America’s Next Top Model on the CW (or ANTM) gets crazy for fashion this week. Bianca talked down to Heather about having Aspergers, which was totally not cool. But Heather got a makeover and some acceptance from the other girls (finally). At the ‘Fashion Madhouse,’ a mental institution-looking place, Miss J helped the girls with correct runway walking…in straightjackets. Hmmm, tough love? But it was to help them learn how to walk in constricting dresses, such as the ones they modeled for Colleen Quen’s runway show. Saleisha won the runway challenge and off she’ll fly to gay Paree to be a model in Colleen’s debut of her new collection. More on the show after the jump.

Looking like a mixture of otherworldly alien and parody of a model, with her sharp cheekbones and broom-thin body, Iekeliene Stange (pronounced Ee-kel-een-ah) has quickly become a member of the new batch of top models. A favorite of big names in the fashion industry, photographer Steven Meisel picked her for a Vogue Italia shoot and Marc Jacobs had her open his spring 2006 show, where she removed her Lucite heels half-way down the runway. Calling Snow White and Japan’s Harajuku girls personal style icons, Stange’s outfits backstage are sometimes more impressive than her outfits on stage. She regularly shows up to events wearing lens-free glasses and dresses usually only suitable for four-year-olds or cartoon characters.

Quite possibly my new favorite show on TV. Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style is on Bravo at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Thursday night. This isn’t a show that barges in, remakes you and leaves you in so-so fashions good for one season only. Fashionister Tim Gunn and sidekick former model Veronica Webb enter in ‘verbal agreements’ with his subjects to help them find what is a great style for them, because, as Tim says, style comes from within. The clients use clothes that are theirs, with a few alterations, and they do get a few new amazing clothes selected for the body shape and size. I love that Tim uses a computer to input the sizes of the subjects, then ‘dresses’ them in the clothes they had to keep, thus showing why a particular article of clothing is better (or worse!) than another style.

Target is on a roll, announcing another fabulous designer for an upcoming collection. First, it was Alice Temperley, then Erin Fetherston (both still to come), now it’s Jovovich-Hawk. Designed by model/actress Milla Jovovich and model Carmen Hawk, the vintage-inspired clothing is worn by fashion trendsetters like Chloe Sevigny and Joy Bryant. Jovovich told the LA Times recently “Our Target line will have all our classic pieces: smock dresses, tunics, minis, all vintage-inspired, great prints,” she said. “To be able to do it with a big company that can afford to do it for a good price so that real girls can afford it. That’s the reason we were interested.” The collection will appear in stores this spring and clothing will retails for about US$35.

Following the consumer success of Kate Moss’ line for TopShop, the model that entered the stratosphere will design a second collection for the high street shop. Available September 7, 2007, in three hundred stores across the UK and online, this new collection is said to be more professional and braver than her previous one. Moss dares to break away from re-designing her own wardrobe, creating truly unique pieces this time around. The clothing takes inspiration from a range of sources including 1920s flappers, grunge, and Ali McGraw in Love Story. The pieces range in price from £12 to £150.
