warm while dashing between SWAG lounges and movie premieres.
It’s been 11 days of more film screenings than usual in L.A., with the annual American Film Institute’s AFI Fest film festival in town. Celebs came out in looks from the demure, see Michelle Trachtenberg, below, to the fashion forward/ (Tilda Swinton in a good way, Bai Ling in … her own way.)
Check out Botkier’s Zoe pump, $420, on Michelle Trachtenberg! The shoe looks much cooler and less loafer-like on Michelle than it does on the Botkier Web site. We’re glad we got another look at this one!
Michelle wears them in black, but we like the gunmetal patent or liquid metal options better. There’s definitely been a ruffle vibe on the spring runways, so these may carry you through winter and beyond!
Jill Stuart devotees will be very happy with the pretty colors and fabrics floating down the spring 09 runway at the New York Public Library. Silk and organza dresses were paired with lots of layers (some in drab jersey, just looked sloppy) and some oversized, cropped jackets (much smarter). The muted pinks, ivories and grays were shot through with a few metallics. And it wasn’t the first time we’ve seen some chunky knits on spring runways, interesting. New trend in response to the over-air conditionification of America?
We already let you know Michelle Trachtenberg (“Buffy,” “Gossip Girl”) was front row, but check out a more surprising face after the jump.
How do you steal the limelight from Marc Jacobs? How about rocking up with a new ‘do, bringing Jennifer Lopez (in RM Roland Mouret) along for the ride? Ahhh, Posh, how we love you! Also on the circuit were ‘it’ couple Mark and Daisy looking too cool for school, Gossip Girl’s Michelle at Jill Stuart and Mary-Kate and Nicole cosying up for some front row photos at Proenza Schouler. With all these celebs attending the shows it’s a wonder there are seats left for anyone who actually works in fashion…
Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester may be visiting TRL in New York City in the photo above, but their on-screen counterparts will be hitting the Hamptons for their second season.
“Cause you gotta go to the Hamptons, right?” Leighton Meester told Eonline’s Kristin Dos Santos on the set of Entourage, on which Meester is guest starring next season. “And, by the way, we aren’t shooting in Staten Island like they did on Sex and the City. We’re shooting in the real Hamptons.”
Ooh la la, who are the ruling fashionista’s of Manhatten now? For more GG season two news, keep reading.
Both Blake Lively and Michelle Trachtenberg, co-stars on Gossip Girl, attended the Met Costume Institute Gala last night. Ironically it is fellow castmate Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Waldorf, who would be most likely to attend the event in the ficticious New York of the show. (Can’t you just see Blair attending with her mother the designer?)
But back to reality and some real rumors that are spreading – apparently there is no love lost between Trachtenberg and the rest of the cast whom she avoided on the red carpet.
To be fair, they’re probably more into charity than they are Dominos, and that’s probably why they flocked to De Grisogono’s Hollywood Dominos tournament benefiting The Art Of Elysium. And we’re really, really hoping this red carpet serves as some sort of glamour barometer for the Oscars on Sunday as almost everyone looked stunning.
